I contacted The Law Office of Russell Knight to represent me in my divorce case. I was unsure of the process, had many questions, and felt overwhelmed. After sitting down with Mr. Knight and his staff, my questions were answered and I felt more at ease with the process ahead. Mr. Knight’s legal fees were more than fair and his billing was respectable. He was available and attentive for questions throughout the process and I believe it is because of Mr. Knight that my divorce was executed in the smoothest manner possible. Thank you Russell for your legal counsel and professionalism. You give attorneys a great reputation. I would recommend Russell D. Knight to my friends and family.

Mr. Knight represented me for my prenup and subsequent divorce case. The prenup was smooth sailing. The divorce was a complete pain, though my ex was essentially unresponsive. We went to court five times, and Mr. Knight described the events as Kafkaesque! He carefully counseled me about what was happening, why (although sometimes family court is a mystery), and next steps. He foresaw a major potential pitfall, which we were able avoid, thanks to his knowledge.
Mr. Knight was even able to gracefully navigate my ex barging into his office and acting completely crazy. His fee and this review honestly aren’t enough to compensate him for all the trouble… I should probably wash his car or bake the poor man some muffins or something.

Although my case was an easy one, Russell was attentive, guided me using plain language I could understand and guided me through my divorce smoothly and assertively. His bilingual skills, although limited, proved to be good enough to explain my ex-​wife, who does not speak English, fairly her options (It was an amicable divorce). His support staff was available and ready to answer my questions. I am satisfied with his services and would work with him again, hopefully not on another divorce!

I am not really sure how I found Russell but I found him back in 2008 – 2009 I have since used him twice. He was fighting a dui case for my husband. I also recently used him for a chapter 7 bankruptcy. I feel like his services have been great for both cases and he goes above and beyond what most other lawyers would do. His prices are very reasonable and he has helped me on several occasions when I have had questions on different possible case. I missed something’s in my bankruptcy and was so worried I would still be responsible for them and one phone call back to Russell and he took care of it. He always answers my call or gets back with me usually the same day, he is not hard to get a hold of like most lawyers. If and when I have questions I am always able to talk to him directly. I would definitely recommend him, and in the event I needed a lawyer in the future Russell would be my first call. Thanks again Russell for everything. Also Emily helped with my bankruptcy case and she was so friendly and helpful. When I say I had 12 378,000000 questions I mean I had 12 378,000000 questions lol and she was able to answer all of them or at least get back to me with an answer not once was she annoyed even when I probably asked the same question 5 different ways.

Do not seek legal services from this man! He is in the business of lying, and cheating his clients out of their money, then conveniently withdrawing from the case! He will start using intimidation tactics to scare you, then when you try and state your case or try to question something, he will falsely claim there are communication problems, and conveniently withdraw from the case, so that way you are left with no money and the opponent will have an upper hand against you, and they will win their case! Please if you are reading this, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to this guy! There are thousands of lawyers in the Chicago land area; seek legal help elsewhere! I have already taken the steps to report this person!

I was going through a rough patch in my life and needed legal assistance. I read the reviews on Unilocal and gave a call. I am glad I did becuase the help I received was a huge relief in getting things in order. Russell and his group are very competent and definitely receive my recommendation.

After I left previous review Mr Knight talked to me and apologized and promised he would fix the dates on the divorce. On top of it he gave me a discount and assured me that this is not his typical way of handling business but he was short staffed. I am glad he tried to straighten things out.

There is an old adage that the only lawyer you like is your own, and while this might be true, I still feel compelled to highly recommend Russell Knight for the excellent service he provided.
Russell helped expedite the long and sometimes complicated process of legal residency. He is personable but professional and was quick to get back to me with any queries or concerns I had. He also has a fantastic assistant– Rita who ensured all my paperwork was in order and had any important documents copied and delivered to me by both traditional mail and email.
He provided an indispensable service at a very reasonable price and I highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about legal residency/​citizenship.

Russell is quick, friendly, helpful, knows the law and, most important of all, gets the job done. He also works with you so that his already affordable fees are manageable.
If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you know I tend toward sincere-​but-​silly. However, there’s just nothing funny to add here. The guy’s straightforward, honest and fair.
