Just moved to the area so I am checking out all the bars around me. Place seems very mom and pop– by that I mean everyone knows each other here. I have never gone to a bar by myself before and this is my first experience at it. Great prices on everything. Seems kind of shady though– an awkward vibe was hugging me the entire time I was there. Definitely a Latin hangout spot. Only downfall, they don’t have bitters… I couldn’t order my favorite cocktail(Old Fashioned).

Dude, from the outside it may seem like there’s not much going on, but there’s nothing but family, friends, an always welcome attitude, and hella good times at this place. Come say hello and you’ll leave a member of the coolest bunch of people the world will ever know. Carol is the freaking best!

This lounge is dependable for knowing people they drink here. Yes there has been trouble, but this bar is reliable for being fun! The drinks are inexspensive and mixed well. Ask for«Carol», she is an awsome and fun bartender. Closed forever

Sure the Music Lounge is a little sketchy… but take a look around in what neighborhood you’re in… But if you’re in the area, I definitely recommend making a stop here. The drinks are really cheap, the staff is always nice, and once a month DJ Mikey is there(he actually brings in his awesome iMac) and cranks out tunes ranging from Passion Pit to David Bowie to Santana(I think the Santana was actually requested by a patron…). There’s plenty of room to start a dance party(really, it’s been done a few times, I swear), the 50 cent chips are great munchies to have on hand, and I could play their dart game all night. I’ve never had a bad time at this place so go out and try it if you’re in the area!

The owners thought that if they added Flat Tire Beer and changed the name to The Music Lounge, then slowly hipsters, artists types, and the gainfully employed would drink there. The problem is they want it both ways. They don’t want to completely get ride of the gang bangers until the change is complete. Well you can’t have it both ways. The Music Lounge is not like an old man bar, Its a middle age gang banger bar and who wants to bring a date to a middle age gang banger bar unless it’s another gang banger? Or a hipster that thinks it’s cool to have a 50 year old active Latin King hit on their date. And the drinks just aint cheap enough for that noise.
