Montgomery Ward Park

Such a BEAUTIFUL park located right along the Chicago River. Only a block from where we live, so naturally I come here often. It’s made up of a few hills, trees, a fairly new and awesome looking children’s playground, and benches scattered along the edge facing the river. So fun to watch all the tour boats and party boats go by! You can catch the boat ferry here too– I believe it can take you to Michigan ave., as well as other stops. It’s also the home to the taste of river north (currently going on, and one of the better, smaller sized fest in the cit). In the summer, it’s the perfect place to throw a towel down and catch some rays. In the summer it also host outdoor «movies in the park». Dogs are not allowed in the park, but there’s a huge, new dog park adjacent to this one. It’s also the place where my husband proposed to me, so it will always be a special place for us.
