Arrived on Saturday around 12 – 1230. Wait was an hour but it’s worth it. It’s in a fun area and they text you when you’re table is ready so you can leave. Valet is worth it and easy. $ 14.00 and they accept credit. WIN! Next door and connects is Little Goat Bakery and coffee bar. We grabbed some lattes and a couple open stools and drank and chatted for a few. There is some outside seating too. We were seated in about 45 min even though they said an hour. Ordered onion rings and fried pickles before. The best pickles I’ve ever had. They onion rings tasted like they were marinated in mustard before breaded and fried & it was great. I definitely wanted something with goat. Order the sloppy goat like a sloppy joe with rosemary slaw. Yep! This was delish!!! Didn’t want it to end. Only comes with the sandwich but with the coffee and onion rings/pickles before it was plenty. They don’t have same day reservations but you can make them before. If you don’t want to wait like we did, do that.

My friend and I had the Bullseye French Toast and the Kimchi Pancake and it was DELICIOUS! The french toast had the full yolk of the egg in the middle of the bread and it was pretty much the most amazing thing I’ve seen done to French toast. Still wondering how they did that. It was served with fries chicken slices and strawberries. You might thing, «that’s the weirdest combination dudee?» Let me tell YOU something, it IS weird, but so GOOD! The kimchi pancake isn’t like the traditional ones. This one had egg, bacon and beans sprouts. Yeap! You read right, Bean sprouts! Like I said, weird but so good. This place is one of my top brunch places in the city. Definitely worth a try :)

Hmmm, my dish was tasty but not sure it’s 5 star worthy for me. I’m gonna have to try a bunch of other dishes to find out whether they have great food. I went there for the first time for lunch and tried their blue plate. It was salmon tacos. If you know anything about me, I’d rather have savory versus sweet. The dish had a combination of both but I wasn’t going insane over the dish. And trust me, there have been moments where I’ve experienced a near food orgasm but not here. It was just good. We also ordered their bread dish. Can’t remember the name but it was a special miso bread with kimchi on the side. The bread was tasty but that kimchi was chef Izzard’s creation. Wasn’t too impressed by it since it was just a pickled relish really with a bit of spice. I’m Korean so if you’re gonna serve kimchi, there better be something different about it. It was just okay. Curious to try their other dishes though so I’m giving it a conservative rating for now. The menu items were creative but it has to be backed with a great taste. Just good so far.

Went in for an early dinner. Tried the parathas burrito — house made flatbread was golden brown, light with a pleasant chew. Sunny side up eggs, avocado, beans and hot sauce is a solid combination. Hash browns were good, little heavy on the cheese, but overall very satisfying. Companion ordered the tonkatsu — gigantic pork cutlet, pounded thin and fried to perfection. Simple white bread with Asian bbq and cabbage melded together perfectly. Ordered a Caesar salad to go. Turns out, it’s not a Caesar salad, at least not in the traditional sense. Way too much going on in there. Loved the radicchio, but found the unexpected addition of red peppers, zucchini and apples overwhelming. The mint was a nice, subtle addiction, and the croutons were fantastic. I was hoping for the punch of Parmesan and overall simplicity of a basic Caesar, so I was a little disappointed. I guess if that’s the only thing on the menu that ends up disappointing, they’re doing something right.

I was shocked! We went there for dinner, 9PM, and when we looked at the menu it was mostly breakfast dishes. I don’t regret, I had one of the best burgers ever. We ordered two glasses of wine served in short glasses, i found it awesome. My wife ordered a nice vegetarian noodles which wa also great! It is too complicated to get a reservation here, this is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

Ordered the breakfast spaghetti this time. Thought it was a very unique combination of noodles, eggs, and clams, but I’ve gotta say, it just wasn’t for me. The broth was a little too salty in my opinion, and I really just regretted not ordering the Bulls Eye French Toast that I was planning on ordering when I went there. I mean overall though, I LOVE this place, but I guess there are just some things on the menu that I’m not the biggest fan of.

