Monday night $ 4.50 margaritas are pretty good. I also really like the chips and salsa which are homemade and super fresh. The service is always really fast and friendly. For the most part the food is just okay. The shredded chicken tacos are pretty tasty too.

Tried this place when they first opened and the food was pretty good, but the service was horrible. So today I was going to try again and I checked out there website. I picked out a couple things and called to place the order. First off the girl that answered the phone started out nice and quickly became very rude. After completing the order she gave me a price and it was about 6 bucks higher that is posted on the website. Her reason was the price was higher because of the increase in minimum wage. I asked if she was going to honor the price as listed on their website and she said«No, It is not my problem if the website is wrong.» I guess she is correct about that, I don’t really know, but it is how she said it. Needless to say I told her politely that I changed my mind and she most likely lost a customer for life. Her response was, «Ok, No Problem» If you want good Mexican food from people who really care about you and the food go to La Fiesta Azteca down the street by 127th and Kedzie.

It is sad to write a bad review about this place, I love it here. Usually, everything is great, and the food and experience is wonderful. But, when you are told that your burrito is going to come with rice and beans on the side, you expect to get them. My friends received their sides, but no sides for me. I asked about them, but nothing came, The server was slow tonight, so I wonder if she forgot about the sides, even after I asked. I think next time, I will just go with margaritas and chips. I don’t want to pay for things I am not going to be getting. I know it sounds like I am whining, but I want the food I order and pay for.

We live in Florida but my husband is from Chicago and we visit family every year. La Fiesta is one resturant we always visit. Arrived today and first meal was lunch at La Fiesta. Ordered fish tacos. Talipia was perfectly seasoned and topped with fresh tomato & cilantro. I love fish tacos and these did not disappoint. Absolutely awesome!!! We will be going back this week with the family. The service is great and the resturant is nicely decorated and includes outside seating. Highly recommend this local establishment.

I came here with a large group to celebrate my friend’s rehearsal dinner. Obviously they knew ahead of time and we had a catered dinner. We bride and groom to be are obsessed with this restaurant but I had never been here before. They served chicken and cheese enchiladas and beef fajitas along with rice and beans. I really enjoyed the enchiladas but wasn’t impressed with the fajitas. We sat out in the patio area which was nice at first. After it started to rain they closed everything up and it got really, really warm. I was a little frustrated with out wait staff. One side of the table kept getting refills of margaritas and chips but they kept forgetting about us. I think I would give this place another try just for those chicken enchiladas!

This place has grown on me. Although much of the food does not have the punch you’d expect from authentic Mexican food, the menu has some real gems. The chicken tacos and chips are fresh and light but substantial. The chicken quesadilla is consistently tasty. I’ve found their more complex dishes(eg mole) and even taco salad to be disappointing. Service is usually very good… friendly and attentive, but not annoying. The patio is a lovely addition.

The outside Patio is very nice, The drinks are ok… But the food is horrible. There were four of us and not one person in our party enjoyed the food. The steak was dry & tasteless… they actually charged us for chips & salsa. If you are looking for good mexican food this is not the place!!! Very disappointed.

Anyone saying the food has no flavor has not tried their taco sombreros! If you like steak, bacon, and jalapeños then they are a must try! They are my favorite steak tacos in the area. All the other food I have had is just decent, nothing special.

1. This is a very large restaurant with an outdoor patio, plenty of window seating, a bar, and a patio thats enclosed during winter. 2. The Margaritas are not really that strong, and such flavors like grape is merely kool-aid with a lot of sugar, thus the super sweet syrupy bottom, and tequila. 3. The ceviche is very chunky with avocado and shrimp, which is good. But unlike traditional ceviche it was very dry. No notable tomato sauce and/or lime juice at all. 4. The staff here is very friendly 5. The atmosphere here is perfect for a date night and for bringing the kids. 6. The meat used in the food is definately not the best quality. Kinda reminds you of like a cheap Chicago Public School lunch meat paste they use to serve in the 90’s 7. The food taste very bland. 8. The first basket of chips and salsa is free. An additional basket of chips is $ 1 while more salsa is 75 cents 9. The only condiments on the table are salt, pepper, and ketchup. YES, you read that correctly, KETCHUP That is all. Based on food alone 2 star punch.

