Le Salon is such a hidden gem in Edgewater/​Andersonville. Lori is the facialist and she is extraordinary; my daughter loves Claudia who is the stylist; and Yolanda does the best mani/​pedi I’ve ever had. I regularly have facials here as my skin is oily but now that I’m in my 50s is also very dry in some places. Lori has an incredible machine which sucks all of the debris and dead skin and I leave there with my skin immediately looking great — no redness or shininess to get over. For a few days, I don’t even have to wear makeup! I regularly take my teenagers who suffer from acne and she does a dream job with them and the cost is incredibly reasonable. The first time my son went she even opened early so he wouldn’t be embarrassed. I am thinking of changing hairdressers and trying Claudia but I’ve been with the same person for 30 years so it’s hard pulling that trigger. The salon is the cleanest I’ve ever seen anywhere. It just has a very nice and calm vibe and the people are super friendly and relaxed. I can’t recommend it enough! I really can’t understand anyone who didn’t like it — I’ve been going for years and have never had anything but a truly great experience.

Nice lady did facial. 50 dollar which is 70 so I guess It was an ok deal. But Unilocal gave this 20 off facial deal if check in but long story short They don’t honor or take it so it was disappointing

I started going to Le Salon Day Spa in May ’13 and have not been disappointed. Claudia is my hair dresser and she does a great haircut! I would recommend this little shop on the strength of Claudia’s skill alone. Try it! She also accommodates walk-​ins or short notice requests for appointments.

Today I had a facial, body massage and hair shampoo/​style at Le Salon. From the moment I walked in, I was treated by the pleasant staff and owner Lori who was very professional and nice. First, I had my massage and it was great! Jim did a great job with the massage techniques he used. I felt that all the tension I had in my back was gone when the massage was done. Then it was time for the facial. This was one of the BEST facials I had in a long time. My skin was glowing when the facial was done. The product used smelled really good and my face felt clean and soft. Then I moved on to shampoo and style which was awesome… I had my friends compliment me on my hair the whole day! Le Salon is very clean and I felt very comfortable being there. I bought gift certificate for my mom and I cannot wait to go back again. I highly recommend Le Salon. Ask for Lori and monthly specials they have, prices are great and service is wonderful!

Lori does my microdermabrasion. She does an excellent job. And she takes her time. I have had a mani/​pedi here. It is okay. But reasonable for the price. I usually visit once a month. Price is reasonable as well.

My first visit to Le Salon and spa was wonderful. It was several years ago, and I decided to have a back facial. I had a wonderful experience, and the cost of the service was very reasonable. What impressed me so, was the salon was very clean and I felt very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I have gone there several times for shampoo and blow drive services, including a hair cut, and have not been disappointed. Claudia always takes such good care of my hair, and she is the best stylist I’ve had in Chicago. I would recommend both her and this wonderful place. A full days beauty at Le Salon and spa is a treat. Why spend the extra money downtown or on Michigan avenue, if you don’t have to, and receive the same services? The owner, Lori, is always so nice.

Go biweekly for eyebrows and just started getting microdermabrasion treatments; both done by Lori. Always very detailed and very helpful. Seems to genuinely care.

I went to Le Salon for facial 3 times. This place was conveniently located on my way. Every time it was just an okay experience. There wasn’t anything special about facial or service. At the same time esthetician did her job. I don’t think that I will come back more.

I am a regular at the nail place by my house and this spot is a short bus trip away. When I saw a daily deal, I decided to give it a shot. They do excellent work here. probably one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had! My feet still look and feel amazing and I’m already almost 2 weeks in. The manicure was also very good.
If this place was a bit closer to me, I’d be a regular for sure.

Never again, I went to Le Salon once for a facial. It was okay… just okay. But the aesthetician was the only staff member working, which made me a little uncomfortable. She was rough and very rude, but I dismissed it as (perhaps) cultural differences. So I needed a facial again and stupid me calls them. They promise a coupon special of $ 40 for a one hour facial. Okay, so I will give them a second chance. I tell her I also need a mani/​pedi and she says «no problem» and schedules my appointment. When I arrive to the appointment the salon is very busy and very loud… not a problem, but the massage/​facial rooms are RIGHT THERE in the middle of the chaos… not relaxing at all. Then she tells me they are too busy for my mani/pedi…after I had just made appointment for all three services!!! I cancelled my facial and left! Never again!

