Maple Pointe Apartments

I quite agree with the various reviews regarding Maple Pointe Apartments and Urban Innovations. However there is one point the previous residents of Maple Pointe that have made reviews here, have overlooked, and continue to do so.
Property Managers and property staff can only perform duties that are approved by the Owner and Management Company. Property Managers DO NOT OWN buildings, they DO NOT receive large checks. They simply follow through with the desires of ownership.
Maple Pointe Apartments has been severely neglected throughout the years and major projects have been ignored, much to the chagrin of the on-​site Property Managers. Elevators were absolutely down and no one from Urban Innovations or ownership made a move to expedite the repairs. The issue was not maintenance more so than it was that the building is 20 years old and elevator parts and systems should be upgraded.
Of course the Management Staff would be blamed because they were in the direct line of fire of all telephone calls, irate resident visits and irate family members of the irate residents. In many instances the Property Manager was blamed directly for the major systems that were in disrepair and remained that way for far too long.
In any building that is 20 years old, systems break down. It is the lackluster, non-​existent assistance and support from Corporate and Ownership that made this job impossible to endure. Working as a Property Manager at Maple Pointe was like being the rope in a tug of war. Residents want what they want while Ownership moves hell and high water to not give it to them, in order to maintain (or inflate) their bottom line.
Meanwhile the Manager becomes the punching bag, having to endure the disdain and hatred of all the residents regarding the issue of the month. One would have to be an unfeeling robot to not have a semblance of empathy for what was going on at Maple. Nevertheless, was often blamed as if the wallet that could assist in abating the issues rested squarely in the Manager’s pocket.
Such a shame that a building with so much promise and such a great location can not be enjoyed. Maple Pointe is rotting from the inside out and Urban Innovations is the root.
Beware to the next Manager that dares to darken the steps of Maple Pointe! This property can change you-​and NOT for the better!
I know, as I am one of the 18 Managers that has been employed there in the last 20 years!