Sometimes I wish I lived closer to the west loop to go to these awesome restaurants. Little Goat is such a fun atmosphere that makes you really feel like it’s an ‘outing’ even though it’s casual and diner-ish. The décor is so cute, and the layout with the separate bread store is cool. I had the fish tostada and it was perfect. I love fried fish when it’s super light and not greasy. I’m not sure why I haven’t come back… I need to do that.

Good but not great. My Fat Club fell flat on flavor. The Bull’s Eye French Toast portion was much smaller than expected. I was picturing a larger portion of more traditional fried chicken. The nachos were the star of the afternoon. The house made chips stayed crispy and the topping proportions were on point.

lets. get. down. to. business. (food business) here’s what i ate: LITTLEMISSPIGGYWENTTOCHINA: i usually dont like asian fusion food, being asian myself, and i was a little skeptical about the asian pork sausage thing but they made it so good! i loved the asian scallion biscuit(was hesitant about that too, im a southern so im picky about my biscuits) and the asian style everything was delicious! it had just the right amount of spice and kick to it while yet dialing it down to breakfast /diner level so you’re not walking around the city of chicago with a burning booty hole. i will say tho, i dont like my eggs runny and i asked him to make it over hard. and he said usually when they’re busy thats not an option. so just keep that in mind for my other fellow non-yolk egg lovers. HASHBROWNS: if thats the only thing you get while you’re here, get the hashbrowns. trust me, they’re worth the $ 6 that they’re priced at. you will NOT regret it i promise! little goat is tied in to the little goat bakery next door. i highly regret not visiting it. i was TOOSTUFF to honestly walk anywhere so i just needed to get to a coffee shop to sit down and digest. but it looked beautiful /artsy /free-willed type place from where i sat. my waiter was the nicest friendliest man with glasses and a balding head! dont remember his name but i hope everyone gets him when they come here because he literally made my day better. in summary: this place has been on my MUSTEATS list for literally years(actually girl and goat was, but im too poor to eat there yet) and i am so happy i got to experience this on a beautiful friday morning in february with it being 50 degrees outside. everyone should definitely come here for brunch some time just to experience what the people over at goat are trying to create. this is a wonderful place with beautiful interiors and wonder people and cooks. highly highly recommend! definitely one of my best meals in chicago.

Wow I must say this place got me nocked out with their vegan menu and the chooses, A+ guys! I really thought this place won’t have a single vegan item on the menu, the service was amazing food chooses and how it came out were also incredible little over salted I had their vegan local burger, and the savory mushroom pancake. TIP: reduce the sodium content, and start advertising vegan on Unilocal as well because when I Unilocaled vegan places this place did not show up.

My oh my. What have I done. My waiter. I hate him. He said it was worth trying. I’ve ruined my life. I’ve eaten the greatest burger ever. This place is amazing. The portions are gargantuan. My friends and I came here after a long day of work on a Monday and it was still packed. We originally tried to go to Goat on the Grill(same owner), but of course there was a 2 hour wait on a Monday night at 8 pm… So we headed over here to get some diner food. I was of course skeptical because there was no way diner food would live up to the insane amount of hype I was hearing from my friends. But man, this place is fantastic. Awe-inspiring. Think food buds exploding into a symphony in your mouth. Best yet, the drinks are fantastic and so is the coffee. We ordered some smoked fries and nachos to start. Skip the fries, the nachos are humongous and taste so good. My friends got a bunch of other sandwiches, but the best by far was the Asian pork belly sandwich and this ridiculous Goat almighty burger. WARNING: If you order the burger, prepare to be full for the rest of your life. And maybe puke if you finish all of it that night. Chicago has amazing food… if only you had good weather. I would live here.

Worth the wait! The menu is huge with all sorts of unexpected variations on classic dishes. Started with their rosemary and white chocolate scone which was AMAZING. Scones are truly hit or miss, and this place has got scone making down. I ordered the crispy shrimp cocktail, but it was not your normal shrimp cocktail. They were rock shrimp wrapped and then fried in somen noodles, with a homeade cocktail sauce. I was blown away by how good they were. My friend ordered the breakfast spaghetti with clams and crab, which was more similar to an omelette than anything else but definitely not an omelette. It was very interesting. Their moscow mules were great, and so was their spicy ginger ale. I would go back just for the ginger ale. We waited 45 mins for a table but it noon on valentines eve and most definitely worth the wait.

