Evan is the cat’s meow! I’m not usually a die hard fan of red velvet because I think it’s just trendy without having any distinct taste personality, but I was digging their red velvet minis with the cream cheese frosting. also loved the Boston cream donuts as recommended by Evan. decent coffee, huge donuts compared to what I’m used to.

Huge donuts. Great flavor options. Pure heaven. I love coming here because staff is so friendly every time. I usually get a coffee, and some kind of donut. Glazed are always good. Red velvet, maple bacon, and chocolate are among our favorites. You really can’t go wrong! I’ve order a donut cake from here and it was so cool. So cheap for how big it is. Better than an actual cake in my opinion! Might have to use one for my wedding sweet table :)

I absolutely LOVE Glazed & Infused. My personal favorites are the red velvet, apple fritter and the maple bacon long john. If you’re a doughnut lover, please check this place out. I strongly recommended you get there early to get the best selection. Once an item is gone, it’s gone for the day. Treat yourself to some doughnut goodness at Glazed & Infused.

We stopped in after visiting the fish market across the street. The inside is pretty simple, but still a really cool atmosphere. We took a chocolate dipped and a red velvet to go. I really liked the chocolate. You can tell these are really great donuts. The inside is light and fluffy, the topping was rich and sweet. The staff was nice, we couldn’t really decide what we wanted but they were patient and accommodating with us. The doughnuts come at a hefty price, but this is the West Loop and I’d be scared to eat more than a whole one in a day, anyway. Nice! 4⁄5

It’s soooo good but soooo bad! I had two donuts at 9am and I’m still feeling it in my chest at 5pm. I’ve been drinking water but damn, there’s a lot of sugar in these donuts! I’m serious, it’s REALLY sweet. You can feel the sugar crystals grind in your teeth slowly eating your enamel. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it. You can get the old fashion everyone and that’s okay. If you like variety, they have a nice set of heart-attacking goodness. Another plus is the nice service and clean dining area. Downsides are that it’ll kill your wallet and every time I’ve eaten it, I fear the diabetes that runs in my family.

Really nice staff who bore with me while I agonized over which donut to get. The selection is mouth watering and you really have a hard time deciding if you’re indecisive. Donuts are $ 2-$ 3 each and are HUGE. I ended up with plain vanilla which was really good. The crusty frosting was delicious and flaky. The inside was very light and airy and definitely was more cakelike than I was used to having. Something I really liked was that the cake portion wasn’t too sweet. Definitely going to try some of the other options the next time I come — the one with the bacon and maple was calling my name. There’s an eating area in the back and also a small patio.

The staff at Glazed & Infused are extremely nice. I am always asking for the newest donut, most popular, etc. and they always take the time to answer my questions. It is the perfect place to get a celebratory couple of donuts before heading to the office.

Darn. came here around 3pm on a Friday and all was left was the bacon maple, vanilla bean and old fashioned… got all three and in the order above is bestest to best. The bacon maple had a strong maple taste w/a bit of saltiness from the bacon. Add a pumpkin spice latte and youre all set. The other 2 doughnuts were just ok.

Came here to try a donut, and by around 1 pm, they were already sold out on so many flavors! I ended up only getting an apple cider donut as they had nothing I wanted. The donut was like an old fashioned but with apple bits and glaze on top. It was delicious and doughy, but I don’t understand how it tastes like apple cider(it just tastes like apple). Other than that, it was very filling and heavy. Too bad I can’t come back to try the other flavors!

