If the passionate, high energy of Nick, the Juice Boss, is any indication of the effectiveness of the juices and smoothies they serve here, then please hook me up to a permanent IV! I am a raw vegan that’s scoured the city for these juice joints and in my opinion this is the most inventive, balanced menu in the city of Chicago. I love this place! I get the cold pressed juices but the bulletproof coffee is their most amazing offering. They’re super fast, and as courteous and engaging as instant friends can be. I highly encourage anyone reading this to visit and give it a try!

What an amazing find! I was recently introduced to juicing by a friend of mine and steadfastly made my way with her to Hi-Vibe to see if I could incorporate healthy organic juice into my daily life as well. From the minute I walked into the store I was greeted by a welcoming smile and jocular conversation by Jessica and Marisa. Admittedly I was skeptical about juicing and detoxing as an effective method of losing weight and maintaining a healthy diet, but that soon changed after speaking with Jessica and reading more about the methods of preparation that Hi-Vibe uses and the overall health benefits of their juices. Sufficed to say, I walked out with three great tasting juices, my favorite being the«kill shot» which has turmeric and ginger as the key ingredients. WOW!!! What a kick…(in a good way) I cannot wait to start my three day detox cleanse, not only for the health benefits that I am sure I will gain, but also the great taste. Anyway, I can prattle on positively of this establishments’ wonders for hours and will highly recommend Hi-Vibe for«juicing» novices and experts alike. Well done Jessica, Marisa and Nick!

This place wins my heart for my all-time favorite juice shop, ever! I have incorporated juice into my life for the past 3 years, one way or another. Living in New York for the past two years was rough on not only my wallet, but my body so when I moved back to Chicago I knew I needed to take some steps to get it back to the way it was when I left. And that’s when Hi Vibe entered my life. I first discovered it through one of the fitness accounts I followed on Instagram and went in one Sunday to buy ONEJUICE. I came out with a juice, a kill shot, and a scheduled three-day cleanse for the next weekend. Nick was great and let me sample every juice in the cleanse which was awesome because that’s what really sold me on it. I have done three day cleanses in the past, particularly if they are on sale or I can get a groupon for it. Hi Vibe’s cleanse was the first cleanse I paid full price for and I seriously will never try a cleanse from anywhere else. Side note: I was nervous about the all veggie juice(G-8) but after trying it the first day it wasn’t too bad. The owner had mentioned that his body craves it and I totally understand where he is coming from now. So on to the cleanse: first off it is a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Other cleanses are usually the bare minimum ingredients and really aren’t tailored in a way Hi Vibe’s is. All their juices not only have 100% organic items, but each one contains a blend of superfoods which really helps your body detox and heel during the cleanse. I chose to do the bulletproof cleanse because it is VERY hard for me to survive without coffee. I love starting my day with bulletproof coffee because it holds me over until about noon or later. It also really fills me up and I don’t start the day craving food. The next juice in the G-8 all veggie juice. I like to drink mine with ice because the ice dilutes it a bit. The next one is typically another green juice, most of mine have been the Dandy Detox which is a combo of dandelion greens, celery, ginger, apple and lemon. If I make juice at home its usually a combo of apple, lemon and ginger with some veggies so I really like this one. All cleanses include a superfood bomb and I typically take this after my second juice. I always replace my photobomb(algae, MCT and coconut) with a kill shot which has oregano oil, black pepper, raw honey, lemon, apple, turmeric, and ginger. This is probably my favorite part of each day of the cleanse. I instantly feel better after I drink this, actually whether I am on a cleanse or not. The third juice is typically their Beet Juice. I have not found one beet juice I can stand, except for this one. It’s probably because it is mixed with ginger, lemon and apple. I think there are carrots in it too. Sometimes they will sub this with an Apple Thieves, which is basically a spice filled, tastier apple cider. Its juice apple juice with thieves oil but you can really taste the cloves and the cinnamon from the oil. I believe this one is seasonal though. The fourth juice is usually another green juice either Refreshmint or Get Right. Personally, Refreshmint is one of my favorites. I’m a sucker for both mint and cucumber. When you are drinking it you instantly feel like you are at the spa. The last juice is always a mylk. This is where it gets tricky for me because I despise coconut juice and each of these contains it. I typically will sub whatever I get out for a Golden Mylk. To me, it tastes like a healthier and tastier horchata and there’s enough ingredients in it to mask the taste of coconut(almond, pepper, turmeric, vanilla, honey and cinnamon). Sometimes I put it in the freezer and get it to an ice cream consistency — so good! Half of the time though, by this time of the day, I am not even hungry. There have been a few days where I can’t even drink the whole bottle because I’m so full. And my energy levels are honestly through the roof when I’m cleansing with them(on other cleanses all I would want to do was sleep). Every single employee that I have met there is so helpful and friendly. Like I said the first day I basically got a mini cleanse to try before I committed to one. One of the girls that works in the morning knows me by name and I love walking in and seeing a friendly face. Literally starts my day off in the best mood. I have never had an issue asking to sub certain juices and they even put notes in your customer profile on their system. They also let you pick your juices up every day which is super helpful for me. If you are looking for a way to be healthier in 2016, I suggest you check them out. Even if juice cleansing isn’t your thing, they have raw foods, smoothies, and bowls that I’m sure are just as amazing as their juices.

