Jedynka is not bad of a club– Like any ethnic night club you will encounter some bad apples but overall I met some good people. Its a polish nightclub but I heard the owner is Italian. not sure. The host was an attractive russian girl. She was very nice and courteous. Like any nightclub, you will have loud euro music. There is a covercharge and the drinks are not too bad.

This club was«pumpin» about 10 – 20 years ago. I’m 24, and my PARENTS said they went there when they were dating. Now, it’s all people in their forties and up, it seems. The music wasn’t even current. All youngins are going to Martini Club now. They should unite or something to make it better. Good specials for the shots, though. I disagree about the hot girls. Naprawde, nie wartne.

This has been the WORST club I have ever visited. They are extremely prejudice and have no shame in showing it. And just be ready to given the stink eye if your date is Polish and your not. And the drinks are watered down… the music is ok, but I can go to Crobar(where they have better music, drinks, & classy crowd). If you are not Polish, don’t expect to be treated very to all of you that attend this club and have that mentality I have one this to say: DEODORANT. Because your not only ignorant… you smell horrible!!!

This place needs some remodeling otherwise next door Martini Club will take over all their customers. Prices average. Customer service sucks.

If you don’t speak polish, you pay twice the cover, the bartenders ignore you, and charge you $ 5 for drinks. Get ready to see a bunch of stuck up ugly Europeans.

Free drinks. Loud euro-dance. Polski’s. Sounds like a perfect Friday night to me. Could’ve done without the fog machine though.

I don’t think I would’ve written a review for this place if it hadn’t turned up in my search as the best reviewed dance club in Chicago. I was stunned when I saw that. I should also add that I set up my Unilocal account just so I could review this place. I went to Jedynka for the first time last month, because one of my Polish friend’s was having his birthday, and was curious to see what it was like. I didn’t know it was a dance club when I was invited(I figured it was just a bar), so I showed up in flip-flops…whoops. The bouncer stopped me at the door, but didn’t say anything. Then after a minute or so, the owner(I’m guessing) came out and said, «what are you going to the beach?» Hilarious. I said that I was here for a friend’s party and I did not know of a dress code, so eventually he said, «okay, I’ll let you in, but next time…» Yes, next time I want to go to a shitty Polish Club way the hell out west I’ll remember not to wear beach attire. Anyway, the club tried pretty hard to be happening(smoke machine!), but ultimately, it failed. No one was dancing except for one crazy guy who I assumed they paid. The DJ actually had to remind people this is a dance club over the PA system before a couple more piteously went on to the floor. The drinks weren’t too expensive if I recall, but I don’t go to dance clubs to drinks… I go to get down! I would’ve given this place two stars, but I’m Lithuanian.

Awesome Euro Club. People actually dance here instead of sitting around and staring at each other. Large dance floor in the middle. On the weekends, they have cool contests such as sexy legs, sexy chest for guys that are decided by the crowd. It is all a lot of fun. Drinks are very good and well priced. They have A LOT of specials, almost every night is something different. Some nights ladies drink free or get in for free. Other nights its like $ 3 for all drinks. They serve Zywiec(Polish beer) I also had my 25th Birthday party here. They were very accommodating to my needs and made my party very memorable and fun. They even gave me a birthday gift!!! Get on their mailing list and they will send you e-mails with upcoming events. And yes everyone speaks English here.

I’ve only been for karaōke night, and as an outsider to Polish Chicago it’s hard to remember that you’re actually in Chicago and not Poland. Even if(or especially if) you don’t understand a lick of Polish, it’s quite fun to watch the red ball bounce on top of the unpronounceable Polish words on the television monitors. Singers take their turns on an actual stage with everyone watching; the lighting and slick pace of the night gives this sort of a serious MTV vibe.

A fantastic Polish club with great Euro dance music(dance, euro, house, trance) that is surrounded by some really cool lasers, lots of mirrors, flashing lights, and yes, lots of fog! The atmosphere is energetic and the service is very friendly. It’s usually a Polish crowd, but I always find other European nationalities hanging out there as well. Even some occassional Americans will swing by and get into the dance music and take advantage of the long islands. As for drinks, Jedynka serves the BESTLONGISLANDS in Chicago for a great price(last time I was there they were $ 6– ridiculously low for how good and effective they are), and if you have 2 of them you will be buzzing hard if not drunk. They also have great drink specials, and like one of the users mentioned, free beer for first two hours on special nights. The layout of the club is pretty good with a spacious dance floor while a separate room that is divided into regular seating and private parties. The waitresses are friendly and ready to refill your drinks as soon as you finish them. The DJs are pretty good and play some of the latest in dance music from Europe and from Europeans DJs here in the States. They play alot of retro music too which I’m not a big fan of, but nonetheless the dance selection and mixes are fun and will get you on the dance floor. Wed nights are karoke nights and is alot of fun and amusing to go check out. I highly recommend it! The only critique that kept me from giving this club 5 stars is how some Polish guys stand on the sides or at the bars while their girlfiends are out dancing on the dance floor. If you happen to be a guy who’s single and dancing out on the floor with friends, and you happen to get near one of these girls, their boyfriends will stare you down the rest of the night or immediately grab them and take them to the bar. If it was a one time thing, then I wouldn’t really care. But this hasn’t happened once but repeatedly, and I met several guys who have complained about the same thing. Even my female friends have noticed the same. I never have this problem with the other clubs in Chicago. Just a little tip… if you plan on bringing your girl to a dance club and not plan on dancing while she does, don’t get jealous or give ugly stare-downs at guys who are actually secure about themselves and want to dance and have a good time. If you want to stand around a bar and not have your girl dancing with other people, then leave and go to a bar! Overall, an excellent European nightclub with excellent dance music, superb drinks, a spacious dance floor, and a great staff. Definitely worth a visit!

