I’ve tried this place twice. The first time, they messed up my order and it just wasn’t anything special. A year later, I decided to give it a try. Same damn thing, they messed up the sandwich… they don’t even know their own menu. Everything was cold: the corned beef in my reuben, which was missing the 1000 island dressing and the chili. The sandwich was $ 14!
Don’t ask me about my day, just make my damn sammich and get it right.

This franchise is not good, Oak Brook Terrace is not good, not good. Food is bland, service poor, wrong orders and they seem unappreciative of its customer base. Do not eat at these delis.

My sandwich was good. Alert – all are served hot. You must request if you want unheated.
I had #33– tuna with banana peppers and enjoyed (I prefer my tuna salad cold, so requested no panini press.
Aside– The sandwiches are named after Chicago streets but I am put off by the typos i.e., Fremont spelled Freemont — Dearborn spelled Dearbourn).
One of the few places in the area that had NO line when I visited. I will try another sandwich and bite my tongue on the typos.
I doubt these are deliberate misspellings.

Our office just moved into the block and just tried Halsted Street Deli & Bagel. Co-​workers and I are impressed with quality of salad (crisp and fresh) and the lower than average price point for lunch in the loop. Looking forward to more quick lunches at Halsted Street Deli. Line went quickly and staff very friendly.

Had breakfast here two days in a row while visiting from out of town. Very fresh ingredients and bagels, and bialys were incredible! The selection of yummy sandwiches was overwhelming, but we also had their soup and oatmeal which were great too. Gonna miss not having this place right around the corner, and the young man who waited on us was super sweet and attentive– former Army, and thanked my husband for his service as well. We would come here everyday if we were locals.

Unilocal, please fix pricing on this — very misleading. Food is great, staff is great — just about the best place for a quick but very delicious lunch! And breakfast menu a real treat. Soups are homemade good!

I don’t know why Unilocal has this place listed at $$$$ when it’s more like $. They close at 4pm and serve tasty bagels and sandwiches. It’s right by the Starbucks so I like to swing by both on my way back to my apartment.

This is a relatively new spot. Hard to find for some but it’s part of the Hotel Allegro. I would say the food is fresh and the sandwiches are delicious! The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and patient. They even let you order things off the menu and make your own – great for picky eaters like me. I would definitely recommend this place and go here at least a couple times a weeks!

I would love to give this place 5 stars, except I’m sitting here eating the wrong sandwich… as are 2 of my coworkers. While tasty, 2 of 3 of us received the wrong order and there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt but it’s challenging to do so when there was no rush to complete the correct orders.

The coffee is good and cheap. They’re going to have trouble competing with Starbucks and Dunkin, which are next door and across the street. But the coffee is better than Starbucks, and the bagels are better than Dunkin.

Just opened, but what a great spot for lunch. Sandwiches and salads are both pretty large and filling. Very clean place. I highly recommend this spot.