I wish they had one across from my house and work! The best place for healthy shakes, bulletproof coffee, and juice in the city! The Maca Blue is my absolute fav. The cacao superfood ‘truffles’ are SO good, but pricey at $ 15. Worth a splurge every one in a while…

This place hits the mark for organic juices & smoothies, top of the line. I have been making bulletproof coffee & kill shots a weekly regiment since they opened. Nothing compares in Chicago. Dandy Detox, bulletproof smoothie, and coconut shake combo is a life saver after a hard night out!

Personally, the stuff here isn’t worth the money. Everything maybe fresh but still way too pricey for my liking(even in downtown). Very small, clean store. No seats for eating. I’ve gotten the pitaya bowl here twice, albeit tasty, I just wasn’t left feeling full at all — whereas my usual experiences with acai bowls leave me feeling stuffed. I would skip the truffles. I could recommend giving this place a try, but purchasing here on a regular basis isn’t be sustainable for me.

I haven’t quite gotten on board with juicing yet. Well, I tried a juice cleanse a couple years ago and failed miserably. These places kind of intimidate me only because other customers seem way more fit and healthier and, in-the-know about ingredients than me. I’ve walked by a few times and decided to check it out one day. I was curious about the Bulletproof coffee, and at the time, I was in need of a coffee boost. It comes in one size and probably the most expensive cup($ 8) I’ve ever had. But, it was delicious, smooth, and had just the right amount of sweetness to it. I’ve been there a few times since, usually getting a bulletproof coffee or switching it up with a Maui Wowie(with chia seeds) smoothie. The employees are great about interacting with their customers and offer suggestions in a not-so-pushy way about what to add in your smoothie, coffee or acai bowl. I’m reconsidering a juice cleanse, especially since the holidays are here. Damn you, holiday weight.

If you start your day at Hi-Vibe, it will be the best day ever. The juices/smoothies/bowls/truffles/salads/coffee taste as good as they are good for you. It is so refreshing to find a business, any business for that matter, that puts this kind of quality and thought into its products. I am a personal trainer and health coach in the area, and recommend all of my clients stop in for certain foods. I know they are going leave happy, and return for more. My recommendations are the Bulletproof Coffee(try substituting a nut butter for grass-fed butter if you’re dairy-free) with Maca, Cinnamon and Turmeric, Kill Shot(if you’re feeling a little under the weather), Dandy Detox, the Truff-Loves(one of the best things you’ll ever taste!), and the Green Velvet(for smoothie lovers). Additionally, no breakfast is complete without one of their Acai Bowls either(yes, I’ve consumed all of these in one sitting before). The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My favorite place to visit in the neighborhood!

