Fiesta Mexican Grill

I’m being a little generous, but:
As a vegetarian, my cactus gortita and veggies tacos were very good. I noticed that a lot of the negative reviews on here are due to the meat quality, I don’t eat meat, so I’m ok with that. My biggest complaint has to be the delivery service. My food was well over an hour late. After contacting grub hub I was able to work out the situation. Good vegetarian food, poor delivery service.

Worst Mexican food I ever had, I order a delivery through grubhub that was my dinner but the next day I felt like I was dying my stomach was killing me in a nutshell never order anything from here !!!

This place is just awful and I feel bad about that because when I ordered delivery from them through Grubhub the driver was very nice and apologetic. Having said that, for a Mexican restaurant they make some of the strangest choices I’ve ever come across.
1. Their quesadilla turned out to be a chick roll-​up loaded with nothing but neon yellow jalapeño cheese sauce.
2. Their rice and salad taste of ginger, which is extremely odd. It’s almost as if they took it from a next door Chinese restaurant. The rice was 100%, for sure, sticky rice and even had sesame seeds on top!
3. Grubhub said delivery was going to take 30 – 40 minutes and the food didn’t show up until an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered and the food was room temperature when it arrived. Not good when you’re ordering at 11pm.
4. What they call «salsa» is nothing more than plain ol’ hot sauce.
5. When I ordered, they didn’t even get the items right! They messed up 3 things but by that point it was nearly 1:30am and I didn’t feel like even trying to get it fixed.
The point is, don’t order from this place… ever.

The worst food ever! The carne asada was more like a slab of fat and the horchata was like drinking the end of a cinnamon bottle! How can you mess that up being a Mexican reateraunt! Did love the flan came in a sushi container I’m afraid to even eat that! FAIL!!!

WORST-​TACOS-​EVER! avoid!
you are better off walking an extra mile than going to this place. we ordered steak tacos, the meat had no flavor and they add this sweet sauce that makes the tacos taste like candy.

Poor customer service!!! I advise you not to use this place for delivery. I called to check 15 minutes after the estimated delivery time, I was told «10 more minutes.» It took another 40 minutes, but between then i kept trying to call and they just sent me to vm. It took 2 hours to receive my food. When the delivery came i told him to reach his manager because I didn’t want to pay for cold food. The delivery man just said ok and left. NEVER AGAIN!

I will tell every person I meet not to eat here.
I was told delivery would take an hour and a half. After 2 hours I called and was told it would be 15 min. After another 30 min I called again and was told the driver just left and the manager would call me after his shift to give me a discount.
So three hours after ordering, my food finally arrives and the order is incorrect. I call and the manager on duty says its my fault the order isn’t right and he hangs up on me.
It took all the strength I had not to drive over there and…
The food isn’t bad but its not worth the disrespect

Horrible experience all around. We were told that delivery would be in 30 – 45 minutes. An hour and a half later we still didn’t have our food. We called twice to check status and indicate our displeasure — they offered nothing to make it right. So much for any plans we had for the evening. We were already out everything we paid.
Once the driver did arrive, he refused to come to the apartment, saying that it did not exist. He couldn’t be bothered to go through one more door.
Because they took so long to get to us, the food was cold. We ordered a chicken burrito, a veggie burrito, and guacamole. The chicken burrito, chips, and guacamole were tasty. The veggie burrito was GROSS! Rather than your normal lettuce, onions, tomatoes, rice and beans it was broccoli, carrots, tofu, and rice. I was entirely disgusted. When it is that much of a departure from a regular burrito, there should be some kind of description/​warning.
We will never order from these guys again. So disappointed.

The first time I ordered from Mexican Grill on Grubhub, my food was only 30 minutes late from the promised time (1.5 hours total), but I thought it was delicious.
I decided to give them another whirl, and it took 3 hours for my food to finally arrive. Someone from the restaurant did give me a call, but acted like it was my fault. None the less, when the food got here, it was cold.
It gets 3 stars because the food is tasty. I would rather try this place in person than get a delivery.

The bad news? It took 2 hours to get delivered. The good news? I have now seen greasy guacamole, which I wasn’t aware was a thing. The service was terrible, and the food was a complete mess, avoid this place at all costs.

Ordered from here on grubhub… the order came over 3o minutes late, I called the restaurant to ask them what the deal was and the woman on the phone said, «It’s on it’s way.» and then hung up on me. When the driver finally came with my cold and dry food, he didnt apologize or anything, he was kinda a jerk. He called me to tell me he was here, I buzzed him in and he told me he was still in his car. Terrible customer service… food was NOT impressive and not worth the weight… guacamole may be from the plastic packet at COStCo… blah. don’t do it, there are too many other Mexican restaurant gems in the city.

