I absolutely love this bar. The bartender there is always super friendly and helpful, they have great specials, as well as great food. It is also a really nice atmosphere if you’re looking for a quiet night.

This update is long overdue. Since my last review there has been a drastic change in service, food, and overall experience. They gave the menu a new face and clearly changed the product they are serving. Still a bit pricey but I don’t mind so much coming here for a quick bite anymore. But why I am really giving this place a 5 star review is for friendly staff. Sam and Ali are my go to bartenders and they always take care of me. They are so friendly and you know when you walk in you’re going to have a drink surrounded by good people and good conversation. They just really care about their customers and when you walk in and become a regular like myself, then it just feels like family. Did I mention happy hour every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday? Yes, please!

The owner and the bartenders are amazingly friendly. They gave us a no bs recommendation of what’s good around here. The food here was great and the patrons here are extremely friendly(despite us wearing our packer gear). I will definitely be be back. The owner and the bartender Ali and Sam were(for a lack of better word) A– mazing. From a guy that’s from out of the area, swing by here! The burgers with a fried egg and the buffalo chicken wrap?;!!! Enough said

I went here last year with my sports team after the season ended. It was a fine place to get together for some drinks as it has a good drink selection, but the food is underwhelming. I had the breakfast sliders and they were really dry. The food here is your typical bar-fare. If you’re in the area and need a drink, this place will get the job done, but I would not recommend eating here unless you have no other option.

So I’ve been here twice. Once was probably 6 years ago and as I recall the food was decent. I came back last night with a friend. Sorta slow for a Friday night which was nice as we could hear ourselves think. Our waiter was actually really pleasant. I’ve read a lot of reviews about rude waitstaff and perhaps they’ve rectified this, because our guy was excellent. He was swift and attentive. Drinks: They have a good bourbon and scotch selection. I decided to go with the scotch. I ordered it on the rocks… So yea, here’s why you’re not getting five stars. The scotch was brought to me in one glass and the ice in another. Cool, I can pick how much ice I want, but they were like ice chips. They literally melted within 2 minutes of me putting them in my scotch if even that long. But wait, here’s the kicker… You ready? THEY.CHARGED.ME.FOR.THE.ICE. Are you serious??? A dollar for ice? Did you get this ice from a nordic spring, freeze it and then bring it to Chicago? Why am I paying a dollar for a cup of ice chips that melt in two seconds. I mean if you want to charge me for something, then bring me a whiskey stone or at least a large cube or sphere of ice. I was nearly on the verge of giving this three stars, but a concert ended while I was there and the place got slammed. I think there was only one waiter, but he handled it marvelously and never lost his good manner. Good experience, good drinks, cute décor, but seriously on the ice. C’mon.

Came here for brunch. Server was rude and seemed annoyed at any request I made. I asked for egg whites for my omlette and was told that was not possible. OK, that’s fine but really? How had is it to separate an egg. I also asked if I could replace my hash browns with toast– I was told«well it comes with hash browns»… I had to ask for no hash browns and order a side of fast for $ 1.50. HA… oh and there’s no whole wheat. If you are just hungry and want a hangover breakfast with a bloody mary– it may be worth a trip. If you are looking for a yummy brunch with options– I“d walk a little further down the street.

We have been here 3 times and had 3 different waiters/waitresses and each time they have been amazing-they really seem to be focused on making sure you have a great time! I highly recommend it for brunch!

I have yet to have better or friendlier servers in Chicago. You can truly tell the mangers focus on customer service here by the way the servers bend their backs for their patrons.

Maybe I was here on an off day, but I stopped in for lunch on Sunday. I ordered a simple Grilled Chicken salad. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked the waitress what the deal was with the salad. No apology, just a flippant«They’re finishing it right now» as she walked away. The waitress was hardly doing the bare minimum. After a few more minutes of waiting, I finally got the salad, which didn’t appear to be the same thing that the menu said(the menu described the salad as having blue cheese, this one had shaved parmesan). Honestly, I could’ve made a better salad at home. I really wish I had better experiences at this place, it’s conveniently close to home.

