This is a perfect little corner shop. The sandwiches are exactly what you expect. Good quality ingredients and quick service make for good sandwiches. They have a solid selection or beer, wine, and liqure and even some basics for the house. We first stopped when we had just moved in to the neighborhood and this was a good and quick option to get food while we were unpacking.

This is favorite neighborhood wine shop. They do an excellent job curating their wines, beers, and liquor. We have only had sandwiches from their deli once, but it was delicious. They also allow you to bring in your dogs, which works well for us because we can stop by after work while walking the pups. The staff is very friendly. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Great local store that I wish was more common in Chicago. Corner storefront in an old-time-y building, love it. First off, they have Boar’s Head, which is great. I think this is the only place in Uptown that offers it. So, that’s wonderful. They also have a great selection of beer and wine, come here if you’re looking for Revolution or Schlitz. Also, nice collection of other items, like cheese, ice cream, liquor, they’ve got it all. Finally, you can actually get a sandwich here and they’re pretty good! A great neighborhood place, I hope it sticks around a while.

I went there for the first time today. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are made right in front of you– fresh and delicious! They have a great selection of items for entertaining. I will definitely be going back!

This place is still great, over a year later. Their sandwiches have become a staple for us — they are so good, very fresh, and extremely reasonably priced. Very friendly staff ready to make recommendations — and they know what they are talking about too! The beer selection is always changing and the always have interesting things in stock. Definitely a great addition to Buena Park /Uptown.

Great place and very friendly staff. I love the fact that they have boars head meat and cheese to purchase or have them make you a sandwich to go. Great selection of wine and craft beers and a decent amount of snacks to go with it:) Highly recommend this place

Do yourself a favor and go to Jewel. I highly doubt they will turn away business because they are«just tryin’ to keep it simple». I’ll make sure when it’s time to renew your liquor license, since I’m a neighbor, I’ll dispute it. You know because«I’m just trying to keep it simple.»

Top notch wine, liquor and beer selection(everything from cheap wine to 17yr McCallan single malt); and Boar’s Head meats and cheeses at the deli, need I say more? Competitively priced, and the gentleman working chased me down, on foot two blocks with my soup I forgot. I will be back!

Oh my gosh I could not be happier about the fact that I moved right down the street from a place as awesome as this. This was one of the first spots I tried when I moved to the area and they have GREAT sandwiches. I get the Chipotle Chicken and I could eat every day.(I actually might have had one every day this week.) Other than great sandwiches, this place is also constantly spotless. I’ve never been to a deli that was so immaculately clean and this is coming from a complete neat freak. As a wine shop, they have a great selection, and the employees know exactly where everything is and can answer any questions you have about the wines. They also have a pretty great selection of food and snacks. I’m so lucky to have this place down the street and I am sure everyone in the area feels the same.

What a gem in this neighborhood. Great staff, great wine/beer/liquor selection, and great deli. I don’t buy my alcohol anywhere else. Thank you for bringing such a great business to the area!

This is a pretty good local business. It’s pretty unassuming, and filled with plenty of interesting choices. It’s something of a cross between trader joes and whole foods, but downsized to be the size of a starbucks. What this means is: — Everything is pretty fresh — There are a pretty good variety of alcohol options — The deli sandwiches are made on the spot. The deli sandwich I had was pretty good by itself, and seeing a good vegetarian deli sandwich option at a place so small was a giant plus. Compare this to the average americanized restaurant, where you are likely to have between 1 and 2 vegetarian options including appetizers. Unfortunately they don’t have much in the way of non-alcoholic beer/wine, but I do recognize that looking for that is some of the more obscure things to be looking for in any grocery store/equivalent. I think if I’m in the area, I would definitely come back and grab a sandwich again.

This place is the best. The staff is great always happy to help and good people. I used to live right across the street and would go a few times a week. Always stocked with good beer and wine. They have a great cooler filled with tons of ingredients for a DIY sausage/cheese board. Or if you need a quick meal option they make fresh sandwiches to order at their deli counter. Great local business, Chicago needs more places like this.