I stumbled across Hi-Vibe over the summer on one of my runs and have never turned back… and I am there literally every morning starting my day with their bulletproof coffee(they have pumpkin available now for the season)!!! I follow a paleo/bulletproof diet so this is my heaven since I have visited the actual hub bulletproof location in Santa Monica and this is right on equal level with that place taste wise. I suffer with many digestive issues and each juice contains different combinations of ingredients and nutrients that can help with whatever you need(they are also labeled with each ingredient and what they help with(ie: digestion, alleviation of inflammation, detox etc.) And the kill shots for this time of year are a God send! Just bought 4 this morning actually to help fight off my cold. So far I’ve done three 3-day juice cleanses(starting with a bulletproof coffee with ghee, a dairy free butter substitute each morning followed by 5 juices and a photobomb shot for energy) with them and by the end of them I am feeling absolutely amazing and the ailments I struggle with are so much better and my body feels more balanced and functioning. Obviously drinking straight liquid for 3 days isn’t easy(luckily the juices are MASSIVE) and were human we love food… so I still snack on some fruit and almonds when I start to feel those insane hunger pangs and it gets me over that hump. What I love about Hi-Vibe that really separates them from other juice places and cleanses is you have the flexibility to swap out juices depending on what you feel you need more or less of for that day. I train and am a runner so I need the calories and protein, they have DELICIOUS shakes and Mylk’s that can sub as replacement meals. Thicker then a smoothie but PACKED with superfoods(sprouted almonds, thai coconut, hemp etc.) that help fuel my body and aid in muscle growth and fat metabolism. What’s not to love?! My favs… the Golden Mylk(great post workout) and the Shaman Shake aka Chocolate paradise has a wonderful Ayurvedic herb Ashwaganda that promotes relaxation and is very soothing and detoxifying for the body and mind. I drink it after dinner to settle my stomach and relax me for bed :) I have tried everything on the menu(the addiction is real people…) but my review is the truth and I can say all this because I’ve done and tried it. I tell all my friends and family about this place and my mom is now an avid bulletproof drinker(helps her acid reflux immensely). Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly and practice what they preach and it shows because they know their sh*t and live the lifestyle. I find this important in a business and know I’m not being played for the sake of the bottom line. I will always support this local Chicago business and their love of health, 100% organic ingredients and offering people the chance to better their bodies, mind and lives.

I am giving 5 stars for the quality of the food and 3 stars for the service. I was incredibly underwhelmed with the young girl at the register. My receipt says that it was Nikolas, but it was definitely a young girl. I walked in and wasn’t familiar with the menu and mentioned this to the girl and all she had to say in response was, well everything is good. I proceeded to look at the green juices and asked for her preference. Never was I offered a sample to see if I truly liked what I was about to buy. I initially picked up the G6 and after I asked for a sample, I realized it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. Again, she never said here try another. I then asked for a sample of G8, which I liked and ended up getting. I also asked about the bulletproof coffee. All she offered to me were the ingredients with no extra comments. Again, I don’t expect the staff to know everything including some of the health benefits, but I would have appreciated just a tad more than what was stated on the menu. Finally, I make truffle balls at home so was excited to see these in the refrigerated display. They have a few more ingredients than I typically use, and I even mentioned to her — I wonder how these taste. Same blanket comment, everything is good. Again, I had to ask for a sample. And I do have to say, they were delicious! Anyhow, the food is great, super healthy, and definitely pricey. I just wish that girl would have been more willing to share some information about the menu and items I was purchasing(especially because I was the only customer in the store). It would have made for a much more enjoyable experience.

I’ve walked passed this place numerous of times. And I decided to finally walk in and I was greeted by a young fellow with a solid beard. Nice start. Let’s make this short… The shakes are delicious. A bit pricey for the size. But the ingredients are outstanding.

Oooh oooh ohhhh. On my business trip from NY2 out of my 3 breakfasts were spent here. I am so happy/grateful/blessed my fellow Unilocalers led me here! The people are super friendly and the Dandy Detox was exactly what I needed after a weekend of bad food. Then the whole day I was thinking about their açai pitaya bowl so I came back the next day and ordered it to eat by the river. Lovely lovely. My only complaint is there were chunks of icy açai towards the bottom of the bowl which were not so pleasant to munch on, but overall, probably my favorite of the 3 açai bowls I’ve had in the past 3 days in 3 different cities(I have a problem, I know).