They gave me free ice cream cocktails for singing Madonna. Plus, the polish wig guy who sings Cheap Trick! Love Jedynka Karaōke Show on Wednesdays times ten million.

Are you a girl? Do you like transparent-pale Polish guys with frosted tips and track jackets? Do you enjoy the smell of Drakkar Noir, Stoli, and Fog Machine? Are you fond of dancing in a circle to melodramatic eurotechno? Make it a Jedynka night! Live your Dreams!!!

Free drinks, free food and endless bodily movements under lazer light shows… now that’s a pretty good Friday night. This club is my hidden neighborhood gem, well, it’s becoming less and less hidden as the word gets out. Almost every Friday night, the club opens up the bar, free drinks until 10-ish, added with a side of various appetizers. This place has been in business for over 10 years, I don’t know how they make a profit. Oh wait, could it be all the men who flock here trying to kick game only to spend whopping amounts of money to try and win over the ladies? I’ve played my part in that game… been there, done that, not my style. Don’t be intimidated by the lack of English spoken here, cash and hand gestures is all you need to get you by. Oh, and did I mention, ladies are FREE! Ladies come for the great deal, men come for the great ladies. Yes boys, there is something in it for you… ladies. Enough polish girls to go around. But that’s not my forte… the dance floor is my domain. Mirrors, lights, mirrors, vibrations, mirrors, fog and big disco balls… I spin into my own private video… PG-13 you dirty minds! This place has it all and for the most part… it’s FREE! Just remember to tip your waitresses. For as such a packed house this place can get, they are always checking to see if you need a refill… very on top of things.

This is the best dance club on the NW side and a huge weekend commitment since it’s at 5600 W. Diversey. I’ve tried many ways of getting there but the best seems to be the Belmont Bus and a cab home. It’s the most culture shock I’ve experience anywhere in Chicago while almost blending in. Almost. If you need an excuse to wear something tight and shiny– Jendynka is your place! You wont be the most obnoxiously dressed. Sometimes there are even mini-skirt contests. If you’re lucky, the one and only DJ Markski will play an old Euro set complete with Toto and Alphaville remixes! If you’re not, you’ll hear hard or progressive house and some Shaggy songs for the slow dances(yes, people slow-dance here).

The best Apple Martinis in town!!! Okay back to my review, I had a pretty good time at Jedynka last time I was there. It’s usually quite packed and there might just not be enough room for you on the floor, I know it sounds funny but people really enjoy dancing here, which is great, because I hate it when people go to clubs and just stand there like a tree. The crowd is mostly Polish, and the DJs speak in Polish the whole time, so you can brush up on your Polish skills and learn a new word or two :) On Sundays they play mostly 80s, which I didn’t know when I went there on a Sunday night, but I made the most of it, and being there with some great people also helped, we had an awesome time! Parking is never a problem since there is plenty of it all around the block. Oh and the coat check doesn’t rip you off here, it’s only a buck!

This is the club to go to if you want to experience young Polish Chicago. Fridays they generally have some kind of stage show– miniskirt competitions, miss Chicago calender girl, buff chest, etc. All the patrons dress nicely here too– this is a pretty high end place as far as you could expect out here. Black shoes are required for men on weekends. While everybody is Polish, the place strives to incorporate more broadly based«European» influences– the owner is actually Italian. If you’re really high brow, you’ll want to park your freshly washed Benz or BMW at the Amoco on the corner with all your fancy friends. The rest of us take advantage of the free parking available in the Aldi parking lot– a nice touch. I hear Sunday nights are fun here– Retro/80s Euro disco! On my list to check out. I can say that Wednesday night karaōke night is unlike any other you’ll ever witness– the MC stands under the spot light on the stage introducing the singers. Each singer belts out their Polish song like a professional– this is not about beer drinking and entertaining, this is about singing. Stand-up comics entertain between ‘acts’ as well. I don’t speak Polish, so I can’t vouch for their humor. I generally don’t like my karaōke serious, but man this scene is something special. Definitely check this place out if you want a little adventure– it’s a treasure of ethnic Chicago.
