We stopped here after eating at the Indian Restaurant next door for an after dinner drink. We walked in a its a small quaint bar and was very clean inside. We sat at the bar and had a good variety of craft cocktails to choose from. We ordered the Manhattan and it was all down hill from there. The bartender clearly only looked the hipster part but had no idea how to make a drink. Our Manhattans were made completely wrong! He used a shaker and served them in a martini glass; so they were very watered down and not very good. The bar at this time was starting to fill up with a large group of friends who essentially took over the bar and made us feel uncomfortable. There was rap music playing and the Bulls game on at this time. The owner did offer to remake our cocktails after we mentioned something but all we wanted to do was leave. I wouldn’t really recommend coming here to anyone unless you desperately need anyone drink after dinner!

I really love the friendly and inciting atmosphere that carries over into the service. I come for the food and stay for the great specials! We come here for drinks, dinner and fun! I especially dig the art

Great date night destination! The chef makes creative dishes every Wednesday, paired with half-off wine bottles. Service is always on point. But what makes this spot unique is the incredible art work in rotation. Try the tuna chips, the ceviche, and whatever is on special. I’ve even ordered their food late night for delivery.

We bumped into this place almost by accident. We were positively surprised. Below are some reasons why: — price per quality — ex: well vodka is Ketel and it is $ 5 during happy hour… beat that — service — unquestionable hospitality with honesty on what is good and recommended — atmosphere — very welcoming atmosphere and flexible music. The décor is very unique and I appreciate the clear investment they have made into the Chicago culture. All in all, I am very happy of the decision to spend my friends birthday here. I will definitely be coming back for this. Perhaps one day for the food and wine pairing event which they are amazing at!

Clearly, most of the reviews below are fake. This place is BEYOND pathetic – it’s always empty, the owner begs people on the street to come in for«free shots», and the décor looks like a weird mash-up of Hot Topic and a student art show. Also, there’s no kitchen in back, so I’m not quite sure how they’re cranking out all this haute cuisine that everyone’s raving about below. Tuna on tortilla chips… yum?! Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs – unless you want to a) drink alone, b) eat bad food while drinking alone, or c) eat bad food while drinking alone and having your senses assaulted by lots and lots of red pleather, fake graffiti, and paintings the owner probably scooped-up at Taste of Arlington Heights.

I feel like this bar is still trying to figure out what it wants to be… chic cocktail bar or another LP party spot. If they gear it back towards nice cocktail bar I think it will improve. First of all, they have great cocktail list and the drinks we tried everyone liked. HOWEVER, they serve nice cocktails in little plastic cups! Who ever heard of an old fashioned in a plastic cup? If I’m paying $ 10 for a drink(which I think is a good price for nice cocktails), it shouldn’t come in a plastic cup. I also asked for a glass of water at one point and was given a little styrofoam cup, so weird! The setup of the bar is a little odd in that they have one huge banquet table and then like two high tops. It seems so odd that they have a full menu and those are the only tables in the whole place. If you want it more like a cocktail lounge where you can have app’s etc I would think you’d want more tables. The music they were playing was also hard to read for the atmosphere. We were there on a Friday night and all the sudden it just kept getting louder and louder that we were all shouting just to hear each other a foot away. They brought in a DJ, the bar was not crowded, people weren’t dancing, everyone just seemed to be trying to socialize. So why are you blasting 90’s hip hop jams so loud that people can’t even speak to each other, which you would think is the vibe you are going for at a «lounge». So yeah, liked the drinks, but this place needs to make some changes to be anything like a good cocktail bar.

Great experience at Four Star lounge(more appropriately named would be 5-star, but I like the Chicago reference). We went on a Sunday evening & it was sadly empty. so I wanted to write a review to spread the word about how great this new place is! The environment is really nice & trendy looking. I think the fact that the windows are frosted & you can’t see inside might hurt the curb appeal– people like to see inside of places. Regardless, that shouldn’t stop you. We started off with the Ahi Tuna Chips and Habanero Guacamole. Both tasted extremely fresh & delicious. Both are def worth getting, but the ahi tuna will be a go-to in my book. I got the chipotle chopped salad — a slightly different flavor than most chipotle. It seemed a bit smokier to me — very good! But even better was my boyfriend’s diced vegetable salad. It sounds so simple, but it was super fresh and delicious! Lots of the menu items seem like healthy options that do not lack in taste. We didn’t order drinks, but they sounded good. Highly recommend trying this new place out! We will be back :)

We had a wonderful evening here! Bartender Josh crafted some great drinks from the menu and was fun and engaging. We ate delicious cuisine from the Tandoor Char House down the street, owned by the same group. A fantastic experience overall. Try both!

