Natural Spa Manicure

I always really enjoy my experience here, great location, nice color selection, I have my eyebrows done here and Susie always does a great job. Overall it’s a wonderful neighborhood nail place.

This was the worst manicure I have ever had from Susie — I have had manicures for 28 years. Not only was it sub par, I had yellow stains around my nails. and the polish did not cover the nail. I went home and removed the polish. Her co– worker actually did a very nice pedicure. The place is so small that there is no place for you to sit to wait for your pedicure to dry instead I was sent home. It is also dirty and clutter. As other reviews mentioned, Susie was more concerned about up selling than providing a service.

I stumbled upon this place randomly even though I have lived half a block away from here my whole life. Wow what a pleasant surprise! Susie was awesome. She was a genuinely caring person that took her time and did not try to sell me anything extra at all. Actually it was quite the opposite she did extra services on me that she didn’t charge me for. When the time came to pay I was expecting to get a really high bill which I wouldn’t of minded paying since she did such a great job. However it was another pleasant surprise that the bill was half of what I thought it would be and made me feel great to meet such a honest caring person. Thanks Susie!

I too was very excited to go to this location — close to my office, easy spot for a manicure during the lunchhour.
As other Unilocalers mentioned, I got pushed for products and services the entire time. She wanted me to say yes to the shellac service, but I only wanted a simple manicure. Over and over, get the shellac get the shellac — it got a little ridiculous. I told her that I’d try it the next time, but was thinking in my head I was not likely to return.
The manicure was sub-​par. Polish was somewhat sloppy but live-​able. When we got to the top coat, she told me that one polish of the shellac gel on top of the nail would set the manicure and cut down on my drying time. Trying to get back to the office, I agreed. Not until after my hands came out of the dryer and the polish was warping throughout did she tell me that I was an experiment and she had never done this before.
Immediately she started trying to fix it with «come back tomorrow if you don’t like it, I’ll fix it» She also told me that I needed to not fixate on the imperfections, because no one will ever notice but me. She then proceeded to top the gel coat with 4 layers of top coat to fix the ripples. You can still see them through every nail. We would have been better off starting from scratch.
I needed it done correctly the first time so that I could be in working order for an event I’m attending tonight, ran out of time to continue to have her fix, and had to go back to the office with bad nails. Now, I get to pay to have someone else fix her mistake. My nails look terrible. I won’t return.

Susie is an absolute delight. Not only does she give perfect, thorough manicures and pedicures, but she never fails to go the extra mile. Unlike other salons, you NEVER feel like Susie is trying to rush you out the door. She genuinely cares about her clients. I always look forward to my appointments, because they’re SO relaxing. She’s the best… I don’t need to try any other Chicago salon.

This has been a year of discovery for me — massage, the pleasures of being pierced and now, today, my first ever manicure & pedicure.
Suzie is a solo artist which means that you are the only one in the store. My sister had told me that having a man next to her when getting a manicure & pedicure spoiled the experience for her… so problem solved.
For $ 50 I got quite the treatment. The pedicure was much more involved than the manicure but both include massage and lots of gentle treatment.
The kicker for me was that Suzie decided that I needed to have my eyebrows done and, as a free «extra,» the next thing I knew I was horizontal on a table as she cut and plucked my unruly brows. I was worried that I’d look weird at the end of it, but I could hardly tell the difference — except that I no longer have long straggly hairs in my eyebrows.
Loved the experience. I will be going back regularly.

This was the best manicure and pedicure experience. Susie is such a nice person and she uses the best products that are available on the market. I paid 50 $ for mani/​pedi which is nothing comparing to the treatment that I got. I will definitely return for my brazilian wax, which I heard is one of the best in the city.

i just went to natural spa for the first time and ran back home to write a review because it was that good.
that was the best manicure-​pedicure i’ve ever had for such a great value. it was $ 50 and worth every penny. the quickie, impersonal places are about $ 40, so it’s an extra $ 10, but i’m telling you it’s so worth it. first of all, it was 2 hours long. who else gives you personal attention for 2 hours?! second of all, it’s private and i had the whole place to myself. susie locked the door and then for 2 hours she took care of me with tea, relaxing music and so much pampering. no phone calls, no nothing, it was just she and i and she gave me her full attention. she also has lots of great tips for things to do at-​home. i already booked for next week — this is my new weekly gift to myself.
you don’t have to have an appointment, i don’t think, but you should try to get one because since it’s private, you can’t just walk in unless she’s not with a customer. she has good availability and is flexible to work with your schedule, so i recommend calling ahead.

I have gone to Susie for about a year and a half for eyebrow and brazilian waxes, and I won’t go anywhere else. She’s very professional and does great work, she’s so easy to talk to, and never once have I felt rushed during an appointment. I’ve been sending girlfriends there as well; Susie’s the best!

Wow — this is the best eyebrow wax i’ve ever had. The most attention to detail, and at one of the best prices. At only $ 15, it blows away any that I’ve had the unfortunate opportunity of spending $ 20 or even $ 25 on.
Susie is very thorough and uses high quality products. She takes the time and really makes sure everything looks spectacular when you’re done. I have been meaning to try her for a long time, and am so glad I finally stopped in. She owns the business and really appreciates when a new customer comes. I will definitely be back not only for my next brow wax, but for other services as well.

Susie is the best.
I’ve been going to Susie for 6 years and she never disappoints. She’ll take great care of you. She does great pedis and eyebrows and the prices are very reasonable.

I’ve been going to Susie for 8 years now, and there’s no one else I go to for pedicures or waxing. She offers manis, pedis, facils and waxing services for very reasonable prices. Her technique is excellent and she’s easy to talk to.
