Lincoln Park Obstetrics & Gynecology

This has been the weirdest doctor’s office that I have ever been. I took my mom to this office because she needed some forms completed for some immigration papers. I found this place through the government’s immigration website and decided to go there because it was close to my house. What a mistake… The place is supposed to be an OBGYN office, however is also a SPA where they offer massages and body rubs. I have to say I was a little uneasy by the whole thing since I made the appointment due to the flakiness of the secretary when I called to make the appointment. Because I didn’t want to search for another doctor or make another appointment for my mom I decided to go in and talk to Dr. Iqbal. Going inside the place was even weirder than what I thought (I thought I was walking into a very questionable cheap SPA) I asked Dr. Iqbal about the medical exam he had to perform on my mom and about some vaccines she needed for the immigration process (I’m also in the medical field so I want to make sure what my mom was going to get was the right thing) but he said he didn’t have all the vaccines available today and that she could get those later (even though I called 2 weeks in advance to make the appointment). After my conversation with Dr. Iqbal, I told him we were leaving because I wasn’t comfortable with the place or him. He did say it was ok and that they only deal with Lincoln Park millionaires (lol this couldn’t be funnier) I can’t imagine someone really going to that place (specially LP millionaires LOL) Maybe Dr. Iqbal thought I was coming from some poor neighborhood just because I needed some immigration forms for my mom, but he didn’t know I also live in Lincoln Park and only 3 blocks from his «medical office». Well at the end, I would not recommend this place. This may be a good SPA (as they claim) but the medical part of it is a little questionable.

Here is the review I posted on google… Do not go to this physician!!! After attempting to today, I am sure most of these reviews are fake. I delivered my daughter on Jan. 23^rd. I had a rough delivery and a long healing process, despite my doc saying everything was ok, I just wanted a second opinion. I googled OB-​GYN and this practice came up, had great reviews so I made an appointment. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! I have been on my husband’s insurance for the past year. We never had issues with our insurance paying for any of my prenatal, delivery or our daughter’s care, so were we offended when Dr. Iqbal demanded to know what my, «preexisting condition» was before he saw me. He questioned us over and over asking if the hospital bill for the delivery was paid by the insurance. We decided it would be best if we left. I just wanted to ask him some questions about postpartum care. I am now glad he practically encouraged us to leave. And Dr. Iqbal if you read this and I know your practice receives a copy of these reviews I will be reporting you to the AMA immediately.
