This restaurant has the classic Mexican menu and won’t go wrong with any items. But with that being said. it also does not stand out. If you are in the neighborhood and want good food then stop in but if you are looking to be a wise shopper then I would move over to San Juanito’s down the street on Kedzie.

Our go-to spot in the hood for tacos & flautas! So consistently good — never had a bad experience with the food as they are always on point. Rice is good, everything is always fresh because they are always busy, busy, busy! Sometimes service can be a bit slow, but food always makes up for it. And the tres leches cake?! OMG so yummy and it’s HUGE. We come here at least twice a month if not more!

The food is good and the prices are affordable. However, the service from the waitresses is horrible! They are very rude, unwelcoming, and very unprofessional. I use to go there quiet often because I work 3 minutes away but I no longer spend my money at the restaurant because the service has not improved since I first began going(3 years ago.)

What an excellent restaurant! You can’t beat the burritos and how much meat is inside! They were huge! My fajitas came out sizzling and tasted great. Now, the guacamole was impeccable! Creamy and chunky This is my new go to Mexican restaurant, and loved stopping in the supermarket after dinner.

I was introduced to Lindos(what the college kids call it) in the beginning of the school year by a few friends and I fell in love! You can either dine in or take out. If you dine in, they give you chips and salsa. I am in love with their verde salsa. I order here at least twice a week. Their food is so fresh and so good! I usually get their steak burrito but I have tried their other dishes and it’s just as good! I’m not sure why some people are complaining about their pricing. They have daily specials and their portions are huge! It’s also byob which is always a plus! I’m giving it 4 stars because their service is really slow if you dine in. If you want to get take out, I would call in advance so it’s ready when you come pick it up.

My colleagues ordered for pick up and decided to join us for lunch. My colleague explained the situation with her order at least was trying too. but our waitress Danet was very rude, no eye contact what so ever and her response was«this is not the first time you do this and I will ask». As we waited for her to come back to request another waitress she sends someone else. This is why I rate this restaurant a 1 The food is great, but the owner needs to know the type of customer service the employees are providing

First time customer. The food was good yes, but I was not expecting my car to be booted immediately after leaving it, without warrant. The owner was good about handling the situation, but I still don’t understand why a business would want to potentially drive away customers by hiring an outside company to patrol it’s lots. Anyone know the name of this lot company so I can send complaints where they’re due?

I used to come here a lot, and tip very well. These days if you come as a party of 1, even during the day, they will only seat you at the counter. Don’t want the counter seat L.M. You used to be my favorite place to recommend, now, not so much. Thanks, but no thanks. (Food is good but that’s not everything.)

Fresh delicious food and ingredients, sweet and attentive staff that gives you space, and most importantly affordable for a student on a budget who enjoys good authentic Mexican food.

Not unlike any number of services, restaurants must closely review their food costs and profit margins to keep the doors open. Unfortunately, Lindo Mich has taken this process to another level. Since my review in Feb 2015, they have both increased their prices and reduced the size of their portions! Yesterday, Fall was in the air. Nothing like a nice bowl of chicken soup(Caldo de Pollo) to take the chill off. For years, the bowl was full to the rim with delicious broth, and included a breast, leg & thigh and lots of veggies. Yesterday, the bowl was short at least 1 ½ Cups of broth short, and floating around lonely inside, was a drumstick, and the bottom half of a chix breast. The serving used to have a few potatoes in it along with carrots & chayote. Now its full of potatoes(instead of protein), Thats about 50% less food than usual, and the price is up almost $ 2. While the quality was there, I was still hungry when I left. I’m hoping that other regular customers have expressed their concern. I will check it out again very soon to see if some of my other favorite dishes have gone thru major portion control reduction. Bummer. BEWARE !!! Park only where you see signs«PARKINGFORLINDOMICHOACAN». The towing company will boot you in a hot minute if you park at the lot for the strip mall just North of the restaurant. Cost of $ 150 to get your car out of bondage!

I’ve been going to Lindo’s for two years. The last few times I have sat in the waitresses have been rude and take 15 minutes or longer to come and even take your drink order. Food is good but I will not be returning.