Took some out of town guests here after eating a delicious meal down the street at Tandoor. I never realized what kind of drinkers my wifes family really were! Man they could really pack them in! thankfully these guys really did a great job! awesome cocktails, delicious deserts, shots, all in a cool urban lounge. the artwork is a bit pricey, 30k for some painting on the wall! All around great spot, great for after dinner drinks and desert not to many LP bro’s to deal with

We found this place by accident when Kingston Mines was packed. The free shot sign helps. I love this bar because of the chill atmosphere, 90s playlist, and it’s fairly empty which is probably not good for business but I hate crowds. The owner was so gracious and really wanted us to enjoy our experience. The pepino cocktail we had was missing a little something at first and they fixed it right away. I suggested a chili powder rim. Also, the store front seems a little stand off ish. Otherwise, I’m hopeful for this spot.

We have been here a handful of times. Chic but not pretentious. Great cocktails, reasonably priced. This has quickly become our go-to joint!

Came into four star lounge with a group of 8 and had a great start to finish experience. From perfectly crafted cocktails to delicious desserts everything on the menu was to die for. The vibe was laid back with great music. Finally, the host was super friendly and made us feel like the bar was our place. Four star should be at the top of your list if it isn’t already!

Four Star Lounge was the bar you want it to be. The owners made it so comfortable that you would think you were at your hometown corner bar. The food was AMAZING and the bartenders could make a drink with flavor but not hurt your pocket book! I enjoyed the grilled veggies that came with my meal so much better than your average chips or fries. There is nothing average about this place. Everything from the staff to the ambiance is CLASS without saying!

Four Star Lounge is polished but not pretentious. The new owners took over the old Solstice Bar location. It’s totally fresh and ultra hip. They changed the whole vibe of the place from the interior art, music, drinks, and food. Love the marble bar and mirror backsplash wall. The drinks are awesome! They are doing everything Chicago based and influenced. From the beers on draft to all the specialty cocktails named after a Chicago neighborhoods. The well is all mid shelf liquor. With types of liquor like Kettle One Vodka, Beefeater Gin, and Jack Daniels Whiskey. All the specialty cocktails are all made with top shelf liquors such as Bookers and Grey Goose. The drinks are made with overly generous pours and specialty’s are all $ 10! My favorites are the Uptown Sidecar and Boystown Breeze(it comes with a little man ice cube!). They have Goose Island on draft and even a draft beer from Pilsen. The best thing on the food menu are the Ahi Tuna Chips. You have to try them! Nothing is better! Most of all the food is healthy and not deep fried. They have amazing meat and cheese trays; all Midwest local. Other things that I love food wise are the scallop ceviche, chicken prosciutto sandwich, and the red velvet cake. It’s definitely a place worthy of checking out. All the staff members are friendly and accommodating. This place is where you want to be on a happening night in Chicago!

This is a great spot to get appetizers and drinks before a dinner n the area or after dinner drinks. I love the names of all the drinks, as they all have some sort of tie to Chicago. The appetizer selection included some unique choices, all very tasty, The guacamole was really good! The noise level is perfect so this is a great place to actually have a conversation with someone. The service was good and the bartender was friendly. I They should really call this place 5 star lounge :)

Four Star has it all– creative cocktails, delicious food, and an attentive and friendly staff. What makes it stand out? Local art and midwestern based brewery and distillery options, only two tvs– enough to catch an important game, but not enough to steal the show, and a perfect balance between bar food and healthy menu items… regardless, everything is freshly prepared. I haven’t had anything here I haven’t liked. This place is great for a group or date night. I love what the owners have done with the place– you can tell they really care about the business and their customers. I’m planning on making this a regular stop!

This is a great new restaurant/bar in Lincoln Park! They have a nice cocktail list with fun, Chicago themed drink names. I tried the Lincoln Park Fashioned, Wrigleyville Island, and Wicker Park Mule, which were all delicious. My friends also enjoyed the River North Cosmo and Chicago Spring. We were very pleased with the food items we ordered as well. The watermelon bites, sausage skewers, ahi tuna chips, bruschetta, and pineapple mango guacamole were all fantastic and very shareable for a group. However, my favorite item was the scallop ceviche — simply delicious! They’re on GrubHub, so I will certainly be getting the scallop ceviche delivered in the very near future. The atmosphere is polished but casual and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back for more awesome food and drinks at Four Star Lounge!

This is a cool spot in the area for a pre or post dinner cocktail! Their dinner menu looks great as well(it’s run by the same owners of Tandoor down the street). They have a cool Chicago concept with awesome local artwork throughout the space. There is a great selection of cocktails, beers, and they plan to have a local brewery fill their taps. They also have a couple of flat screens, but it does not take away from the overall vibe. It’s still in it’s soft launch, but their grand opening is April 3rd. It was cool to get a sneak peek of the place and my boyfriend and I will definitely be stopping by for dinner and(more) drinks soon!
