Terrible service. Never been to a bar where the bartender tells a customer «the customer is not always right.» Sorry, but, why would you say that? You do realize that you work in the service industry? I asked politely for a different drink and you said no «the bartender is always right.» Wow! Please learn service… you Ms. H&L know nothing about it.

Went on Thanksgiving night to watch some football. They were having a Thanksgiving special of $ 3 for anything. Literally anything (!!) except Patron. So yeah, we did a lot of partying that night. Had quite a few people but not so many as to be stifled. Our bartender (Wren) was able to get to us pretty quickly for each round.
Was recommended this bar by a friend and she was right, it was great. Solid Lincoln Park bar which I will definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful Space! The inside is just really well done/​I really liked the bar. Beautiful Bartender/​Amazing Specials… we were drinking $ 2.50 Alpha Kings? Where in HELL can you even find it on special for $ 5? Nowhere they said… Must Try Joint/​ask for Ren!

This place comes off as a party bar on the weekends and it surely holds to that with the crowd that frequents it on the weekends.
But I have to tell you there is no better place for Happy Hour during the week to grab a beer and for the price…$ 2 Drafts Sunday thru Wednesday… You just cant beat that price. The atmosphere is pretty mellow on the weekdays too, much more of a laid back crowd which I liked. The Bartenders are hit or miss probably due to the fact that they have so many people to deal with. It’s kind of hard to interact with them other than the «What do you Want?» But I get it…
Im a cheapskate and love deals so for a $ 2 Alpha King Draft… Can’t beat it.

Best bar ever! The prices can’t be beat. They also have the best beer known to man (21st amendment watermelon wheat) on tap. The bartenders are very friendly. One even offered to deliver my three beers to the table for me. There’s also a secret passage way to spice things up.

They have pints of Alpha King (and a bunch of other good beer options) for $ 3. Place was fairly dead when I was there early on a Thurs, but I was totally cool w/​that.
This is not a trendy option, pure utility value. Great product, no hassle getting drinks, had the Cubs game on. Worthy of 4-​stars to me, but I could certainly see people being disappointed if they are more into ambience and vibe. I’ll definitely be returning.

I probably won’t come back here again. The bouncers at this place are on some type of power trip and it’s embarrassing (for them). They called my gay friend a «faggot» and proceeded to kick him out for DANCING. Don’t go to this bar if you’re looking to have a good time.

Friday nights. You know, we were having fun and drinking. My gay friend started dancing, next thing you know, the bouncers were kicking him out for his sexuality. I’m not a sensitive person, but I took offense to 2 bouncers asking us to leave. That is not okay in my book.

Good bar that does things right. Never had a bad time and don’t plan on it. One of those places you can always count on on a Friday or Saturday that will have a solid crowd where you can get a cheap drink. I’ll be back

First time coming to this bar and will never come back. Came for my friends birthday. While we all are having a good time my friend takes a sip of her beer and spits out a bug. How gross! We let the bartenders know what was going on. No one came over to apologize except to come look at the bug and say it was not a cockroach. We never said it was a cockroach we simply said she found a bug in her beer. Needless to say we all couldn’t finish our beers and left because we were so grossed out. One bar tender was nice enough to buy us a round of shots but never an apology and my friend had to pay for her bug infested beer.

Fun, low key bar where you can have a very cheap night and still get a lot of drinks in you!
For now, they have $ 2 Fireball shots which is very dangerous if you get my drift. :P The bartenders are super fast at getting your drinks and very attentive. They have a pretty decent list of draft/​craft beers (my personal fav is the Curious Traveler). At most your beer would be $ 5 here. I haaven’t spent more than that.
If you’re looking for a fun place to go on a Friday night and don’t want to the chaos and drama that comes with the typical Lincoln Park crowd (locals, you know what I mean), come here! :)

Extension of Halligan’s right next door, Hook & Ladder is a bit dimmer with a cool-​vibes/​dark/​musky feel! Very hip, chill, and band playing! Much better than Wise Fools although I do miss it. Worth a try!

Hook & Ladder is a great bar with $ 4 30 craft beer choices on draft, $ 3 all shots and drinks ranging from $ 3.50-$ 6.50! Great ambiance. Fantastic friendly bartenders. No college scene to ruin your night. Beautiful brand new bars & a perfect music selection for any occasion. Great date night place & bar for any sporting occasion.
Awesome side note: there is a secret door that you can walk through to get to Halligan Bar!
