I’ve been going to El Kora for a few years now. My family and I absolutely love it! I’ve tried their competitors and this place by far is much better. They have a great customer service. Everytime we go in we feel welcome. The waitress Rosario just goes above and beyond. My favorite is the stuffed pineapple with the creamy sauce, but everything is so good, even the rice!!! It’s a BYOB place, no bottles allowed, which is fine with me.

They have very good Mexican seafood. Try the fillete rellano and the langostino’s. They’re delicious. I have been here at least 10 times over the years and I am never dissapointed. The food is very authentic yet very different from traditional American seafood. I would definitely be going back and have already recommended them to lots of family and friends.

I found out about this place earlier on in the year. Used to be a huge fan of one of their competitors until my first visit here. Customer service is great, no attitudes. I appreciate the fact that if you don’t like something on your plate you can remove it and replace it with something else. One of my favorite dish is the langostinos California because of the spice. I also love the piña rellena minus the oysters(personal choice). I recommend the one in the creamy sauce. I’ve liked every dish that I have ordered from here. One more thing it’s byob CANONLY so don’t be surprised if they hold your bottled beer at the entrance. Enjoy your beer with a killer michelada!

This place! Besides having the best Michelada Mix and it being BYOB it has a pretty chill environment. Service doesn’t take forever and the food is Delicious! I go there for the Piña Rellena all the time! My absolute favorite. Portions are well served pretty fast service for the amount of people they have in their during the weekends!

I have been here twice. The food is good. A little overpriced in comparison to the famous El Veneno restaurant. Only difference here is that their service is not what you expected from a small business. They overprice their luke warm horchata, even with ice it is still warm. 3 dollars for a 16 oz glass of that warm horchata. Restaurant is BYOB, but make sure it’s canned. We took bottles and they confiscated it until we were ready to leave.

El kora is definitely a great mexican sea food place. I been coming here since they opened a couple of years ago. This place is byob! The stuffed fish is the most unique dish I have ever had. Being a stuffed fish fanatic I have tried many places, but this dish is hands down the best! The dish is reasonably priced and it can feed two adults. The fish is prepared in a cream sauce topped with scallops, muscles, calamari, shrimp and crab meat… do I need to go on? Ramiro the owner/chef is always accommodating and his staff is pleasant. This place has me hooked! No pun intended. If your in the area this is definitely a place to check out. Try the shrimp or fish tacos, they will not disappoint. Don’t forget to bring your favorite drink…

Great seafood here! definitely recommended to take lots of friends to. The dishes are in the 12 – 20 dollar range. But take another friend with you and get only one plate, they’re HUGE! The ceviche was the bomb. A+ food, check it out

Looking for a good seafood place? Too bad, its a Marisco place. This place is located two blocks east of Kedzie, on a side street corner, but you will probably miss it. Their tiny parking lot is on the corner, and they are located on the first floor of what appears to formerly have been a two flat. The décor? No décor, looks like a tacoria. The average price for a dish is $ 12-$ 16, and goes up from there(hey its seafood you cheapo. The food is really tasty and the portions are generous. With that said, The food is usually over cook, which may not be a bad thing with seafood on the southside of Chicago, just a thought, but the taste and portions do make up for it, Its hard to explain why but it does. Try the Seafood Stuffed Pineapple, probably the best value there, around $ 14 and feeds two. Also try the Langostinos(Crawfish on the menue, Actually prawns), this comes with rice, «salad» and fries.