I have a friend that goes here all the time, so I wanted to check it out. I was for warned it’s pricey and I think that really helped my experience. LOL. I went in already knowing that I wanted to try either the Acai or the Pitaya bowl. My choice was made for me since they were out of the Acai. No problem though cause the Pitaya bowl was delicious. Dragon fruit, banana’s, blah blah blah… lol. I couldn’t tell you all that’s in it, but it was definitely yummy and also beautifully made. The $ 15.00 price tag left me wanting a little bit more, but I’m sure it’s a decent price for what they must pay for the fresh ingredients. This isn’t a place I will have often due to the price, but I would like to try some more options in the near future. It was yummy!

I can’t get enough of this place. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I love the bulletproof coffee, photo bomb, and golden milk. I also really enjoy their spring rolls-they’re a perfect for a healthy and filling lunch. The only downfall is that its expensive, but I am willing to pay a premium for my health! If you’re a health nut, you’ll definitely enjoy this place.

What a lifesaver this place was. Posted up right where we were staying in town and so necessary on a vacation that revolved around pizza, pastry schools and general vacation libations. Not to say I eat like hell all the time and I am no stranger to fresh juice concoctions, but on vacation all bets are off. So it was nice to have a place remind you when you walked out of your building«Hey, maybe you should…» knowing what the day had in store. The juice here is squeezed fresh every morning and does sell out. I was the rookie who rolled in and asked for a juice looking at the menu and the super friendly guy, way too friendly for that time of the morning, pointed me to the case next to the counter. They were sold out of what I ordered and they aren’t made to order. I ended up with a G-8, kale and a bunch of other green with lemon. This actually tasted good, I didn’t have to suffer through it and felt great after I had finished. Placebo? Maybe, but a bunch of liquid green never hurt anybody. I had one of these everyday I was in town for my pizza attack. Pricey for sure but I thought it was worth it.

I just did a 3-day juice cleanse with these guys — I survived. Thanks for checking :) I have two complaints: 1. I felt like I did not get a full understanding of what the ingredients were in all the juices I was drinking. Many of which I had never heard of and were so obscure that even googling them didn’t turn up a wikipedia page. I was promised a pre-cleanse email from the nutritionist which never came. I did this with another friend and she was able to forward it to me. There was no follow up once the cleanse was over which was disappointing as well –where’s my congrats email? I just stopped eating for three days, I would like a medal please. 2. Cost. We asked about a Gilt deal before signing up to do it… The Gilt deal was not yet posted but they said that they were in talks with Gilt to actually pull it down before posting it. We said ok, and asked if there was a Gilt deal would it be possible to at least get a hi-vibe store credit for the difference and they said no. The day after we paid, it was on Gilt. Face Palm. This was a little frustrating. They still gave us 20% off, the original but I still feel slightly cheated. These cleanses are expensive and I slightly feel like they took advantage of us. The actual juices are huge — 17 oz per juice. This is a TON of liquid. I could not finish most of the juices. The pure veggie one: G8 was impossible to drink, semi disgusting. I couldn’t drink it on days 2&3 — but that’s what healthy is… right?! I am not sold on the fad that is juice cleanses… will I stop by and grab a drink from them here or there? Sure. But I’m not in a huge hurry to go back.

Being from out of town this place was a life saver. From all the indulgences Chicago has to offer, this place really helps give me some balance with nutrient packed juices and smoothies. A lot of juice bars tend to be pretty similar but this place really goes the extra mile to make sure they offer unique, delicious menu items. So far, I have tried the green velvet smoothie, the bullet proof coffee smoothie, the G8 juice, and the dandy detox juice. And I can honestly say each of them exceeded my expectations. And I am a hard one to please when it comes to juicing! Definitely give this place a shot!

Holy Juicus! I stumbled upon this gem while looking for a coffee shop downtown. At first glance it seem like just another juice bar, but lucky for me I managed to spot the bullet proof coffee sign and decided to give a it try! What’s bullet proof coffee you ask? Their bullet proof coffee is organic, brewed without all the toxins and blended with grass-fed butter. I know. Take it all in. I asked for mine to be lightly sweetened with coconut sugar I believe. Wow! That was some really good, smooth, tasty coffee and I’ve been thinking about it every morning since that faithful night. I loved the clean, minimalistic atmosphere, and the owner and staff were very friendly. They allowed me to sample a few of their juices before I took my pick. The Golden Mylk(sprouted almond*Thai young coconut*Turmeric*raw local honey* black pepper) is my jam! Skinny Genes is my second fave!