The wait here is bad just like any popular restaurant in Chicago. Everything I’ve tried here has been pretty damn tasty though! –Goat chili which was delicious but pricy for a tiny cup that you finish in two bites –Kimchee pancakes was so good! You wouldn’t think fermented cabbage would taste good in slightly sweet pancakes but it’s a perfect balance of salty and sweet for savory pancakes! –Kimchee burger was delicious and you can customize them a little w the different type of patties you want. Besides. –Los drowned hoagie. It was heavy and nothing especially amazing. Probably wouldn’t get again!

I have heard all the good things about this place and had to try it out for myself. I must say, few times in my Unilocal life have places not only met the expectations but blew them out of the water… this place did both. Chill, great food, amazing waitress, fantastic environment. Fantastic spot for breakfast. Highly recommend the corned beef hash and eggs. They were both delicious and well-cooked. Enjoyed my time here and will most definitely be back.

What an incredibly cool and hip restaurant. I loved their thick ceramic coffee mug so much I actually ended up buying in their gift shop. Now, I need to buy another one cause my husband keeps using it for himself! I was overwhelmed by their food choices, so I decided to ask the waitress her top choices. My eyes kept glancing at their apple granola pancakes(and I’m salivating just thinking about it) I was happy to hear that was her top choice, and my god, it was the best pancakes I’ve ever had. I don’t even know where to begin — the crunchy tasty granola on top… the fluffy thick pancakes, the syrup… man, it was that good and I will get it again when I come back. Unfortunately I don’t remember what my sister got, but it was an egg with a biscuit and Mexican spices. I tasted it and it was also excellent. My mom ordered their oatmeal and we shared a side of eggs and bacon — because, why not? Wish I could fit in dessert… another reason to come back here!

Hands down one of the best teams to work with on an event! I hosted an event at LG this weekend for a baby shower and from the events team, food, service, drinks they killed it on all fronts. The guest of honor had some dietary restrictions which they were incredibly accommodating to as well as some picky eaters which they were able to accommodate as well. Our bartender for the event was proactive to ensure that all guests were comfortable, topped off and I have to say he makes a killer ginger-something-or-other mock-tail. He also was a big help with helping us set up some of the decorations as were the point of contact/day of event manager and the server/cook who did a little magic on our cake topper. This team was amazing and we were a bit of a pain in the ass so I can’t thank them enough. Thank you to the entire team — Lucy, Brandi, Heather(?), Jeremy, the stellar cook, Mimi(pastry chef), David & anyone behind the scenes/that I missed. I hope I got the names right.

I love love love LOVE this place. I love the atmosphere /décor! It’s a mix of the old diner vibes and a new modern take! You NEED to try the little goat chili cheese fries! They are my absolute favorite guilty pleasure :)! One thing I love is compared to the other restaurants around the area Little Goat gets you seated faster! The most I have ever waited was 30mins(and that was on a saturday night)! It’s a great place for brunch for small or big parties. So far I have tried the sloppy goat, chili fries, ton katsu sandwich, the corn beef hash, and the fried chicken. All of them are amazing! For the amount of food they give you I feel like the price is definitely fair. The fries are $ 11 and the sloppy goat is $ 13. I always have to take some home! They also have a really cute bakery on the side that sells little goat gear! This restaurant is one of my go-tos! Hope you guys like it too!

Hands down the best Bloody Mary to ever touch my lips. I’ve been here in several occasions for brunch. Everything on the menu is great their inlets tend to have a lot of cream cheese in them if you’re into that. I prefer more of the savory things fro the«cereal killers» side of the menu. I’ve gotten 2 if their sandwiches and did not enjoy either of them. Los drowned was good but their breakfast items are better. I also got the tonkatsu and it was no Bueno. The slaw had way too much vinegar in and didn’t compliment the sandwich. Today I had the fat Elvis and it lived up to its name. Just the right amount of syrup. Furthermore the waffle stayed crispy and intact which was a plus. Also the peanut butter butter was amazing. I want to eat a tub of it as a meal. If you go at a normal brunch time you’ll be swamped with a 45+ min wait. However if you’re there around 9 – 10 the wait is tolerable. Go. It’s well worth it. Try to seek out the bar area for a seat too! The bartenders are great.

