I went to Lincoln Tap Room after an attempt at Durkin’s where I couldn’t get a seat due to a slew of reserved signs. I had such a great time here! Good service and great prices! Steelers country was definitely represented! They don’t have a kitchen, but they’re perfectly OK with you ordering food and having it delivered. They have menus and everything! Will be back again and again!

Lincoln Tap Room is the best place to go in Chicago if you are a Steelers fan. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was in Pittsburgh just from the number of Steelers fans and the Steelers memorabilia on the walls. I became an instant fan of this place when my friend, a Steelers fan, invited me to watch the Steelers game with them. Lincoln Tap Room gives off a hole in a wall kind of vibe where everyone is welcoming and treats everyone like family. I’m not a Steelers fan but I found myself cheering when they scored along with the other fans and sing along to the corny remixed songs every so often. The thing I was not a fan of was the music because the bar remixed every song they could think of to involve the Steelers or Pittsburgh to some capacity. I love my Bears but I found myself slowly going crazy after the 20th remixed song. The bartenders always made sure our glasses were never empty and we were always entertained. After the Steelers game went off all the fans in the bar took a picture in front of bar and it really gave off a family vibe. I can’t wait to go back and experience the great vibe that Lincoln Tap Room gives off!

I am a bartender of 13 years. I know how to treat people, even those who come late. We came in 30 min til close for 1 drink and tipped well as we were all bartenders. We knew our time was limited and didn’t press our luck. As we were settling up, 10 minutes before last call we had drunken slurs from the bartender and owner to «get the fuck out!». By how drunk the staff was, I could tell it must have been a slow night. After being told by the almost incoherent sour pussed slurring mess of a bar hag to leave. The human ashtray owner made it a point to say he calls the shots, and to come earlier if we want to finish our drinks. The place sucks. The staff Is chronically annoyed scuz, and their attitudes prove it. For your entertainment dollar, you you will feel better spending your money finding someone to hit you with a rusty rake than spending it on shit warm beer with an attitude to match from hepatitis hosts like these Scat fans who chug urine then regurgitate it into you glass.

Stopped in for a drink before and after a comedy show @ the Athenaeum. Chill vibe. A couple older regulars at the bar. Fun mix of bartender personalities: the fun, loud, crazy lady, the quiet and sweet hipster kid, the heavy metal and tat’ed rocker. All had great character, just like this low key bar. Huge bonus. My husband and I were just about ready to head out the door when I spotted a can of Yuenling behind the bar. I had to do a double take and have my husband tell me if my eyes were playing a trick on me. No trick. Just the treat of east coast Yuenling that typically doesn’t make it out to our neck of the woods. They’ve also got a photobooth, darts, scattered flat screen tvs, and a small arcade like game in the corner. They accept credit cards but their machine was acting up when we were ready to close our tab. Luckily there’s an ATM in the bar and a Chase bank right across the street. The bartender felt so bad about the credit card machine that she offered us free shots too. How sweet! Love this place.

I am all about the karaōke! This is a great place to be on Tuesday nights! Great sound system, big screen TV and stage, they even have a camera pointed at the stage so they can put you up onto other TV’s in the bar! There is an awesome selection of songs and the KJ really keeps it moving.

I love Lincoln Tap. It’s my go to, granted I live almost right across the street. I’ve gotten to at least somewhat know all or most of the staff, and they’re all great. Holly remembered my name on my second visit with her! They usually have good music going, and even have a band sometimes. It never seems that crowded. Drink prices are pretty reasonable, standard. It’s just got a good, chill vibe to it. I describe it as a great cross of dive/neighborhood bar. I was never sure if I liked it so much, because it’s so close to home. However, anyone I introduce to Lincoln Tap likes it as much as I do!

Decent place, pretty casual vibe. Was there for a friend’s birthday, and the waitress we had was very attentive and very good(realized the bartender had made a wrong drink for someone, realized it before the person even took a sip and took it back for a new one). The wristband deal was a good one, too. I’ll agree with others that the music was a bit loud. It was hard to talk in a group. One of the bartenders gave me a bit of grief when I first got there about using a credit card to pay for my wristband(there was no singage about cash-only). I thought that was a bit out of line, but not terrible.

This Joint is a great Hideout! Inside, it’s dark as hell and plenty of shady characters lurking in the shadows. Great Beer List including IRONCITY! It’s a Pittsburgh Steelers bar to boot. Def worth checking out as some scenes from«The Color of Muney» were filmed here! Get dat did

This place puts out an unpretentious vibe and the patrons are a pretty normal crowd. They have a solid draft list(e.g. Ommegang Witte, Left Hand Milk Stout, Goose Island Green Line) and good specials, such as $ 4 Bell’s drafts on Saturday. They were also pushing Two Brothers The More the Merrier(a holiday ale with chocolate and coconut) for two bucks; this seems like an attempt to get rid of an underperforming beer past its prime. Then again, two dollars is pretty cheap for a pint of craft beer any way you slice it. I came for a semi-private party; our group had reserved the back area, which started at the stage and extended to the rear wall. We had a dedicated server who was very attentive. Thumbs up on the arrangements. Based on signage, it seems that this joint hosts burlesque shows and Pittsburgh Steelers games on the regular. They have pool and darts and more seating than the average bar of the same size. There are a few TVs but not an obnoxious profusion like most places. I honestly can’t think of any complaints, except that it was a little hot inside and that the men’s room door did not close. It’s a pretty good spot for those times when all you want to do is drink and hang out. Which is all of the time, isn’t it?

