Great choice for lunch! This restaurant is located in the basement of the Macy’s on State Street. It has a sports bar atmosphere but their menu offers a variety of options. The server was friendly and quick to bring drinks and food. Be sure to ask the server for a recommendation for an appetizer. I shared a burger with my husband– great choice! Overall– great option when you’re looking for a meal or drink in a very crowded store.

It’s a bar located in the basement of Macy’s(The old huge Marshal Field’s building off Randolph). Great place to let the traffic die down. The beer is cold, the tenders are friendly, and the crowd is nice. We found it on a whim after searching for a spot in a neighborhood that’s a little light on bars. You’ll walk through the cologne section on your way in, and I recommend a spritz of something expensive, you know, because you can.

This is my favorite place in the Loop for a quick drink. The bar has a great selection of beers. The staff is always nice and quick. One thing I love is this place is never too busy-except around Christmas time. My niece loves the pizza and I’m a big fan of the potato chips.

Food was great. Ambiance was great. Loved the tvs and the drinks. Took off a star because server was a jerk. Customer service means everything

Amazing! Infield’s could be much more than it is but the overall look and feel is wonderful. The menu is nice and simple. The food tastes fine.

I am going to make this short and sweet. The food was decent, waitress was pleasant but got one order completely wrong and we had to have our bill adjusted accordingly at the end. The restaurant was not packed and the delivery took forever. We had to ask for more water during lunch and that is always a huge issue for me. All in all, I probably won’t go back.

What a lovely experience. Thats what I can truly say about my visit to Infield“s which happened by pure chance. This is a gem of a hidden eatery. The Infield does not possess any pretentiousness. It truly is an” as is” wonderful tucked away sports bar with hot delicious well made eats. I was tickled to death when I entered and was greeted by a most friendly staff. From entry area to seating, the service never lagged. So appreciated. We opted for bar seating and my son had ordered a Hall of Flame Burger described as a prime burger topped with jalapeño, bacon, muenster cheese, giardiniera and a roasted red pepper aioli. He wasn’t that crazy impressed and I in all honesty did not try it… he told me the burger itself was completely unseasoned and the aioli was dead. That is such a crucial error in my opinion. Don’t do that. I had ordered the Wings, Buffalo Style. had a craving… and they were really really good. For one. they were huge! Crispy fried coating tossed in a just rightly spiced sauce. Excellent and have to admit better than more expensive«wingeries» in the city. Nicely done. The staff set this place apart with the attentiveness and warm smiles. LOVEDOURBARTENDER. The sweetest girl ever. She handled a somewhat difficult guest with pure class. A few menu option additions would be without argument, and in my opinion, this eatery can turn into a Chicago goldmine. Introduce some beer steamed bowls of Mussels with crusty bread… intro some well seasoned sliders… and maybe some peel and eat Shrimp, also steeped in beer with lemon and seasonings… this place could take off!!! We need this adorable friendly hidden sports bar. Perfect for a lunch break, to meet up with your friends in the area and also a Great place to escape upcoming weather occurrences! Good Job Infield’s…you will see me again! Now get on that menu!!!

Working nearby, I’ve had lunch here many times over the years. The last time I was here, I noticed that they had remodeled. It was much more inviting and brighter. The food is very good which is what brings me back. Service is good at first, but it seems to take forever to get the bill and pay. You’ve finished eating, you’ve given all the signs that you’re done and ready for the check and the waiter/waitress has disappeared and is nowhere to be found. Today I waited 10 minutes and had to get up and find another waitress to get my bill and pay. When you’re there on a lunch hour, this can be a problem.(This seems to happen all the time which is why I usually ask for the check when they bring the food … just forgot to do that this time around.)

It’s located in the basement of Macy’s store on state street. Service is kind of slow which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. But the food and drinks are pretty good. I had fish and chips & a Bloody Mary. They have TVs and a full bar, so if you’re bored or waiting for someone to be done with their shopping, then this is a great place for the guys.