I remember a time when this was THEE go-to spot for my Mexican fare fix. What a cluck! Since the area is largely Irish pubs and Italian joints, La Fiesta enjoys little competition… and that’s a good thing since I doubt they’d hack it otherwise. The menu has great dishes. prepared with mediocrity… and at times, little care at all. Therein lies their biggest issue. I thought I’d give them another try a few weeks back, but went with take-out since service was so slow last visit. Chips were not included with my pricy *double* order of Pico de Gallo, but no one bothered to tell me. I got home in the snow only to discover this for myself Oh, for f*cks sake! My rice was dry. my beans, watery. The meat on my Tacos Nortenos seemed suspiciously old. It even smelled rancid. I ended up tossing my dinner… bypassing feeding it to my pit, who digs in the garbage and chomps down Chuck Taylors. :/ If you like chunky, poorly mixed Margaritas, slow service, and Russian Roulette, you’ll love it here! The consistency and quality just isn’t there these days which is truly a shame because we could really use more great restaurants in this area of Chicago. *sad trombone*

This is quite possible the worst food I have ever had. I cannot say the worst food that I have ever tasted because it had none. I had the steak enchiladas suiza. This is not mexican food. It is tasted like microwaved meat. My husband had the steak fajitas and he claimed they were just as awful. I also requested hot sauce and I said hot sauce 5 times and the girl still said suiza sauce. I said, «no, I am requesting hot sauce.» She gave me a cup of ketchup that had no sort of spice at all. Just to confirm, I gave them a star by accident. I accidentally hit it upon opening the app and hitting write a review. It wouldn’t let me take it back.

It’s great but bland, you know what your getting. It’s one of only outdoor eating venues on the south side of Chicago. Good drinks

I usually enjoy this restaurant very much: My sister and I decided to visit for cinco de mayo. We ate a good meal and left. Then this ignorant couple decided because they thought we were illegally parked in a handicap spot that they should take a picture. So I got out my my car went back in the patio and politely asked what they were doing. The ignorant man preceded to try to tell me it was illegal for me to drive because I’m not handicapped. Little did they know that we had a valid placard issued by a dr. I’m am not a person to be loud or rude in public but I can’t stand ignorance period. PSA to all the ignorant patrons who were in the restaurant today there are people walking around with an illness that you can not see, it doesn’t mean they aren’ in pain and it isn’t any if your business to judge or be the morality police.

Best mexican restaurant in the area. The staff is fast, friendly, and it won’t kill your wallet for lunch. I got the taco plate were very big, and my wife got the chicken fajita salsd which looked, and she said was awesome. Our bill was $ 17 with beverages, and the food. My wife said the bathroom was the cleanest she hss seen, and with the bladder the size of a pea she has seen a lot. Bottom line… I will be back.

Um, Yum! We had a birthday lunch for one of the Aunties. Friendly server(but a little overwhelmed with our group) … we had about 20 people and she was the ONLY one taking care of us. Can’t say she did a horrible job but they could’ve had someone helping her out. Anyway. complimentary chips and salsa on the table were a plus. The chips were a little greasy but the salsa was very flavorful and I couldn’t stop stuffing my face. The lunch specials are a steal & the food is pretty tasty. It was my first visit & I am willing to give it another taste :)

Popular mexican place in Mt Greenwood, I doubt it’s very authentic, but it still tastes good to me, I’ve had the burrito, taco bowl and the tacos, I was satisfied every time, it’s nice to sit outside in the summer too

I love this place soo much! It’s a great place 2 relax and watch a good game. Their chips honestly are amazing! They’re so salty and oily and light… Yyuuumm! They’re ssoo good! It’s a really big place and very pretty. Their daqureis are also really good. They have really good food and their margaritas are pretty good too(my dad’s opinion… I’m only ten!) This place is really good!!!

Where do I start? With the good, ok. I’m a nice guy so I’ll do it. The food is really good. They know how to cook. The atmosphere is also nice, and its clean in there. The bad now, here it comes. I went there for lunch, and the waiter took forever to even look at me let alone serve me. And I was the only one in there(besides my girlfriend). He was too busy watching the soccer game with the other waiter and bus boy. Then he finally came, I ordered a queso fundito and some drinks. He came to our table only 2 times. To take our order, and to give us the food. Didn’t check up on us once! So they only gave us 4 tortillas and I HADTOGOUPTOHIMWHILEHEWASWATCHINGTV and asked for more, and they wanted to charge us! And the price they said was more expensive than an entire pack at the store! Pshh!!! So I was done eating, and I HADTOGOUPTOHIMAGAIN to get the check!!! I’m not going back until they learn how to be good servers there. It’s by the post office if anyone wants to give it a try.

This is really more of a 3.5 star place, but I’m feeling generous today. I’ve been here several times and I’ve always left happy. This place is not authentic. It’s a neighborhood restaurant with nice strong margaritas. This is not a place to travel to. I go because I live in the area and enjoy getting tipsy on tequila. I think if you keep that in mind it’s a 4 star experience. I stick with basics– The taco norteno being my favorite. It’s breaded steak in a flour tortilla topped with fresh avocado slices and sour cream. The flan is some of the best I’ve had! Be vsure to order that as well. My only gripe about my last time here was I felt rushed. Our server was really nice until the end I really felt like we were being pushed out. I’m sorry, but when I spend $ 81 on basic Mexican food I feel I’m entitled to sit for 65 minutes. I don’t like rushing!
