Been here a few times since moving to Irving Park in the summer. Everything here is solidly above average, and they are extremely fast and friendly with pick-up orders(always ready within 10 – 15 minutes).

Second time going to this place first time I only got white rice people were very rude. Today I got a sweet & sour chicken lunch special it was over priced doesn’t even come with a drink the food had no flavor I asked for spicy fried rice definitely no spicy sauce in it and again the lady in the front was rude she even sneezed on her hand as she took my credit card and handed me a pen to sing you better believe I pulled out my hand sanitizer in front oh her sorry but that’s just nasty if u must sneeze use your sleeve or cover with your shirt she didn’t even bother washing her hands, putting sanitizer or saying excuse me won’t be going there again.

Love the Chicken fried rice, the Orange chicken isn’t all that great and the people from there are pretty rude but food is good

Food not too bad but not great either, egg rolls were extremely salty and chicken a bit too soft. Customer service kind of rude. Don’t think that I will return.

Best damn Chinese food I have ever had. I had Mongolian Beef, Chow Mein and Egg Rolls. The worst I can say was that the eggrolls were OK. Everything else was spectacular. Definitely coming here again. Worth every penny.

It was a rainy Tuesday evening, and I didn’t feel like cooking after sitting in traffic behind a bunch of idiots. I recently moved to Irving Park from spending 4 years in Logan Square. And I’m in search of a favorite Chinese joint. So, I went to Lo’s and grabbed a small orange chicken and some crab rangoon. The sauce was good, but the chicken was incredibly sickening. Dry, stringy, over fried. I should have known better than to try it when I opened the container and it smelled«toasty and burned.» The crab rangoon were ok, so at least it wasn’t all for naught. After this experience, I’m definitely still looking for my neighborhood go-to for some decent Chinese…

Consistently good, my family has lived in the neighborhood for years and we’ve never had a bad meal from here. I wish they delivered but, don’t mind going out of my way to order pickup. Chicken is always good, never rubbery or over cooked. And super fast.

This has got to be some of the worst service I’ve come across, slow and unprofessional. I didn’t receive a receipt for my purchase; aside from that I was one of the first to place my order and the LAST to leave. People even walked in after me and left before with similar orders. I wasn’t satisfied with their service.

when reading the reviews here, please note the high ratings of people who grew up or spent a lot of time in the neighborhood. if you eat here with any regularity(i lived up the street for four years) you get familiar with the place and appreciate its quality. the fact that Lo’s has been here at least since the 1990s in a city that changes all its storefronts monthly should tell you. since i moved to the suburbs, i have been mostly unsuccessful in finding its peer. this is not foodie Szechuan — what it is is very well done Chinese takeout. Lo’s is a simple, unimpressive storefront with very limited seating for 12 or so, suited to carryout and delivery. the kitchen is pretty fast. counter service, and if you go there more than once or twice you become a friend — these are good people. it’s safe to explore the menu — in fact i would encourage it – but i do agree that Mongolian beef, orange beef, and potstickers are all quite good. special requests no problem. ample portions. reasonable pricing.

Food is decent but I’m only giving them 2 stars because their staff is always extremely unfriendly.

The food is fine — they prepare it pretty quick, and it’s absolutely better than the stuff that you’d get at Panda Express. Star deducted for the service-without-a-smile.

Ready in ten minutes even if you make a special request. Love the fact that they don’t overcook the vegetables — always hot and crunchy. Plumpest potstickers I have ever seen. They appear to have a hidden menu — dishes you have to already know about that aren’t printed on the menu like the spicy eggplant in hot garlic sauce. This is a killer dish with lots of eggplant, bits of crispy pork, onions, bok choy, a few stray carrots, and whole dried hot peppers. Space is completely nondescript and not designed for lingering even though there are a few small tables and chairs. Better to take your food across the street and have a picnic in the park. Great unpretentious neighborhood option.

omg! Never ever eat here! This place is a filthy shit hole. I ordered a large combination fried rice to share with a friend so we decided to eat in the car and after having a few bites of rice I noticed the rice was sort of crispy or hard and I looked at my food and found a f*cking COCKROACH in the food. I never in my life felt so disgusted and filthy. I wanted to wash my mouth with bleach. I spit the food out all over the place and my friend screamed because she was scared and confused. Don’t health inspectors check restaurants? These people need to be shut down forever. I don’t think I will ever be able to eat Chinese food again in my life.

Other peoples shit is some other person’s Chinese Alinea. That should be their slogan. Grading this is more challenging than passing out grades to a special ed class… let me explain. The food is okay, not bad really, but not great. Service is foreign friendly. Atmosphere is the wrong word. Price is fair… makes it a B on a modified scale. Overall it’s okay

I called and ordered orange chicken at 9′ o clock at night. First thing I noticed about this whole experience was the guy never told me how long it would take. I showed up aprox 10 min later and it still wasn’t done, no big deal. It ended up taking about 5 more min and I had my 2yr old with me so that kind of sucked. My impressions of the restaurant itself were good. Very clean and orderly. Kitchen is open so that you can see everything that is going on. Onto the food. As I said earlier I ordered the orange chicken. I posted a picture. I wasn’t happy with it overall. It cost 10.25 after taxes and the portion wasn’t that big. I’m kind of picky about that though. When I order Chinese I like to be able to get a couple meals out if it. You probaly could with this meal but they would be pretty small portions. The food itself? The sauce was great the chicken was horrible. Ya, I know. It’s kind of odd to have that big of difference. The chicken was completely scorched. So badly that it was stringy. I ended up taking it all out and mixing the rice in the sauce and eating that. The sauce as I said was good. However, not a traditional orange sauce. Nothing orange about it except the orange they put on top. Sounds strange but I did like it. I’m probably going to back and try the Singapore noodles. Everybody seems to agree they are pretty good. Hope this helps.

This is my «go to» place for carryout Chinese. Fast, good and large portions. I have had other places that seem to serve you a lot when you’re there, but the carryout portions seem smaller, here that’s not the case. Good Chicken Kow, Mongolian Beef, Fried Rice and egg rolls. In addition to the standard fare, they shake it up with some of their own creative dishes and can make just about anything that you want by description. The older lady is an institution here and loves to take care of you. The dining room is not really a great place to sit and have your meal, hence my use of them primarily for carry out. There are about 5 tables, all of them that get the door wind sweep. Best I’ve found within a mile or so of Lincoln Square for carryout.
