I have eat the tons of McDonald my whole life. More than I would like to admit too. The location of this mcdonalds is pretty hidden and kind of depressing but OMG was this the best mcdonalds I ever tasted. Jesus Christ I have no clue what they are doing to the food but holy crap it is just amazing. My Big Mac and fries tasted so fresh that I was left speechless. No BS this was the best tasting mcdonalds I have EVER had.

Kind of busier than normal so they got all of our special orders incorrect except for one. Clean place, especially considering the foot traffic that they get. The place could use another soda fountain bar as it tends to line up. Food was the same as every McD’s I’ve ever been my entire life! Haha

This is inside the Field Museum on the bottom level.
The place is a nightmare, the order takers kept taking orders while the order fillers were running around filling orders piecemeal. The order trays kept backing up and spreading to the next cashier… it was confusion.
The confusion might explain why on my receipt it says a Boy toy for the the Happy Meal and my son received a Barbie Toy… maybe in Chicago they play with things differently.
There is also a self served drinks… but there is only 1 drink station so there is a long line waiting to get drinks. The tables were sticky and dirty, during my stay, I did not see anyone wiping down the tables.

This place can get bonkers busy on summer weekends. Prices are slightly elevated from normal McD prices; ie no dollar menu.
You forgot to take lunch with you to the museums? This is an OK option, and it’s inside and air conditions. The crew here is pretty speedy.