We go pretty early brunch reservations for this place and I am glad because after we ordered it was like there was a sale or something because I turned around and there was a huge line out the door. Geez. We ordered the the«little piggy wen to china»($ 14) and it definately was not lacking in any flavor. It was a bit too salty for breakfast though… The hash browns infused with goat cheese was delicious and the side is a big portion! but the MUSTORDER is the 3 sisters farm oatmeal. I literally had a dream about this oatmeal the other day. $ 7 for oatmeal?! I know… I ordered it anyways and I am so glad I did. I also ordered the Chai latte which was also good. The décor is really nice and the service was great as well.

Yummy! I had a pretty delightful experience here the other night for dinner. I would describe the Little Goat as a diner with a modern twist and playful creations on diner food. Several dishes caught my eye such as the Bahn Mi Burger and the Fish Tostadas, but having to narrow it down to one I went for the Pork Belly Pancake sammich. Basically a large scallion pancake a slice of tender pork belly with hoisin sauce and topped with a bok choi salad. Rather than eat it like a sandwich /wrap, I went knife and fork on it down to the last bite. Super tasty! My only gripe was that only half the pancake was topped with that super tender and delicious pork belly :( I also got a chance to try a bite of the Not Chinese Broccoli and the Fried Chicken. The Not Chinese Broccoli reminded me of like a really mild szechuan vegetable dish, super light and delicious. The Fried Chicken also had some asian fusion going on as the breading did remind me of chicken tonkatsu. Super delicious as well! ‘Til next time, cheers!

This was a random pick of places while visiting Chicago. Unilocal sort FTW. We went for brunch, lots of good stuff to pick from. The service was good, friendly, quick. I ordered the Bullseye French Toast, Husband ordered the Apple pancakes and hash browns. This was enough food for 4! So filling, and a great start to a busy day of walking in the cold! The food was tasty! When we visit Chicago again, we will stop back in here, maybe try dinner out!

I really enjoyed this place! Great atmosphere, never has the wait like Girl & the Goat, and has a menu that is filled with straight comfort food. I had the biscuits and gravy and Bullseye french toast. The biscuits and gravy was exactly what I needed that Tuesday night at 11pm. My mama never made me biscuits and gravy as a kid, and now I’m pissed she didn’t. The only thing I would say is that the biscuits were slightly drier than expected. Now for the Bullseye french toast. The description is «eggs, crispy chicken, sweet onion brioche, bbq maple syrup». I couldn’t even imagine what that would taste like. It just doesn’t make sense. But, once I combined all those flavors in single bites I was enlightened. So strange, but soooooo good. And wait for that hidden egg IN the french toast. Next level. When I’ve had a long day or when I need to eat and let the worries of life fade away in dreams of Bullseye french toast or when I just feel like it, find me at Little Goat.

Everybody seems to eat breakfast here but we stopped for dinner. The beef stew had deep flavor and the meat was very tender. The Korean burger was also outstanding with kimchi, bacon and an egg. The menu had lots of items we’ll be back for. Thank goodness for valet parking in an impossible neighborhood to park.

Excellent service is the name of the game at Little Goat. Came in on a Sunday morning a little before 11. Although I wasn’t able to put in my name before the rest of the group arrived, I told the host that the rest of the group would be there around 11. I killed time at the connected coffee bar and watched the bakers make Little Goat’s bread. When my friends arrived, we were seated immediately, despite there being nearly a full house. This was phenomenal, and it started the brunch on a positive note. During the meal, our server was charming, funny, and attentive. Awesome service all around! The food was great — I had the Asian style breakfast tasty thing, and my friends had the Parthas Burrito and Chocolate chip pancakes. The Asian style breakfast tasty thing was tasty: savory, funky, and sour. I only wished there was more of it! Chicago has ruined me for normal portion sizes, apparently. My friend didn’t like all of the arugula on her Parthas burrito, but she enjoyed the rest of the dish. My friend who had the chocolate chip pancakes enjoyed her dish. All of us were pleased at how much thought went into building the flavors and textures of our dishes. I ended up buying a loaf of the miso brioche at the coffee bar. This was also amazing — it was like a loaf-sized croissant. Atmosphere is clean and classy, with a lot of natural light. I would take my parents here or a date here. Overall, the food was awesome, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere very nice. Can’t wait to go back again!