This was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever ordered in Chicago! I ordered the nachos and asked her specifically if there was meat on the nachos. I was told, «no, no meat at all.» it arrived covered in meat and very strange, with some sort of orange spicy sour cream. I had no real substance to the dish, it was 1 pound of chips with very little toppings. Ugh, I’m looking at it now and just want to throw it away!
6hours later: I have the worst case of food poisoning EVER!

I used stupid grubhub instead of Unilocal and ordered from this place. I cancelled the order when they still weren’t here after an hour and 45 mins.
I actually called them at about the 1:15 mark and they said the driver had just left :15 mins prior. That means even if they were JUST about to be here when I cancelled the order at 1:45, the food would’ve been out on the road for 45 minutes. Lol blah. This place probably gonna be outta business soon.

Ordered delivery from here through grub hub, late on a Saturday night. They said it would take over an hour to arrive and it ended up taking an hour and a half. Disappointing long wait!
Good news is that the veggie burrito did actually some tasty veggies in it, not just onions and lettuce.

Food has taken over 2 hours to get here. Not sure how it’s possible for them to be so consistently late. Avoid.

Oh, Unilocal.How I trust thee with my every life decision.
Lick your pencil and mark this down: I’m not a big complainer. In fact, I don’t complain, period. But! This place made me put on my «WTF were you thinking dress» and now I feel like dancin’. I just ordered from this place without reading Unilocal reviews (my first mistake). It wasn’t until time was encroaching upon its second hour since placing my order to arrive that I decided to see what others were saying.
Boy, was not looking at Unilocal beforehand a crucial error! Michelle M.‘s order took 90 minutes. Mine took exactly 1 hour and 48 minutes.
Erin J. got a cold steak and congealed cheese. My order came looking just as delicious… although twice as confusing. The food itself? Withered green beans, broccoli and carrots on my nachos with no cheese. Conceptually, this is a decent idea given I’m a vegetarian. But uh, I’m going to put a third tally mark in the «FAIL» section. Nachos without cheese isn’t nachos… it’s chips with stuff on it. Just in case you’re wondering.
Alex T. gave a glowing shout out to their customer service. I’m going to go ahead and send the jury home on that one by saying all I got during the few phone calls I made to check on status was the restaurant’s voicemail. Fun stuff.
I’m pretty sure dairy goes bad. And I’m pretty sure Fiesta Mexican Grill doesn’t know that. If you’re up for waiting around over 90 minutes for an order that looks like a failed 4^th grade chemistry experiment, go for it. As for me, I’ll be asking Grub Hub if they’ve been hot boxing their cubicles, because I’m not too huge on wasting $ 30 on a dot com practical joke.

I ordered delivery food, was quoted a delivery time of 60 min and did not get my food until 90 min later. I placed my order at like 3pm on a Sunday… you can’t tell me they were busy at this time! I called to complain through Grubhub and they were nice enough to give me a $ 5 off my next order since it took so long.
When I opened up my order, it was of course messed up and missing items and not entrée sized at all. It looked like a dinky side dish. I was supposed to also get plantains, a salad and tortillas in addition to my entrée. I instead got asparagus. Huh?
I called Grubhub again and asked for my money back. Grubhub once again stepped up and gave me a $ 10 coupon off my next order, but the manager at this piece of crap restaurant REFUSED to give me a refund and would only give me $ 3 back to cover the missing items. $ 3 for 3 sides? Kind of ridiculous.
I tried called this place myself to give them a piece of my mind and all the numbers go directly to Grubhub.
NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

It was getting late and my friends and I hadn’t eaten yet, so onto grubhub we went to find something that would work fast, and this was it.
There was a nice selection of food to choose from and I went with the chorizo quesadilla with my friends adding in a grilled steak burrito and a variety of grilled tacos.
Everything hit the spot real well and it came nice and fast. The chorizo had some nice spice to it and the grilled steak burrito didn’t last long between the three of us. The tacos were good, but weren’t at the level of the other food that we ordered, but it was nice that they weren’t in the classic shells that we all think of, but were more in small soft tortillas
this was definitely worth ordering from. Not necessarily the most amazing mexican food one would ever have, but when you’re hungry and jonesing for some mexican food, this will certainly hit the spot

Complete fucking waste of time.
Delivery was a half an hour late, congealed cheese and cold steak. We live two blocks away. I called to complain, but mysteriously… no answer. Never again. Pity too, as they’re so close.

pssst. I’ll let you Unilocalers in on a little secret.
Just between you and me they have the best Huevos Rancheros dish in Chicago. Priced at only $ 4.50 (includes rice, refried beans, 3 slices of avocado, and tortillas), this dish hits the spot when your craving fast Mexican food.
Just don’t tell anyone about our little secret.
