Seriously, they should fire all the staff. All rude and unintelligent«gangbanger» attitudes working here. Messed up my order and had an attitude when I asked for a correction(not even gonna go into detail on this). Burger was good but made sloppy. Bun was ripped, like really? I think from now on I will just go to a different location — its just unfortunate this one is the closest to my residence.

Five Guys is my favorite burger place. Nobody can beat them. Great burgers and fries and their hot dogs are’t bad either.

I loved Five Guys. I was super excited that there was one near a shoot I was doing, and I made it a point to swing in there and grab a burger. I looked a little bizarre for a photo shoot I did, but thought that shouldn’t matter. After this experience I will never return to this Five Guys. I told them I was ready, they sat there for a couple minutes(no one was in line before me), and then say«what do you want.» I must have gotten more eye rolls from this guy than a 15 year old chick who’s on Maury. They then start to prepare my food, laughing and staring at me as they did. Finally my food is ready, and the forgot the fries. I ask them nicely to check on the fries and the guy tells me I never ordered any. I told him«yes, I am positive I ordered some.» He rolls his eyes and meanly says«so you want some or what?» I say, «yes, I do. That is what I ordered. Thanks.» He says something to his coworker, walks in the back room, then comes out to cook my fries. I am SUPER nervous at this point. I have seen way too many comedies to know how this is going. He tossed me my food and I left. I ended up tossing most of it cause all I could think about was him touching something nasty and then touching my fries. These people don’t care about their jobs, so they don’t care about your food. If you don’t want to risk getting a pube or butt smudge on your food, stay away form this place. I get better service at Mcdonalds.

Wow! Horrible service… Screwed up two of our orders then worker told us to swap burgers and scrape toppings off one of them. Really? They weren’t even busy. Now I know why.

Yeah they are bad… Zero attention to detail. Twice in a row they have completely messed up my order. Like not even close. Too busy trying to close up than focus on what the customer a usually ordered. They would be better if they were half the price but they market themselves as gourmet so you got to produce the goods, it’s really expensive. Clarke and Fullerton venue. No thanks, head to ‘Butcher and the Burger’ on Armitage for a far superior burger.

This place is so disappointing! I hate to write a review like this because the service people are very nice, but the food is so terrible and the price is so high! Look: a hamburg is about $ 7, a cheese burger is more expensive. My mouth dropped when I walked into the door and saw the menu prices. I was expecting a price more like than of M Burger: around $ 3 or $ 4. Then, the real blow came. My hamburg tasted awful. The patties were so dry it hurt my throat to swallow it. Besides, it had no taste. I had to get two little patches of salt to sprinkle over them. The fries were dry too. You only want to eat them when you soak them in ketchup. Good fries don’t need ketchup. We ended up throwing all the fries. I walked out of the door, wondering why this place is in business. McDonalds have better fries. Are they just having a bad day?

Great friendly service, quick and cheap burgers that taste delicious too! I always go for a cheeseburger with ketchup(keep it simple) and a small Cajun fries.

Great place for a quick burger fix, sure you can get fancy and hit au chevel or u naming Burger but for a hit the spot, burger this never disappoints. For me I love that the standard toppings are anything but, they make my burger with everything I could ask for and just like Al’s beef the hand cut fresh fries and perfect!

Five guys is one of those places that everyone likes because it is a bit better than the average burger and fry place. The burger is tasty and so are the fries but a meal(burger fries and a coke) is about 14.00 $. Think about that, 14.00 $… that is the same price for a burger, fries and a coke at Kuma’s or Lockdown and their food dwarfs Five Guys. If they were a bit less concerned with gouging their customers on price I would give them 4 stars easy, but they know they have a slightly better product than most so they overcharge for it. Luckily for them Lincoln Park is saturated with places that are not only overpriced but also suck, so since their food doesn’t suck they clean house.

Five Guys has always has a reliable«good eats» burger! But this is not the reason for my review. My review is specifically for the guys working at this location. Probably one of the most friendliest staffs at a chain causal restaurant I have EVER had the pleasure to experience. It was my boyfriend’s first time ever having Five Guys and they had us both laughing hysterically. They were all cracking jokes to one another and having a great time with each other, which of course in turn, makes every customer have a great time! They were just genuinely happy people! And we left with smiles on our faces!!!

Basic Five Guys. Not much different than the other locations I have been to. The difference is that this location was a little dirty but it is the city. It’s a busy location. The food was good and came out fast.

I wish there was one closer to me. I love this burger. This is exactly what i want from a fast food style burger. Classic, sloppy, greasy but fresh all at the same time. The fries are ok, but nothing special to me. Also, i wish the burger was just a buck or 2 less. It would be easier to justify. But it won’t stop me. I know it’s a national chain, but I don’t care. Five Guys is possibly one of my favorite burgers in town.

You already know the general details – big, messy, drippy burger, big old mess of fries, cool drink machine with too many choices, high price tag, blah blah blah. You know this. Now here’s why you need to go to THIS Five Guys. The employees here are just so friendly and cheerful you’ll end up standing around chatting with them. And it’s so clean it smells like cleanser.

Came here just for some cajun fries. Upon first taste, I just thought it was ok. As I ate some more, it got a little better but nothing that I would return back to this Five Guys for. It was also dead empty on a Sat night at 8:30pm. But kudos for the guys working cuz they were very animated and seemed like they were having fun making our food, lol!

Five guys strikes me a great compromise between the all-too-familiar fast food burger joints, and the $ 12.00 gastropub burgers. Price-wise, it’s right in between. For $ 6.49 at a Wendy’s, you probably get the whole meal with fries and drink. Here, you get a two-patty half-pounder which included your choice of many toppings or condiments. But everything else is «a la carte.» Two of these big burgers, a shared large order of fries and two bottled waters ran about $ 23.00. Not too bad, but I was expecting less than $ 10.00 per person, not knowing what else to expect. The place is clean. The staff is friendly, and the service not so fast. That said, the burgers and fries were very old-fashioned delicious. With this style of burger, there is no deciding on rare to well-done. They’re just all prepared the same way, as they would have been in an old burger joint. There is the choice of a ¼ pound burger, too. But I think I’d always want that half-pounder myself. All the topping choices add some fun to the experience, not to mention the flavor of the burger. We were topping piggies. We pounded down those burgers in that no-frills eat off the wrapper ambiance, wiped our mouths with the single paper napkins, and savored the fresh and tasty fries dipped in ketchup. Definitely a 7 or 8 on a your 0 to 10 burger scale. Also a good casual burger stop and a nice little quick escape at Fullerton and Clark.

I really love Five Guys. My first time was in Green Bay. Then they told me that I can find those guys here in Chicago. I didn’t actively search for them but when we were done with our appointment and searching for a joint to grab a late lunch, Five Guys caught my eye. My sister and I had the little cheeseburger and Cajun fries to share. I asked the lady at the counter if the Cajun seasoning was spicy hot and she said no. Don’t get me wrong, I love hot foods but my sister doesn’t. So her first bite of fry and she was airing out her mouth. It’s a little spicy I would say so if you don’t care for spicy fries, stick with the regular fries. Burger was juicy and delicious although I’m not fond of the chopped onions, I prefer rings. It’s all good though. Great tasting food, reasonably priced and pretty fast for fresh cooked. I’ll be back for sure!
