Emma Canero

I personally had the opportunity to meet such a great person. She has a naturally eye. I’ve seen her portfolio and I’m truly amazed by the before and after results. She very kind and polite and not pushy at all. If you ever have the need of a makeup artist, don’t hesitate to contact her.

Emma Canero is the makeup artist. Currently she’s still in some makeup school training. I found her on craigslist, and she was very friendly. Her facebook pics showed brides before & after the makeup application, so it was nice to see her effects. Now the bad stuff — She’s incredibly slow, and requests meetings on top of meetings. Its wedding makeup, not permanent makeup to last forever, why all the consultations?! Seems she’s unsecure of herself.
Meeting #1 — meeting to discuss makeup, she doesnt take notes, just talks about *other* people’s makeup, not listening to brides needs. Meeting took 1.5 hrs… would have lasted longer but I cut it short.
Meeting #2 — trial. 2.5 hours! Who has time to sit like that on wedding day?! She uses a variety of makeup, all incredibly heavy and creates a caked-​on look & feel. She recommends dramatic eyelashes, which make most ladies look like trannies. Who wears 1″ inch eyelashes for a wedding?
Then the kicker — she cancels soon before the wedding, and says «best wishes, hope you find someone else». WHY?! Cause she got at job at ULTA! Please people, skip this lady, definitely NOT a makeup artist, very unreliable, insecure, unprofessional.
DO NOT risk any special occassion by going with this person to do your makeup.
