I used to frequent this restaurant a lot only because it was the only Chinese restaurant near my home. The food was decent however the owner is extremely rude and ignorant. He has an attitude all of the time. Not only have I personally been treated badly on several occasions but I have seen him treat others terribly. The only reason we continued to go there is because the man that used to regularly work there was very nice and always tried to apologize for his bosses horrible behavior. Then when he started working at the other location the owner started working at this location everyday. I have came to the restaurant during regular business hours on several occasions and he was not even open. He said«he opens when he wants to». Really? What kind of professionalism is that? The final straw was when I ordered some crab rangoon and 2 lunch specials and he gave me 2 sweet and sour sauces. And that was after I waited for him to open the restaurant late! When I went back to ask for more sweet and sour sauce he began arguing with me stating that he gave me more than that and told me to get out! Now mind you he knows I spend a lot of money there and I am a regular customer. I have NEVER met a business owner as unprofessional and rude as this man. I am surprised he stays in business. I guess because there are no other Chinese restaurants around as an alternative. Hmm, business idea! Seriously, do not go here!

First of All, I love Chinese food. Who doesn’t? The food is excellent. They give you mounds of food for a great price. You can get a lot of tasty good Chinese food without emptying your wallet. Mongolian beef is my favorite. Everything is made fresh. The focus is flavor. This place satisfies the Chinese food craving that you might have. The place itself is super tiny. Don’t expect the place or the service to get super fancy. But if you are looking for good Chinese food you can find it here.

DONOTPATRONIZETHISESTABLISHMENT. Residents of the Bronzeville community, and several elected officials of the community who are making efforts to get acquainted with business owners, and improve community relations were told by Hong Kong Delight staff«We do not want or need your business. We don’t want anything to do with YOUPEOPLE. «I would not trust eating at a restaurant where the owners don’t want anything to do with the residents or the elected officials of the community. I plan to encourage ALL residents to boycott this location. I gave a one star rating, because it I didn’t have a choice to give a no star rating.

The worse customer service in the history of customer service. The man had the nerve to say«you people» to my elderly mother. It’s 2015. We’re still saying«you people«? This place will never receive my «you people» money. Customer service in Chicago is suspect enough, but this place was horrible. NOSTARS!!! NEGATIVESTARSIF I COULD! !!

On Saturday, Feb. 5Th 2011, I decide to try Hong Kong Delight Chinese take out on 35Th st which is close to my home. I normally would travel to the Canal St location where the food is always good. But, I opted for this location because they deliver to my Zip code. Now lets get to the review. The food was Horrible I ordered Shrimp fried rice, Shrimp Egg-Foo Young and Chinese style chicken wings. The rice had no flavor, the Egg Foo Young was OK, the chicken was dried out and burnt. I will NEVER patronize this place again. I think the one star was too many. WHAT A WASTEOFMONEY :-(p.s. The Delivery man was Nice.

This is a great American style Chinese take out place(have to say that with Chinatown so close by). The quality of the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The only bad thing I can say is that they amazingly do not have chopsticks!

This was a great deal! I had the combo meal with Mongolian chicken, fried rice, an egg roll(I actually got 2, but I don’t know if that was them being nice to me, or that was what it came with), and a can of pop and it was only $ 6.35.(You can choose your 3 sides). I also had 2 big Crab rangon for an extra $ 1.50. It was not a very healthy dinner and leftover lunch, but it was tasty and lots of food! This place is mostly carryout. They have a couple of tables, but I think that’s just to sit while you wait. Right after I ordered, the guy cooked my food right in front of me. I appreciate this a lot, because I can see how clean everything is! I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to go here before. But I’m not sure it’s good for my figure that I have found a good cheap Chinese place so close to me.