While the sister grocery store next door doesn’t impress me much, Lindo Michoacan Restaurant wins my repeated businesses. Well, it definitely has won many CPD men and women. I often see cops dining inside and doing their community outreach(maybe)? Anyhow, you can’t legally follow the police vehicles, but you can certainly track down where officers go for food, at least it’s what I do. It’s one of a few restaurants that has a pretty extensive seafood menu items, especially the soup. Hubby and I ordered the caldo de pescado(fish soup) and siete mares(seafood combination soup) for to-go. They also have the pineapple drink, under the jugos naturales category. Hubby had one, and I sampled. It was delicious, yet if you’ve had the pineapple lemonade from Dos Ricco’s(on S. Cicero by the Midway Airport), nothing else could measure up to that heavenly, refreshing, and soothing pineapple lemonade from the god of fusion(Dos Ricco’s emphasizes on Asian and Mexican fusion dishes… an amazing place)! Sorry for digressing, but I thought it was necessary to share this piece of information on the previous paragraph for just being a foodie. The soup we had was well-made, even though it entailed a longer wait at the restaurant. My caldo de pescado was filling, and the amount of fish was considerably generous. I know it’s a minute detail, but the tortilla that came with the soup was fluffy and thin enough to create a nice absorption when soaking up the soup. Hubby and I both agreed that we will go back for their soup, and perhaps other items on the menu. Lindo Michoacan restaurant is located one(1) block north from the CTA Kedzie Brown Line station, so it’s readily accessible without driving your own vehicle. Nevertheless, there’s limited parking available within the strip mall.

So a co-worker had suggested this restaurant and I met up with a friend here for lunch. We started with the chips, guacamole and salsa, which were very good. She ordered the tongue burrito and I went with the tongue simmered in red sauce with jalepenos, which was delightfully spicy. The meat was tender and delicious, and we finished off with coffee and I drank far too much of it. The food was amazing, the portions were huge(I got three meals ouf of my entrée) and the price was phenomenal. We agreed it was the best Mexican food we’d had in Chicago in quite a while. Also, the waitstaff didn’t try to rush us out the door, even though we lingered for quite a while sipping coffee and munching on the chips. I’ll be back and bring some friends so we can some burritos!

Fight your temptation to walk through the wrong door and head in through the parking lot. Being relatively new to the ‘hood, I think this is the best burrito in the immediate area. For about $ 5 – 6(depending on tax and extras) you get a good sized quality burrito. Everything is tasty, well put together and relatively prompt. Dining here was also a good experience. I was feeling like butt and it was cold so I got myself a bowl of seafood soup and it hit the spot. I virtually drank all the broth and the seafood was great(although it is authentic so does require some work). The staff was on top of extra limes and offering me extra chips and such. Probably the only gripe, and it may not even really be one, is that getting guacamole on a burrito seems to be a bit foreign. I called in such an order and instead got a burrito and a side of guacamole. The whole thing was still only about $ 10 and I had guacamole for days so I really can’t complain. But I definitely will be back.

Best burritos in town. Hands down. Salsa is just the right amount of hot and the chips are always made fresh to go.

Lindo Michoacan has THE best burritos in Chicago. I’ve been going here for burritos since I moved to the city in 2008. I’ve tried many other burritos in that time and still none compare to Lindo Michoacan. Their meat tastes fresher and like it’s better quality than most taquerias. I’m not sure I’m explaining this well but the meat is just better. They also use fresh cheese. Their pico de gallo is really good and also always fresh. I guess it is the overall freshness and quality of the ingredients that makes the burrito so good. I always get the pollo, carne asada or veggie burrito. They have a seriously good veggie burrito with some atypical ingredients. The pollo is my favorite, though. The chicken is just perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. The best part might be the price. Two people each have a burrito and chips with salsa and the bill is under ten bucks! This place is perfect for the frugal foodie. Honeslty, I can’t speak to the quality of the other menu items. I’m never able to order anything but burritos. However, when the servers walk by holding trays of enchiladas and pots of soup they always look delicious. Maybe I’ll try them one day…