I just had breakfast here, but it was pretty amazing. Get the bullseye french toast, decadent egg in the basket french toast, covered with fried chicken bits, syrup, and strawberries. If you don’t like a runny yolk, I suppose this could gross you out, but otherwise this is a must-get item. Throw in a side of the hash browns because this isn’t your local diner’s hash browns… there’s cheese in them thar hash browns.

My first visit with two girlfriends. Lunch time and you will need to be prepared for a 20 to 30 minute wait. Went to bar, bartender a bit disinterested yet we finally got his attention although felt we were bothering him perhaps because we were just waiting for a table. He ended up warming up a bit and got us a table. I need to say once we sat, service was fantastic! I’m vegan and the waitress made a selection for me. At once the waitress found out my girlfriend was having a birthday she surprised us with a couple of their specialty cookies. Everyone enjoyed their meals and overall this is a fabulous place

How have I never written a review for Little Goat?! Love this diner, and it’s right around the corner from my house, so it’s become quite the staple. Little Goat isn’t your regular diner. It’s an trendy diner for foodies, menu prepared by Stephanie Izard. Everything here is creative, virtually no items are your standard«brunch» staples. Everything is elevated to the next level and really makes dining here fun. The atmosphere is laid back with leather booths around the perimeter and communal tables in the middle, with counter seating near their kitchen. Staff has been friendly and very knowledgeable across the board on menu items and recommendations. I highly recommend the bulls eye french toast, tomato and apple soup, grilled cheese and their chickpea salad. Everything is sweet and their milkshakes are a perfect way to end a decadent brunch or lunch!

I have heard a lot about Little Goat and its sister restaurant before I went to Chicago, so we wanted to try it out. We went in on Sunday for brunch and were immediately seated even though it was super crowded with large groups waiting outside. We ordered: KIMCHEE&BACON&EGGS&PANCAKESASIANSTYLEBREAKFASTTASTYTHING THISLITTLEPIGGYWENTTOCHINA We got served pretty quickly and the restaurant was really cute. The food was delicious with Asian fushion in the dishes. This little piggy went to China has szechuan pork sausage. And, if you haven’t had it before, it’s a very particular spice that changes how your taste buds will taste other foods. I really like it, but it can be a little surprising if you haven’t had it before. The breakfast tasty thing had these HUGE slices of bacon. I typically don’t care whether a dish has bacon(crazy, I know), but the bacon thick slices were super tasty. I would definitely come here again, but probably stick to a small group.

Little goat. little goat… are you the baby of Girl and the Goat or not??? Well, I wasn’t cool enough to get into Girl and the Goat, so second best was brunch at Little Goat. We arrived early as we’re old and wake up early. The wait was minimal at roughly 15 minutes for 5 people. First off, my cappuccino was good. Figuring that I’m such a «foodie», I went out on the limb and ordered the breakfast spaghetti and clams even though it sounded disgusting… because… I really don’t know what I was thinking? Verdict appears that it really wasn’t that appetizing, so my recommendation cannot be for this. On the other hand, my fiancé, the play it safe guy, got the shrimp and grits. Holy smokes! I’m not a true southern girl so I never understood the draw to grits(tastes like even shittier oatmeal), but these were flavored grits. The dish was bursting with flavor, so being the good girlfriend that I am, I pushed my dish aside and helped my fiancé finish his. If I could tastefully lick the plate, I would’ve, but it was my 29th birthday weekend, so I was trying to keep it classy. So, ultimately, my verdict is, eat this if you can, but please, don’t sit out for a ridiculous 2 hour wait if that’s what it comes down to. Hop along, plenty of better options down that same street.

