I’ve seen Dr. Christopher Mahr several times for various orthopaedic injuries. He’s an exceptionally gifted doctor who is intellectually brilliant, compassionate, has a great sense of humor and bedside manor. Every examination and initial diagnosis he has given me has been accurate and later backed up by diagnostic testing.
Dr. Mahr spends time listening to patients concerns and is a caring and highly competent doctor. If you have any orthopaedic issues, Dr. Mahr is the orthopaedic specialist that you want to see.

This is a review of Dr. Christopher Mahr. The Dr. was very rushed with me and never called me with my results. I called the office for weeks before I got the results of my tests.
This is unacceptable since I was in so much pain and as far as taking time to acknowledge me in his office this is also unacceptable I was given maybe 3 – 4 minutes. I have seen Dr’s at Northshore, Swedish and Rush and never had that happen.
I now have to find a new Dr.

This is just a review for Dr. Christopher Mahr at Northwest Orthopaedic Assocs Ltd in Chicago. Dr. Mahr is a great physician and gifted surgeon who truly loves his work and his patients. I’ve gone to him several times for various injuries and with each treatment, I was back to 110%. He also performed ankle surgery on my wife last year and she was 100% better at least 2 months ahead of schedule!
If you’re looking for a warm, compassionate orthopedist with a great sense of humor and very professional demeanor, schedule an appointment to see Dr. Mahr. Although this office is quite busy, and as with all doctor’s offices, there is sometimes a little wait, the wait is definitely worth it because Dr. Mahr actually takes the time to listen to your concerns and to thoroughly examine each and every patient. Other doctors will usually get you in, write up a prescription, and get you the hell out of their office while only having seen you (the patient) for no more than 5 — 10 minutes which is ridiculous. And most of them have the personality of a loaf of stale bread.
If I could give Dr. Mahr a 100 star rating (which he truly deserves), then I definitely would. Call and schedule an appointment today.