I literally wandered into the shop while waiting for a seat at the Publican for brunch. I was lured in by the sweet smell of donuts on the street, from whenever people opened and closed the door. I went inside, and let me tell you, the donuts here are HUGE! And the entire shop just smells amazing. I ended up getting the maple bacon long john and the vanilla bean glazed donuts. That vanilla bean glazed donut was perfect. It was airy inside, and the vanilla bean made the glaze special. It looks plain, but vanilla is one of my favorite flavors(so don’t you ever dare say«plain as vanilla» in front of me). The long john was really good too. Very maple-y, but the bacon was perfectly salty and actually very spice-y. Spice-y is different from spicy, fyi. The former means that they seasoned the bacon with spices, which gave the donut a different dimension, while the latter means the usual. It was a great find, and ended up being a great snack on my way to the airport later that day lol

I’d been to another Glazed & Infused location the last time I was in Chicago. This one was just as good with just as friendly service. Unfortunately they were all out of their famous maple bacon, but it was noon on a Saturday so I wasn’t too surprised. The guy working there was very nice and said that if you call ahead and say how many you want, they’ll hold them for you! That’s really cool.

I like temptation but… those doughnuts are SCARY! Huge empty carbs. I don’t bother with the price. Clean divey place. COFFEE — a specialty blend from Sparrow that will be drowned by whipped cream that is suggested but never added. It’s actually a clean brew, NO unnecessary add-ins. Good fancy Seda coffee lid that turns to the left and right to avoid spillage. HONEYPACKETS — one of the good things in here. SERVICE /STAFF — another good thing here. Very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Carbs and Calories galore!

Been in Chicago this May and I simply fell in love with this place. Definately best donuts in town. I must say, they are not cheap(2,5/3 dollars each) but they are very big and worthy for sure. A must go for every donut lover!

These donuts are GINORMOUS. We stopped in at about 11:30 Friday 9⁄18 to check out G&I as I was in visiting Chicago and I can honestly say if I lived near by and they suddenly became calorie free, I would be in there every day. They were so tasty and fresh and classic. A few of the flavors were already sold out but there were plenty left to choose from. We got the vanilla bean which was light and melted away into calorie heaven in your mouth. Old fashioned raspberry was my fav. the old fashioned is more dense and cakey but moist and delicious, but the raspberry glaze was tangy yet sweet and full of raspberry flavor. The chocolate icing with the little chocolate and white chocolate curls was so tasty and so pretty. my second fav. was the maple glazed bacon. This donut is like 6 – 7 inches long with a beautifully cooked piece of thick cut bacon adorning it. We cut that bad boy into 3 and it was still the size of a normal size donut. I do have to say that they were a bit expensive in my opinion 4 donuts were about $ 12(+ tip). You can definitely tell that a lot of care and love goes into making these donuts. It was a great experience and I’m so glad I got to stop in and experience G&I and will def. try stop back in next time I’m in Chicago!

If 4.5 were only an option. I’ve been at G&I 7 – 8 times(usually how many times I frequent a place before leaving a review). The red velvet is absolutely money. The cream cheese frosting is killer. Possibly my favorite donut ever. The old fashion is heavy and dense and rivals any other out there. The vanilla bean is on point. Fluffy and the perfect vanilla taste. Not overpowering. The other donuts are good and very well done but just aren’t my forte. I give a 4(real vote is 4.5) because the coffee is way off of par and the donuts at time can be a bit inconsistent.(Ex. Cream cheese frosting sometimes is heavy and very cream cheese and other times much lighter and fluffier). All in all. I continue to take people back here when they come in town. If they like fancy donuts, you can’t go wrong.

If you want your choice of donut flavors, be sure to come early. I came in around 1pm on a Saturday, and they were already mostly sold out of the popular flavors(bummer… I really wanted to try the Maple bacon). By the time I left around 2pm, only about a third of those varieties were left. They had samples of their PB&J and chocolate donuts when I went. The PB&J was a wonderful combination of sweet and salty — definitely not a taste I’m used to having in donuts. :D They also have a(limited) selection of mini-donuts that go really fast. I got a mini apple fritter and really enjoyed it. The donuts here are really big(I think you can even order a birthday donut cake, haha). There is free, reliable wifi. It’s a good café to sit at to do work, but the lighting is a bit dim. No bathroom either, so you have to go next door.

