I want to give you a brief description on what happen to us so that we can warn anyone else out there that might fall victim under the same circumstances. We purchased a new home in Morton Grove that needed a lot of updating. We used a lot of the recommendations off the NextDoor site to obtain quotes. We contacted Get Color Inc. b/c he came recommended as a painter. When Ares came to take a look at the project, we handed us a paper that listed all the things he could do(outside of painting). This was an answered prayer, or so we thought! Finally, someone who can serve as a GC on the project and do a lot of the work himself. He was great, took notes on all the things we wanted quoted(mind you he was the only contractor who took notes that day on our project list so that gained him points) and had photos of previous projects he had completed to show us floors installed, bathroom and kitchen remodels, etc. He seemed to know what he was talking about and answered all our questions w/out hesitation so we hired Ares to do the project. In the bathroom he did a demo to the studs. While doing this, he ruined our windowsill. Accidents happen, we brushed this off. He installed a stone medallion floor in our foyer that was not level despite the numerous conversations regarding this. He installed crown molding that looks like a 5yr old installed with an automatic riffle and nails. We had to have him remove the foyer floor; my husband has now spent a good 8+ hours scrapping the mortar off the tiles trying to salvage the $ 1000 we spent on these tiles. The crown molding will need to be removed, patched and repurchased and all the contractors we’ve brought in this second time around have told us any of the other things Ares did while working on our home is not done correctly. To top this all off, he was changing contracts as we progressed(b/c we added and subtracted things to the project list) and acting as if these were the original contracts. He even told my husband«just through away those old contracts. You don’t need all that paper». We aren’t that naïve. We saved every emailed contract that was sent to us. Get Color Inc is a complete hack. Doesn’t know how to execute any of the services he claims to be an expert at. The funny thing is that we didn’t even hire him for the painting project, which if I had to guess, is really the only job he might be qualified to perform. We hate to give such an awful review but we would also hate for any of our neighbors to go through the same ordeal. We hope this review is helpful to you all.

You will not find a more professional and pleasant contractor than Ares Acosta at Get Color Inc. In the past 7 years, I have hired Get Color for multiple projects in my home ranging from painting & plumbing to my most recent project– a complete kitchen remodel which included demolotion & installation of new cabinets, plumbing electrical, wall tile & floors. I absolutely love my new kitchen! Get Color’s work is meticulous and reasonably priced. And Ares hires excellent subcontractors that are professional and affordable. I highly recommend that you hire Get Color for your next painting, remodeling or renovation project– you will not be disappointed.
