Very large portions! Tried their new wings on the new menu… phenomenal! Very fresh, crunchy, and wonderful taste to the new sauce. The beef teriyaki is amazing. It comes with great tasting fried rice and 3 dumplings. For that idiot reviewer who said the good reviews were paid for is smoking crack. The fried rice is no where near greasy! For all the deliver complaints… perhaps you hipsters need to realize that maybe it’s not entirely the restaurants fault. There are multiple delivery service companies out there that make delivery for multiple restaurants at the same time. Perhaps it’s the drivers fault and not the restaurants. I’m saying this because I witnessed this first hand at this establishment and others where it’s the drivers fault and not the restaurant. I have tried numerous items from this menu and haven’t been dissatisfied once! The two owners I’m assuming provide excellent service and food. I’m writing this review because I don’t want these idiot hipsters ruining a good establishment and addition to the community. This place is definitely worth a try and repeat business!

I’ve tried a few items from their menu, which includes: Korean wings(new item, as of this date) Bibimbap Crunchy Salmon roll Kimchee Bulgogi roll As a person who grew up in Japan, I find their rolls to be impressive for the price point. They are very accommodating to modify them should you have allergies, intolerance or want to make them more spicy. The bibimbap was delicious! It has a good array of toppings and the gochujang(chili paste sauce) has a nutty flavor to it. What I really enjoyed was the Korean wings dish. The sauce is on the sweet side, but not overwhelming, due to addition of sesame seeds and green onions. It was crunchy, juicy and overall delicious. Overall, I like coming to this place. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. For the price range, it’s worth checking out – I haven’t tried anything there I haven’t liked. This restaurant is a good addition to this part of Albany Park.

Great place, giving 5 stars because alot of people dont understand that giving a one star can kill a new business. This is a non mediterranean place on Kedzie, lets give it a chance folks. Dont knock em if they have some delivery issues.

Ordered online. Waited an hour before getting a confirmation telling me it’d be another 45 minutes despite their website saying that it would take 30 – 45 minutes at MOST. At this time of writing, it’s been 130 minutes of waiting and I still don’t have my food. I can’t vouch for taste since I have no idea what it tastes like, and at this rate I probably will never find out.

I went to Kokodak for the first time today. I order chicken teriyaki to go. I just so happened to be sitting in traffic when i spotted this little korean restaurant. What drew my attention at first was the largely printed name out front and the large sign which stated that the restaurant served bbq and teriyaki… i was sold! Lol i pulled over looked their menu up and ordered. The service was great, friendly staff, good food, and a nice portions.

We stopped by for dinner the other night. The service was super friendly, fast, and efficient. The prices are great. They have a nice selection of appetizers, entrées, and rolls. My boyfriend had the Whole Jumbo Wings with Fries and Shrimp Fried Rice. I had the Hot and Spicy Chicken. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. We both think it is probably the best fried rice we’ve ever had. And the chicken… yum! We’re both looking forward to going to back and trying some of the those rolls and other dishes.

I enjoyed the combo fried rice, and the kimchi maki roll was interesting. Next time I’m going to try a soup and a specialty moki roll!

I haven’t written a review in a while but I made sure to log into my dusty account and share my two cents on this restaurant. I ordered through grubhub for delivery from them and the food was just horrible. We ordered the bulgogi maki, alaskan maki, tuna maki, steamed dumplings and a small shrimp fried rice. The fish looked old and tasted weird, the dumplings were mushy/a bit slimy and the fried rice was greasy that I couldn’t take more than one bite. I was sooooo(etc.) disappointed; especially since I was so hungry. And after reading the reviews here about how good it was I would have to think that they were paid reviews. Because… seriously, it was crap in a foam container. Don’t waste your money or your time ordering from here.

This was our third time having Kokodak. The food here is so good! Helen and her husband make some amazing chicken, and the sushi tastes very fresh. If I had one thing that would bring this place up to five stars it’s the décor… I know they have just opened but a lot of the stuff looks as if it had been taken from some sot of restaurant auction or something. The place needs a more enjoyable eating area. Hopefully with time and more customers this will be possible. For now, I will continue to come here, because the chicken they make is to die for! Also, no ban chan at this place. You have to pay $ 3 for a plate of kimchee.

I never order delivery sushi because it never seems to be very good. Last night, really wanting sushi, I randomly ordered from here and it was DELICIOUS! Really fresh tasting, I loved all the rolls(Mexican maki, California sunset, and Dragon special). I also got egg rolls, did not like them that much. I wish they would deliver nigiri/sashimi also but there were only rolls available.

After waiting two hours… The only solace is how nice the lady who called me from the restaurant. Food would have been better if it got here sooner and wasn’t sitting in a car for more than an hour.

I have only ordered delivery from Kokodak, but I am really excited that a sushi restaurant has opened in the neighborhood! The rolls I received were great(5 for around $ 20, which is unheard of at any other sushi restaurant). I tried the Sweet Potato roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Shrimp Tempura roll, Fried Philadelphia roll, and Avacado Roll. All of them were great. I have not tried their Korean Chicken, but excited to come back and try more of the menu.

I’m pleased to write the first review of this place. They just opened this week in a little hole in the wall where Brothers Coffee Shop used to be, and I have to say when I saw that a sushi restaurant was coming to Albany Park(and in that location) I was a little wary, but also a little excited. I’m really happy to say that for what it is their food is really quite good. The place doen’t really have any tables(there’s just a bar that goes all the way around the walls — but they just opened so maybe tables will come later) more importantly though they do both carry out and delivery… and since I have a jones for sushi every other week and I live about 200 steps away, that makes me really happy! They have a large selection of sushi rolls and maki — we tried the Hot & Bothered(really awesome!), Chicago Crazy and the Spicy Tuna Roll — all of which were very fresh, very flavorful and all at reasonable prices. Their Korean menu is a bit limited — we only had the Bulgogi(also good), but they have Korean BBQ Chicken on the menu which we look forward to trying our next time around. If you’re looking for a night out, it’s obviously not the place to go, but for Sushi/Korean take-away, I highly recommend it. For a comparison, think Rolls & Bowls on Lincoln Avenue — with a smaller menu without the inflated price tag. They are a welcome addition to our neighborhood and thankfully a break from yet another taqueria or Lebanese restaurant which is the standard around here.