I’m not kidding when I say this, but I wish with all my heart that I was. This joint had a «Beefeater Tom Collins» on SPECIAL(ONSPECIAL!) today for $ 4. Sounds good, so I ordered one. What came to the table looked like soda water with an olive. It’s the farthest thing from a Tom Collins one can ever imagine seeing. I went up to the bartender and pointed this out. He looked at his clipboard and said«Oh yeah… gin, dry vermouth and soda water». Let me assure you that no such drink has ever existed to anyone, and if it did it wouldn’t be called a Tom Collins and they most certainly wouldn’t be on special as a Tom Collins. I will say the food menu looked good, but your burger might come out as a turkey sandwich with ketchup

For a restaurant located inside a clothing store it’s not bad, I got the cheeseburger and fries, which was pretty good, and the nachos which werent bad, we also got the choc cake n ice cream, which was pretty standard, I wouldn’t make a point to go here, but if you’re shopping at Macys and dont feel like going anywhere else it’s an all right option

Standard bar food. Terrible service! There was more wait staff than tables to serve when I went and it took forever to get seated, get water, take our order, bring our food. I won’t be back for sure. Go to the café next door and order from there if you’re hungry.

Walking through the pedway we see a sign for a special. A cheddar burgar and a Stiegl beer for $ 10. We debated for a minute but decided to go in. We order the special and they tell us fries are a few bucks more. Feeling suckered, I reluctantly order the fries. Then they tell us they are changing the keg and can no longer offer us the Stiegl beer but we can have Stella instead. I don’t like Stella but La Fin Du Monde is on top so I ask for that. My server has to ask the manager and she says no(in front of us). The place is empty and we walk out. I was reluctant to try the place and now I’m obviously never going back. What manager makes a decision like that in an empty restaurant? When I walked in I also noticed the restaurant had a dank smell. Perhaps that’s why the place was empty. Also, where do you get a burger where fries aren’t included. Bad experience.

I have passed Infield’s on my way to the 7th floor dining options countless times. For the first time I decided to stop in and see what this place had to offer. Atmosphere — Quiet and dark. I think there may have been one other table when we ate here. There was also a weird smell, that reminded me of a dirty, college bar. If you are looking to hideout then this is a good place. Food — Food was a little below okay. I had the southwest salad(they only offer 2 salads). The lettuce in the salad was shredded lettuce(like on a taco) and the chicken was bland. Price — The price point was a little high for the quality of the salad. Next time I will go with my gut and even if the wait is a little longer on the 7th floor, the food is 10x better.

Every morsel was delicious, which was a bit surprising for a restaurant located in the basement of a department store. The service was the star of the show, though. Every single person I encountered was generally concerned with my wellbeing and the quality of the food. This is a very rare find in Chicago.

Infields is a bit um, dingy. It’s in the basement next to the pedway, so essentially an ally. I am not a huge fan of the restaurant. The service is so-so. And the food is so-so. I don’t think it’s worth a trip. I would pass on it when there are so many other options available.

Took a group of 8 here for lunch on a Monday… I thought it was pizza buffet day(only on Th and Fridays) and arrived around 12:30. Place was pretty empty and they sat us at a table by the bar. Chuck took really good care of the group, and did a nice job managing to keep everyone happy(and drinks refilled). We let him know we only had 45 minutes and the food was out in time. I had the burger and it was not very good, fries were worse. The general consensus from the group was = MARGINAL. Maybe it was the wrong day, but I would stop in for a beer(bar is nice) but not the food.

I’m going to echo Rachel S. «What a fortuitous accident… we were going to go to Frontera Fresco, but it closed at 3pm!» So we ended up here instead… and it turned out quite good. I had the sausage pizza and it was quite good! More than enough for 1 person for about $ 10… two could probably share it with an appetizer. Speaking of which, I was starving when I got there, so I tried the pretzel bites… for $ 5, I recommend them. So think about it… two people can eat for a total of less than $ 20 in the Loop at a sit down place that also happens to have a full bar should you so desire!

I wouldn’t of known there was a sports bar in Macy’s if it wasn’t for this Meetup dive bar crawl I went on last Friday. It’s good if you are waiting for the train and I guess if you are craving some beer after shopping. I didn’t have any of the food, only a pint of Stella. For a sports bar, it’s seriously lacking the televisions. Avoid the dining area and try to stay near the bar. It’s more happening there.
