Galeria CTR

If you are looking for a great consignment store, get to Galeria CTR! My husband and I love going through consignment shops to parooz. I was surprised how much of a selection Galeria CTR has. When we were there about a week or two ago they had a lot of beautiful furniture — dressers, side tables, couches, kitchen tables, mirrors… you name it! Plus, there were so many interesting nic nacs, gizmos, trinkets, and home furnishing decorations. Everything there was quality. We left with a gorgeous vintage frame that we put one of our wedding photos in and gave to our best friend as a gift. I was so torn giving the frame away because it was such a great find, but our friend still gushes over it. Thanks Galeria CTR! The sweetest shop owners, too!

This place is cute.
So I’m in the market for a new desk. Mine is old, gnarly, cheap, warped and quite honestly just doesn’t «go» with my apartment. I’m thinking something vintage and/​or repurposed could be a cool option. I had randomly come across Galeria CTR’s Facebook page, found out that they’re a hop/​skip away from me, so I stopped in.
So the shop itself is small and has more knickknacks that actual furniture, which was, you know, whatever. I supposed that based on what they show on their Facebook page, I expected a little more inventory on the furniture front. I liked a few things I saw, but nothing really moved me. And I know you know that furniture has to move you. I will say this, though: If you’re in the market for a 50s diner style kitchen table and chairs, get yourself over to Galeria CTR, like, NOW. They have a super cute set sitting in the store.
Another miss? The hours. Super funky and it seems like they’re never open. Sigh…