I got my hair cut exactly how I wanted it, beautiful highlights and then the BEST 60min deep tissue massage. I loved it! I can’t wait to go back for other stuff!

I redeemed a LivingSocial voucher here over the weekend — half price for an hour-​long facial. The biggest complaint I have is that I feel ripped off. I paid for a voucher that promised an hour-​long facial, but instead was given a 30 minute facial. In other words, I wound up paying full price for a half-​facial. I was very disappointed. And, of course, what can you do about it – by the time I realize it’s only been 30 minutes, my clothes were already back on, I was at the front desk settling up, and I took a glance at my watch to see about getting to my next appointment on time.
The aesthetician had good technique while working with my face. She really did — nice movements that were both gentle and confident. But her extraction was incomplete; when I got to a mirror, I noticed that there was still much work to be done.
Also, the overall price is a bit high, given the neighborhood, the location, and the quality of the space itself. This is not a «relaxing» day spa. You will spend the entire time hearing the blow dryers of the hair stations, right outside the door. You can also hear the in-​store radio and all the chatter.
Again, I could have overlooked all of that if they hadn’t deprived me of half of the service I had requested. I am very disappointed that they participated in this LivingSocial offer, presumably to drum up business, and then only offered half of what they promised.

If you’re a guy who deals with his eyebrow situation regularly (and really, you should be), ask for Yolanda @ Le Salon Day Spa. She’s amazing with mens’ brows, never adding an odd arch, always tidying up where it needs to be, and leaving you cleaned up and natural. She’s also given me a pedicure and it was wonderful.
Overall, the whole staff at Le Salon is wonderful and the whole place is clean clean CLEAN. And the fact that they’ll take a walk-​in is always convenient. Love this place!

Because of the good reviews I saw on Unilocal,I decided to get a manicure here.
Sadly, it was the worst manicure I’ve ever had. The cuticles look fine, but the polish is streaky, splotchy, incomplete on some nails, and all over my cuticles. Trying to avoid all of those things is why I get manicures. :-/​
Their other services sound great, but I won’t do a manicure here again.

Hate to ruin all the 5 star ratings, but I went here for a massage as well as a pedicure/​manicure. The massage was just fine, a little bit on the rougher side, but I did ask for a deep tissue massage, so I was pleased with it and felt like she got a lot of the knots out.
However, my nails were a different story. I did not feel very welcomed by the nail technician, as she made me feel like I was delaying the start of her weekend. I was the last customer for the evening and for some reason the appointment went past closing time. She kept looking outside and seemed to rush a bit as she was cutting my cuticles. Now I have 2 infected cuticles because she cut too deep. She also overestimated how much nail polish she had left of the color I wanted and I had to pick a new color I didn’t really want for my fingernails. I was going to a wedding the next day and was trying to match everything up for a particular dress I’d been planning on wearing.
I never splurge on things like this so I was disappointed. And this was my first manicure ever :(In Le Salon’s defense, the nails looked professional and she did do a nice job on them, except for the cuticles. But I will still probably go back to doing my own fingernails.
Maybe this was just a random occurence in Le Salon, but I probably will not be returning.

I had a great experience with Elena, the massage therapist. She’s a very pleasant, sweet person and makes sure we feel comfortable. She knows what’s she is doing and does it well. Totally recommend her services!

I’ve had my hair cut and colored by Bill for more than 2 years. He makes my brown hair look naturally blonde; no brassy overtones or breakage. I can’t think of a better complement than that. He’s the best! And now he’s at Le Salon which just adds more fun to the visit. The staff has been welcoming and I find them all to be talented. Try Le Salon, you won’t regret it.

I have had my hair done by Bill for three years and have never been anything but happy with him. His recent movement to this Edgewater salon is only a benefit, the prices are extremely reasonable and the staff are professional and helpful. I highly recommend Bill for your color, he is the expert.