This was the first spot I visited after landing in Chicago for a first-time visit. My wife and I were walking around the area and spotted this beautiful bar on a street corner. We walked in and could not decide if we wanted to sit inside next to an open window or on the spacious deck. We opted for sitting inside so that I could watch some ESPN on their flat screen over the bar. The drink selection was excellent. They offer several different draft beers including a few locals brews. It was a shame we didn’t visit on a Sunday because the $ 25 mimosa brunch sounds very tempting! I ended up getting an Angus burger with BBQ and bacon and it did not disappoint. I have no negative things to say about this place. I enjoyed it every second and will definitely be coming back if I ever visit Chicago again.

The food is good, and they have a pretty good drink selection, but everything is a bit too overpriced and they wait staff is more interested in talking to each other than actually serving customers.

Food was palatable, waiter was extremely rude and inside was way too loud for 3 in the afternoon. I won’t be coming back

In the heart of Boystown this is a great brunch spot — how can you go wrong with $ 25 bottomless mimosas that ALSOINCLUDE breakfast?! Had the breakfast wrap which was vegetarian and delish! Came with a side of potatoes that weren’t greasy and the skins peeled right off of them — perfection and probably some of the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. The breakfast was $ 9 and my coffee was $ 2.75. My friends opted for the mimosas special so tried the chocolate chip pancakes(very dense they said). In the four hours that we were there they worked themselves through 4 pitchers of mimosas. I’m sure the waitress would have kept bringing them too if they hadn’t told her to stop. So while they’re bottomless they’re not rationing them for you either!

This is a solid, laid back bar in Lakeview. I’ve been here several times and each time had a good experience. Service is good every time. There is always a decent beer selection. This place is especially great because there’s always seats available here even during Bulls/Blackhawks/Bears game. They have specials each night of the week too. Food here is also pretty good. I got a prosciutto pesto pizza that was really good and my bf got a buffalo chicken wrap that was just okay.

Bartenders are angry and wait staff is beyond rude. They price gouged me 5 bucks on 2 drinks. I caught you and you fought me on it. Too bad because location is amazing. Inside is cute

I think it’s very interesting that this place only has three stars on Unilocal, but has 4 stars on Google and 4.2 stars on Facebook. This is the perfect example of a good place that has a bad Unilocal reputation because a few people didn’t like the beer prices or specials. Having just moved to the neighborhood three months ago, my friends and I avoided this place(unfairly) due to the Unilocal reviews. Having exhausted all our options in the area, we decided to take a chance and try this place last night despite it’s reputation online. We were glad we decided to ignore what was written about someone’s burger not being rare enough to be classified as medium rare, or another girl whining about a PBR tall boy being 4 $. My friend and I both agreed that we were shocked at how nice the waiters were, how nice the interior and overall layout of the bar was, and how good the food and beer was given the reviews. We ordered some draft beers, and red wines which came out immediately. My friend ordered the chicken noodle soup, which the chef was in the process of just finishing, so it came out hot and fresh. We decided to split the hummus and vegetable flatbread, per the recommendation of our waitress. Again, very good, very fresh, and very fast service. We will definitely be going back here. Loved the layout of the bar and the wooden tables. Great atmosphere, great staff, and great food.

Met a friend here for drinks and some food. Decent beers on draft. The food was not very good and over-priced. We ordered the fried zucchini sticks appetizer for $ 10. It was a plate with about 10 zucchini sticks and a side of ranch. Appetizers shouldn’t cost more than the burgers. I ordered a burger medium-rare, came out nearly well done. Why bother to ask how I want it cooked? Plain burger is $ 9, I topped it with American cheese — $ 1 and mushrooms $ 0.50. There are a bunch of other toppings you can choose from between $ 0.50 — $ 1.00 per item. Burgers come with either fries or tots, I chose tots. The burger lacked flavor and was just ok. The tots were my favorite actually, they were super crunchy and light at the same time. Other reviewers have made similar comments on the food and I would have to agree the food is below average. Ambiance is pretty laid-back, place to drop in for a drink and move on. Traditional table/chair setups, some high tops and I believe bar seating. Low lighting with small votives on tables. Service was friendly, fast and prompt.

This place is kind of quiet most the time. Is a great place for a chill night, but many times it almost put me to sleep because it to sooo chill. They do have some great specials on each night of the week. The music isn’t that great, but the staff is super friendly.