I had come here a couple months back for a friends birthday. She had a wrist band deal from 10 – 230 dollars all well drinks and bud light and miller light bottles and I believe wine was included but I didn’t get wine so I’m not sure. The bar itself is a decent bar, music, pool tables, and enough space so it isn’t super packed. The one thing I thought was cool was the bathrooms have cup holders for your drinks! Ha! Also my boyfriend and I didn’t have a problem with parking, there was enough room on the street to park right there. My reason for writing the review is for the bartender his name is Tim. He was very nice and got my drink ready as soon as I was at the bar(I kept ordering the same gin and tonic haha so he knew what I wanted) but he was a very patient bartender considering all of the people with wristbands and non wristbands ordering drinks. I would definitely come back to hang out and maybe play some pool this time.

This is a joint. A JOINT. And that’s what makes it great. Dark, dim and slightly shabby. Been here forever. Cheap booze and lots of it. If I was here before, I don’t remember it. Popped in here last weekend for aperitivo time, and had AWESOMEBARTENDER, Holly mix us up a couple of fantastic martinis. This woman is a pro. A PRO. Perfectly made, icy cold and dry. Great joint. Pop in for a couple of pops.

My wife and I came in here on a Sunday evening after we had been on our own bar crawl for the day. We have been wanting to check this place out for a long time, so we were excited to finally make it happen. We were not impressed with the service we got. The guy was very short with us and seemed extremely annoyed by us being there. Another couple walked in and got the same service. We didn’t really like the vibe of the place on an early Sunday evening. I can tell this place is better later at night and on a Friday or Saturday. We finished our drinks as fast as we could and bounced. Pretty doubtful that we’ll be back, unfortunately.

Can’t believe I’ve never been here… especially since I used to live around these parts. It’s a totally low key, unpretentious n’hood bar(although it’s quite large). The bartenders and waitress were great — friendly, chatty, and helpful. The bar is really big and has lots of seating. Plus, pool, darts, jukebox, and loads of places to linger. We even ordered a pizza right to the bar to snack on while we drank and played pool! Beer selection is good, and they had a number of specials. TVs galore if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s reminds me of a New Orleans dive bar. I’ll be back!

Went here on a Saturday night with a couple of friends. We walked in and the bartender straight off insulted me which wasn’t a great start. I then asked if one of the beers was a nitro to which I got the reply«I don’t know». It got a lot worse as the bar staff seemed very standoff-ish and rude, not just to me but also to my friends at different times of the night. From reading other reviews I see it seems to be hit and miss with the bartenders. The rest of the bar is great though, good atmosphere, great beers, pool and darts. The beer selection was also really good and they had some good specials during the week. If it wasn’t for the awful service I would be here a lot more.

I am definitely not a bar person. I cannot stand going to a place for a drink with friends and have to scream at each other over blaringly loud music and struggle to hear them when they talk back. Watching drunk idiots making fools of themselves in public is also not high on my list of things to do on a Friday night. While Lincoln Tap does blast their music I give them a pass because the staff is made up of some of the nicest and down-to-Earth individuals I have ever met. They are always hosting shows on their main stage in the back(the Original Tease burlesque show has to be seen to be believed) and they serve a delicious drink called Angry Balls, which is Angry Orchard cider and Fireball cinnamon whiskey. Effen awesome. The space is cozy and comfortable and the décor is a fun combination of a dive biker bar and an upscale joint. I love this place and it is the only bar in the city I will go out of my way to patronize.

Hello divey mcdiverson! I have a soft spot for a good dive bar. Lincoln Tap Room is a good size space — long bar, stage, pool tables, and some different seating areas. I went to see a burlesque show and I think this particular troop is there on the regular. If so, you should go see — Cirque de la Femme — they will freak your freak. More performing artist than burlesque, but worth the trip. The bartenders are super friendly and chatty(in the good way). They gave my date samples of different beers while she was deciding what to order. And were clearly passionate about what they do — I dig passion. Great dive bar, great neighborhood hangout, fun bartenders, great space, great performers. I dig you divey mcdiverson.

Cousin invited me for a Burlesque show on a Friday night. Here’s how I feel about this place. Pros: –Entertaining show –girls were very comfortable and put on great routines. Costumers were mostly hand made and the ladies«werked» them quite well. –Cheap *cheap* domestic beers. As others have stated, they have pretty good beer specials every day of the week. –Very chill atmosphere and mixed crowd. Cons: –Mixed drinks are watered down. My cousin ordered a Sex On the Beach first and it was mostly juice. Someone else ordered a Long Island and they used the pre-made mix which is definitely a no-no for me. –Bartenders were very much punk-rock. Girls had tattoo sleeves, teased hair dark makeup –which is fine, but not my style. Also, one male bartender in particular who seemed to be in charge was not very attentive and had a weird, dry sense of humor. –Place has an old feel to it. Vinyl booths, mix-match chairs scattered throughout, pool table space towards the back. This place seems to have been around for a while and could use some sprucing up. but maybe that’s a part of my appeal. Would I go back? Probably not. However, I did enjoy the Burlesque dancers and it was nice to have a change of scenery from Lincoln Park or Boystown on a Friday night.

2 years after i wrote my original review, the following owner comment was posted: «Of course we weren’t open at 12:30 if the Steelers game was at 3:15. We are a Steelers bar, not ‘another game’ bar. lol.» Seriously? You must be a fucking idiot if you think Steelers fans and their friends aren’t interested in watching the other games. Have fun shooting your business in the foot, and i’ll continue to take my money to other, better bars. lol.
