Notre is the best menswear shop my boyfriend and I’ve been to, hands-down. The one thing I can’t seem to understand is how a lot of the menswear-focused shops seem to miss the ball on customer service and having a real identity. There are so many shops out there with snarky staff who judge you the minute you walk in the store or shops that only stock super expensive clothes and expect you to just walk in and know what every brand is. Notre is the opposite of that. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the products they carry. They have a great selection of clothes for men and other goods — a wall of Malin + Goetz products, cool stack of Japanese ceramics, and a sick array of shoes. I would say that the products at Notre aren’t even that expensive compared to the brands that are carried at other menswear shops. Everything here is of excellent quality and I can’t recommend this shop enough!

This fancy little men’s boutique in Andersonville is a breath of fresh air for the neighborhood. The vibe is casual but the brand selections are top end, even obscure. As such, I was put off by the prices of the garments, which might generally command these numbers for their quality. The aesthetic is rugged casual. The price point is Barney’s. Most of the brands I don’t recognize because I guess I’m not educated enough to be in the know about them. The ones I do recognize, however are pretty covetable: A.P.C., Barbour, Y-3 to name a few. I really don’t know who would shop here, however. You will come out of here with an outfit of very high quality, tailored to of-the-moment proportions, looking kind of like you shopped a vintage resale shop at some stratospheric multiples of the price you would have paid. The service is fine and vaguely aloof, but maybe it was obvious that an $ 80 basic t shirt, $ 220 corduroys, and $ 400 sneakers weren’t my thing. However, they may be yours, so have at it. I hope this place lasts. I’m not optimistic, however.

Last week I decided to take a friend of mine to Notre. The store opens at 12:00 pm and we arrived at 11:50am. Looking through the window, the 2 associates in the back of the store seemed busy going over who knows what, but noticed us freezing outside eagerly awaiting them to open the doors. After glancing at us briefly, they turned their heads back to their previous task. Fine. We left and went to Foursided(5 stars) for a bit before returning to Notre, making sure it was at least 12:00 pm(which it was, on the dot). My friend and I waited for 5 minutes outside in the snow while the same associates continued their busy work around the store without ever acknowledging our existence. I was so upset that we just left and took our money elsewhere. I’d imagine as a small business owner that this is completely unacceptable. Either open your doors at the time you have clearly marked, or change your time to something later allowing you to prep for the day’s sales. Guest service is everything and they failed that day, losing my business for good. Which is sad because they’re now nearly the only option for fine men’s clothing in Andersonville. Good luck Notre.

Stopped by last night and was very impressed with the merchandise and the service. Finally a boutique store that actually carries fashion in my size(44#). Bought a great Steven Alan coat that looks awesome with business professional clothing or jeans. Wasn’t planning on buying anything, but I liked the store and the quality. I will return…

New addition to Andersonville. Great tailored collection of men’s clothing. Friendly staff, who seemed to really engage in conversation versus just trying to sell you something. Huge fan of their accessories. If in the area pop in and give it ago. Dont let the the sticker prices shock you, they carry very high quality goods.

Nice little men’s shop with beautiful clothing. I will need to give it another chance, but I stepped in last week after reading about it on a few sites I follow, and the guys were sort of preoccupied, or perhaps I didn’t fit their customer profile? I wasn’t dressed very well because I was running out to buy dog food. Anyway, I looked at a few items and they were expensive, but I do spend money on well made clothing so that wasn’t the issue. If they are not friendly or able to say hello, then they need to hire people who are. Pretentious.

Stopped in this weekend with my lovely wife. I was so impressed. I am certainly coming back. I really missed His Stuff when they sadly shuttered. We need a nice men’s wear store. This is a small crew of guys who broke from Haberdash to do their own thing while keeping the quality up. They did a great job with décor and I can’t wait to see what they continue to discover and bring to my neighborhood. Everyone was very informative and attentive without being pushy at all. I will certainly be back. I hope they become a staple in my favorite neighborhood.
