Subs that are really not that great, (you could probably go to any grocery stores and buy comparable ingredients to make the same sandwich at home). That are made a little faster than Subway, by employees that don’t seem to want to be there. They do deliver which might be the only good thing I have to say about this place. They’re plenty of better choices in the area.

JJ’s are all pretty cookie cutter. Good subs, crazy fast. This is the only location I’ve ever been to that was slow.
One guy took my order, 3 guys were making subs. There were two orders ahead of me and I had to wait aprox. 10 minutes. The people in front of me also waited a long time. This location needs to remove the freaky fast decal from their window. False advertising.

Honestly it’s hard not to otder jjs for lunch. It’s way too fast and easy. Insert stupid ‘that’s what she said’ line here. They are always on time, never screw up the order, they don’t smell like the other bike delivery people in the area, no one ever objects to getting Jimmy John’s, and there is something on the menu for everyone.
I’ve also been dabbling across their menu, which I normally don’t do. But honestly, how could anyone screw that up?

WORST JIMMY JOHNS EVER. First time I ordered online, they took over an hour to deliver. Second time, over half an hour.
My lazy ass lives 4 blocks away and it shouldn’t take this long to deliver sandwiches that claim to be «freaky fast.» When I call to follow up, the managers just apologize but do nothing about it – maybe you can call the delivery person, or figure out why it’s taking so long.

Just got food poisoning here. Had a beach club with their «sprouts.» Had the sandwich before class, 2 hours later… was not fun. Doing an internet search, it seems to be a common issue with JJ’s. I will not be back. I am done with them.

The punch cards are back, and I’m earning sub sandwiches like a pro!
Seriously — this is one of the few places where I can get a super delicious, quick bite in the south loop. They never have a line, they’re never out of things, and they can usually make my sandwich in less time than my card takes to process @ the register. Amazeballs.
Also, they deliver on bikes. I love places that deliver on bikes!

The college student staff are hyper-​efficient and friendly and the place is clean, but the sandwiches are pretty bland, though admittedly my options are limited to those vegetarian. I guess I just don’t much care for Jimmy Johns.
Addendum: forget all that other stuff I said. The founder of the chain shoots elephants. Fuck this place.

Jimmy John’s sandwiches are the best. I prefer them over Subway or Potbellies. But the service is such a hit or miss at these sandwich joints.
I went into the store, ordered myself a Veggie Sandwich on wheat bread with no mayo. I don’t think my order was THAT complicated. But they got it wrong. This particular joint gets it wrong every time. Sigh.
Anyhow, I can’t complain too much. Jimmy John’s is great food. But this particular James Johan gets only three-​stars because of the low par service.

Best Jimmy Johns location in Chicago! I work across the street and visit way too much, but the staff is always SO friendly — ask how you are, know you order like the back of their hand, and of course — super fast. The place is always clean and the ingredients are always fresh! They really go out of their way to make their customers happy!

AWESOME!!! I always get delivery because it is crazy fast! Always tastes great. I place my order online and they are always to my house within 10 minutes. I love this place. I have visited the location once to pick up a sandwich on my way home. They were quick, friendly and the dining area was very clean.

While I had only tried Jimmy John’s in Texas, this one was fun to stop by, right in the very heart-​beat of downtown Chicago.
The bread here (and the same as in Texas) is the best bread for any sandwich in the United States. You can order what is called a Slim 6 which is nothing but the bread and cheese and it rocks. That is very impressive.
It is my opinion that Jimmy John’s has the best sandwich in the US, now that I have tried them in multiple states. The bread is wicked freaky awesome.

Four stars, because YES, I’m a fan. JJ’s a basic sandwich shop so don’t expect some crazy good sandwich, because this is more just a basic sub. But hey, the prices are reasonable, and they deliver quickly!
This location is a great option of staying at the Hilton Chicago for an extended period of time. Delivery is fast and reliable, and it sure beats paying for room service!

Maybe it’s because I used the online ordering, but I ordered a bootlegger club with avocado and cheese and I got a turkey sandwich with bacon and avocado, no cheese or roast beef. The receipt said it was a bootlegger, but sadly by the time I unwrapped my sandwich I was at work, JJ’s was closed, and it was too late to do anything.
it was good, but I was kinda bummed that my order got f’d up :(

I would normally give a sandwich place of this quality a 3 rating. Solid menu choices and you can customize as you like.
+1 for having the «un-​wich» menu item, an 8″ lettuce wrap instead of bread, for us people doing the low-​carb thing.

Jimmy Johns is an oasis of normalcy when you’re at a conference at the Hilton on South Michigan. Just two blocks of freezing your ass off and you can have yourself a lovely sub sandwich instead of eating «hotel food.»

I was here a few weeks ago and I needed something to eat fast as I was running late for an appointment. It has been a long time since I have been to a Jimmy Johns so I really could not remember what my last experience was like.
Well they got me my sandwich fast that was for sure and the girl who took my order was really friendly and she actually seemed sincerely friendly too. I got what they called a Big John which was not very big at all. In fact it was not all that great at all. The skimpy little sandwich was NOT worth the price I paid and it was NOTHING better than a sandwich I could have made myself at home. The music they had playing was almost deafening. I am glad i was by myself because I would not have been able to hear the person across from me anyway.
Now I understand why I don’t remember my last visit as it was very unmemorable. If it was for the the quick service This would have been a dismal one star.