We obviously couldn’t get enough of Chef Stephanie’s food, so much so that we went to the Little Goat for brunch the following day after having dinner at Girl and the Goat across the street the night before. Again, an establishment where there is always a wait but not as outrageous as its sister restaurant. The way to go around this if you don’t have a reservation would be to check out their bar to see if there are open spots. The entire menu is available for ordering there, and lucky for us, we were able to snag seats within 10 minutes. Not bad, yeah? We had a cup of GOATCHILI($ 6) which was hearty and scrumptious without that heavy feel. It wasn’t gamey at all, in fact, it’s the goat meat flavor that carried this one through. Their BISCUITS and GRAVY($ 6/sm) on the other hand was one big giant flaky and buttery biscuit smothered with gravy cooked with pork sausage and mushrooms. Drooling yet? I asked for more gravy on the side and the bartender gladly gave me a full cup. Don’t judge me, it was that good! For my main entrée, I got the BULL’S EYEFRENCHTOAST($ 16) topped with crispy chicken pieces and fresh strawberry slices, then drizzled with bbq maple syrup. It was a lovely plate but the magic happened when I cut open my sweet onion brioche — a glorious yellow yolk oozed out! Little did I know a beautifully cooked egg was going to surprise me in the middle of all that. So rad! I switched plates with my husband halfway through my meal to have some of his SHRIMP and GRITS($ 16). This Southern fare is always delightful to have but by throwing in some braised pistachios and using grumpy goat grits made Chef Stephanie’s twist on this extra brilliant. Service was top-notch across the board. We came back the next morning to grab coffee while waiting for a table at the nearby Au Cheval. With a slight setback on our order, I saw how well they were able to fix the issue with a positive attitude. This Top Chef winner won for a damn good reason and it shows in her restaurants.

Ummmm I barely need to write this because the consensus has consensed~ Little Goat is top notch brunching. Allow me to order for you: THISLITTLEPIGGYWENTTOCHINA — $ 13.00 sesame cheddar biscuit. sunny eggs. szechuan pork sausage. chili garlic chive sauce. gooseberries *Only Bongo Room can compete, but I think this is the best brunch item of mi vidaaaaaaaaa! My friend(who is a svelte 6’4″ and can eat for three) got a bowl of fries(fine, kind of shoe string style), a pulled pork bbq sandwich(YES. Not v brunchy in my book, but SOGOOD), and a Fat Elvis(too sweet for me to want a whole one, but great for mooching). *With Love from Peru cocktail was delightful. *Twenty minute wait(showed up Sunday around noon, so not bad!) and chilled in the bakery area with a coffee and a cookie. Very cute décor, kind of like a high-end Dove’s vibe, and classic foods that they made their own and elevated to perfection. It’s like the best version of your everyday favorites.

What more is there to add that hasn’t been mentioned in the other 2,000+ reviews? Patty Melt — They do a fine job. Patty was cooked just as ordered and the caramelized onions pushed the melt over the top. All American Burger — You’re getting what you asked for. A solid All American Burger. Smoked Pork and Toffee Milkshake — My friend lives and dies by this shake so I had to try it. It’s actually really good with a not too overbearing smoky pork flavor and mixed with a healthy amount of little bits of toffee to balance it out. Recommend spooning the milkshake as the toffee bits will clog the straw. Smoked fries — eh… I could pass on them. Thin cut fries that weren’t anything special. Excellent service, clean and lively environment, and not too loud.

Came here with a group of friends on a weekend. It can get busy! The food is worth the wait. Before I get to the food, I first have to mention the restaurant itself. It’s like an upscale diner. Not too pretentious though, it feels homey in here. We sat at a booth next to a window. Loved having the sun streaming in during a lunch time meal. I had the fish tacos. Crispy fried fish with a light slaw. The fish had a light crispy coating of fried goodness. No greasy feeling at all! I also went to the bar and bread section of the restaurant. I got one of their yummy cupcakes to go. This is a great place for lunch! And then for dinner go to Girl and the Goat right across the street. That just might make it a perfect day in Chicago!

Great service, very organized crew, super fast! I got a Sloppy Goat(just like a Sloppy Joe), and apple cream soup. Both were pretty decent. Although I found my Sloppy Goat a little salty, maybe that’s just the way they are? They have so many other breakfast items on the menu that I really wanted to try, definitely will visit Little Goat again next time.
