Love Hahn liquors. Mr. and Mrs. Hahn are always so sweet when I come in, they don’t have the most inexpensive options but they have a pretty decent beer selection. Glad to have them in the neighborhood!

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but I stopped in on my way home from work to pick up beer and I left happy. Decent selection of Goose Island, Dogfish Head, and most of the major craft breweries you’d expect to see at a bigger liquor store… they even had some of the beers that tend to sell out quicker at larger stores, like Dogfish Head’s 120 min IPA. And if you really want an PBR or something, they’ve got that cold too. The prices were maybe $ 1 or so more per item than your large grocery store liquor department, but not badly over priced at all.

This is a convenient place on the border of Edgewater and Rogers Park that offers a nice variety of beer, wine, and spirits. Prices are as you should expect to find in the city. The best part of the shopping experience is the delightful Mrs. Hahn. She is always happy to see you, and goes to every effort to remember your name. The Hahn’s always want to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase and experience in their store. Glad to have this establishment in our neighborhood.

This is a solid liquor store with a good selection of everything. If you’re looking for deep discounts then take the time to hop the bus down to Binny’s. If you want a good selection at a decent price, then you go to Hahn’s. Great service as well!

Really decent beer selection. They have Delirium Tremens, which always earns(by default) at least 3 stars in my book. It’s a small store right by Devon market, which makes it easy to get groceries and a decent beer in one trip. Nice guy at the register as well. It’s great to have another solid booze store in the ‘hood.

I effing love Hahn Liquors. Every time I go in there with my fiancé, they tell me to be careful because he’s underage(he’s 31. it’s apparently the only joke Mr. Hahn knows but it cracks me up every time lol). Mrs. Hahn is adorable and gives great advice on what to buy. I went in looking for a sparkling red and she told me what to buy both for a nice occasion and for just a random weeknight. We buy well-priced six packs here all the time, as well as good wine and sometimes liquor. Even when it’s a little more expensive than a big box store(which is rare), it’s worth it for the awesome customer service! :)

LOVE this place. It looks like such a small store from the outside. You go in not expecting much. And then you realize the selection there is fantastic! Some great local beers in there and Mrs. Hahn is probably the cutest thing in the world. I’d recommend going in there and trying out Half Acre’s Daisy Cutter. I’m surprised such a little neighborhood liquor store has stuff like that. Love ‘em and I’ll keep on going there ’til I move.

Prices and selection are what one might expect from a indie liquor store, BUT Mr. and Mrs. Hahn are the nicest people in the city of Chicago. Seriously! Worth the trip there just to support a great local business.

I used to think the owners were really sweet people, but I changed my mind this evening. A month ago I brought back a bottle of wine that tasted baaaaaaad!!! I knew it was a risk to buy, as it was a bit dusty and the place does get pretty hot in there, but I took a shot. I shared it with two other people and we all passed on it. Anyways, after a little fuss, they let me take a different bottle of wine, and that bottle was great. So, I went in there tonight to pick up a bottle. I was going to ask Mrs. Hahn to choose the bottle, so I wouldn’t make a bad choice, but instead, they both told me that I could not purchase wine there anymore. I’ve been giving them my business for over 7 years. I’ve returned only two bottles of wine in all that time, but apparently I must have insulted them. They told me that I just didn’t like the wine and that it wasn’t bad. Although I don’t think so, even if that was the case, why not just tell me that you won’t reimburse me for the wine? Oh well, the extra trek to In Fine Spirits for well cared for wine and good customer service is worth it. Sorry Hahns! I’ll be telling all of my neighborhood friends to stay away!!!

Hahn Liquors, I’ve got to leave! So much for Rogers Park, Hahn Liquors it’s now long-sleeve! It’s autumn, Devon-and-Clark! Happy in summer heat At night I’d walk to you, With sandles on my feet, To buy some cheap-ass brew. Your selection was impressive, For a tiny corner store. (Did you know sales tax’s regressive? Let’s stick it to the poor.) Two Asians, man and wife; They smile when you pay; A simple small business life — «SIRYOUHAVEGOODDAY.» Hahn Liquors, I had forgot, All that summer heat, The PBR I bought And the sandles on my feet.

I think I have picked up a bad habit. I went for a 3 mile run and again I ended up at a liquor store. I guess the cool thing about running is you notice some establishments that you missed while driving. Anyway, the friendly Asian cashier lady was telling me that the store has been open since 1977. I don’t know why I was comparing myself to a liquor store, but for some reason I felt better about my age. Hey, maybe because I was in slightly better condition than the store. I just need to shed a rice bag worth of fat, have surgery on my shoulder(preferably bionic arm attachment), transplant a few fast twitch muscle fibers, and an injection of gingko/fish oil bathed CSF, and I’m good as new! Okay, so this summer I have been all about finding the best white beer. This store has Wittekerke, Blue Moon, Hoegaarden, Blanche de Bruxelles. They even have Three Floyds as well as other relatively hard to find brews. The beer prices are reasonable, it sure beats getting price plundered by Devon market a few blocks down.

Overall, an excellent place. There is plenty of wine and booze. The beer selection is decent but could be better. The prices aren’t that great but aren’t horrible. The couple who runs the place are really nice.

I agree with Scott K. on pretty much all he says. The owners are nice, but when we went to the Speakeasy — a BYOB restaurant across the street — with a bottle of red wine that needed a little chilling, the waiter asked us knowingly, «Hahn Liquors?» The bottles are all warm there. The beer selection is also good. You can get Great Lakes Brewing Co. beer here, Dogfish Head, Anchor beers, and a reasonable selection of international beers like Sam Smith’s. The German selection is a little disappointing, however.