I’ve been coming here at least once every week or two since they opened– I live very close. I’ve always been pleased with their options, but today I had an exceptional experience: Last week I was picking up a six pack and asked if they carried the new Two Brothers special edition White IPA, Cabinets of Curiosity. They didn’t, and that was fine, it is a new beer and I wasn’t upset. Today I went in, and they had it! After I thanked the cashier for having it in stock, he said another employee had made a note to start carrying it. I was SO pleased, because I didn’t even ask for them to order it or anything extra special. It is very clear they will go the extra mile to make their customers happy. Also, the deli is fab. I get their Chipotle Chicken sandwich occasionally, and it always hits the spot. ALSO also, sometimes on Fridays they do free wine tastings. Gotta love that. If you’re local, please make this your new go-to liquor store!

They have Gumball Head and many different Angry Orchard ciders. My friend was very excited, she usually can’t find Gumball Head.

Welcome to the hood, North Buena! We are happy to have you! So, I’ve been here twice in the last week … don’t judge… and it has definitely become my new go-to liquor store. To all my fellow winos, NB has a seriously impressive selection of wines which are grouped by type and by country. They have a great craft beer(I see you, Founder’s, Bell’s, Southern Tier, Two Brother’s) and liquor selection, friendly staff, and really reasonable prices compared to other options in the area. NB also has a counter where you can order sandwiches, meats and cheeses– I tried the Italian sandwich– it was decent. I’ll be back again soon for my next wine and cheese fix.

WOOT! WOOT! When I saw the Coming Soon! signs, I started to get very excited. There are not a lot of «fine» anything in Uptown /Buena Park so this was something to watch. When I saw that they would have gourmet cheeses AND wine, I think I lost it. No more biking to Whole Foods or Trader Joes on these cold winter days! I have to admit that I am very impressed with their selection. Plenty of domestic and imports to choose from(and that goes for the wine too!) The staff seem very knowledgable and eager to answer questions and help. Moreover, their reasonable prices are a blessing to my already over worked debit card! I hear that there will be some open houses and tastings in the near future which I am very much looking forward to! A great addition to the neighborhood and I can certainly call myself a fan! Cheers!

This place is great for a changing neighborhood. First off, it’s not perfect. The sandwiches could be priced by type & weight not per 1 meat, 1 cheese — this adds no character, theme or anything memorable. Now the good. Wine and spirit selection is impressive. They have ice wine from Canada — someone is tailoring to the people in the area that have to travel to get a good selection. The store is clean and comp priced while trendy looking. Sandwiches are FRESH. Support this place if local as it has a chance to fix the small things moving forward. I think it has the tough things figured out of the gate since it opened two weeks ago.

Stopped in on Sunday night. The place was clean, well stocked with a good variety of craft beer, prices were reasonable, and the people working were friendly. I think it’s a great addition to the neighborhood, especially since Jewel’s selection is lacking and this is just as far of a walk to my place.

When a sharp new wine shop & deli opens on an underserved stretch of Broadway(there’s a 7 – 11 across the street and a hole-in-the-wall Chinese«restaurant» next door), it’s time to alert the neighbors. This place has a better than average selection of wines and spirits at prices that you would just about expect in this neighborhood. Domestic wines seem better represented than imports at this point, and there’s a broad range of prices, with, for example, Merlots from 7.99 and up. It’s easy to browse with all the wine bottles standing upright but I have to question putting the whites in front of the plate glass windows where they are likely to bake in the sun. The deli case was full of cheese and meat ready to be sliced to your order, and I liked the little counter seating area by the door where you could sit and watch the No. 36 bus go back and forth. On day one everything was clean and well organized and I hope it stays that way. This is the anti-7−11 and I hope people come out and support this neighborhood newbie.