I like donuts, especially gourmet donuts. The donuts here are creative and large. 1 star off: They look delicious, but I think they look better than they taste. After eating one, you feel more of a sugar rush than anything else. 1 star off: $ 4 for a donut, really? These are donuts that you post on Facebook so people can get jealous of you, but not really donuts that satisfy a craving.

Glazed and Infused is a Chicago staple in many circles. I’ve lived in Chi for about a year and half and decided it was time to get out of bed and take a stroll over to their flagship store on the Fulton Market. Right off the bat I liked that there weren’t 100’s of choices but rather a decent selection of very large, very eye appealing donuts. One thing I respect is the craftsmanship that was obvious on every donut in the display case. By this I mean that when they were topped they clearly made the effort to create some consistency and tact. The store is simple, the staff is friendly, and there is even a couple of seats on the sidewalk if winter ever ends. This morning I went with the peanut butter bismarck. The frosted top with tiny peanuts was in every bite. The peanut butter filling was to die for. The donut itself was very tasty, not to oily, spongy, or anything like the frozen donuts out of box IE: your dunkin run of the mill. I will definitely come back again and try something new. I think this is the kind of place where you really have to keep working through the flavors and find that special donut. But I would certainly recommend giving it a try if you’ve never been.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time. I travel for work so I took a 10 minute side stop to grab a bite. This week they are promoting free donut holes and coffee. I stopped in, but wanted to use the bathroom first since I was on the road for almost two hours. The lady was disappointed to say they don’t have public bathrooms! I was a bit upset about that especially when I’m about to give them my business, but oh well. This won’t be a spot I would stop by again. It’s kinda of like been there, done that! Although, the neighborhood is pretty industrial and has wanderers so I can understand how they don’t allow public bathrooms, but if your’re a paying customer, I don’t understand why not. Anyways, I got the Maple Bacon Long John. Ever since my friend took a picture, I have been dying to try it. It was good, the sweet and salty mix had a nice flavor to it. The bacon had a hint of spice to it but still enough to give it a kick. That was quite a surprise! I also got the Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Almond which I actually liked better. The chocolate was very rich and lots of almonds! The only dislike was that the dough is a bit thick for my tasting. I prefer the lightness of D&D better. Lastly, just those two donuts cost me over $ 6! I was like WTF! They were good, but not $ 6 good! The free coffee was okay, but I’m sure they have better coffee options since they probably sampled their regular coffee. They also gave me three free donut holes. I ate the chocolate covered one which had a nice twist than the other plain chocolate and glazed, but they were all good. Overall, I like the creativity of each donut, but I’m not sure if I would head out of my way to stop here again. Like I said before, I tried it and that’s that. Another thing to note, the location is not the best for drivers. It’s located in Fulton Market which I’m not too familiar with, but the area is very grungy, industrial, and the parking is hard. You also have to be careful of men on fork lifts because they will come out of nowhere! If you have to walk, the streets are filled with a bunch of crap from the factories. Not the best place for a young woman like me!

I’ve tried an embarrassing number of doughnuts on Glazed & Infused’s menu, and I’ve yet to be let down. The doughnuts are sweet, but not cloying, and always fresh. The selection ranges from staples, like fruit fritters and old fashioneds, to more exotic and decadent types, like maple bacon long johns, red velvet and crème brûlée. They rotate flavors frequently and have a seasonal menu that includes apple cider in the fall, gingerbread old fashioned in the winter and passion fruit pistachio in the spring and summer. My family are G&I loyalists. I have a soft spot for the apple fritter. It’s simple, but it brings together fruit and fried dough in the best way possible. It’s also almost as big as my face. And whenever I visit my mom in the suburbs, I have to bring a box of maple bacon long johns with… or else. The prices are higher than the average doughnut shop or grocery store, but the portions are generous(and I don’t know of too many places that sell a caramel pumpkin pecan doughnut). Most importantly, if you show your ID with DOB on your birthday, you get a free doughnut of your choice. The only downside is having to choose just one.
