Came in early on a Friday night… since it’s a mere 300 feet from our front door we decided we should try it out. Great beer selection for my beer snob husband(many unique options he says…) and cool cocktail list for me. I like that they do both beer and cocktails well as sometimes that is a hard mix to find. It’s a huge place with a nice lounge space in the back. My favorite part of this place is that it was so unpretentious and all the people we interacted with were very friendly and pleasant. Cocktails $ 10, most beers $ 7. Great place!

Visiting Chicago and decided to bar hop around where I’m staying. Excellent music and one of the most friendly bartenders I’ve experienced in my short drinking life. There’s a patio and pool table, what more can you ask for? Definitely check this place out of you haven’t been. Cheers!

Very few places are 5 stars in my book, this is 4 ½. One of my favorite spots in the city, especially in Tuesday nights. Zane rules and the rest of the staff are always super friendly and attentive to our big group that usually sits in the back. Be sure to check out the juke box as well always good tunes in there

I contacted Easy Bar to set up an open bar package for my birthday. Communication with Ryan was easy and straightforward. The day of, my group was able to take over the outdoor patio and have a server bring us bottomless drinks for three hours. The service was incredible(thank you, Zane! And thank you to the server whose name I forgot.) We had a lot of drink options through the package, and although they don’t serve food there, my hungry, drunk friends were able to pick up food from across the street and eat it at the Easy Bar patio. Even as the bar got crowded around 7 or 8 pm, the service was still great and everyone was really helpful and nice. The package was $ 25/person, including any drinks that are under $ 6. This included well liquor, a ton of craft bottles and cans, and wine. Absolutely worth it. My friends and I had so much fun.

Went here on 22 June around 7PM with my brother. It’s a dark, narrow bar, with some pool tables near the front. I find I don’t get carded very often in Illinois, but the bartender scrutinized the hell out of my Pennsylvania driver’s license and acted as if he was doing me a favor by looking at it. At this particular time, it wasn’t really busy, but it was early on a Monday evening. I had a pint of the Three Floyds Dreadnaught imperial IPA, which ran me $ 7 plus tip — a bit higher than I’m used to, but I suppose it’s Wicker Park.

Easy Bar brings the class of River North to Wicker Park, but leaves behind the pretension. There are a lot of excellent bars in Wicker Park, but this stands out for its dark, classic décor. Not too crowded, even on a weekend, so my friend and I got our drinks right away and just chilled. When you first walk in, I have to say, is kind of a shock. It’s not what you expect given the bars around Easy, but it’s the good kind of surprise!

Wowzers… Plenty of bars on Division in UKV/Wicker have their shit together, so to speak — B&L, B&B, 5050, neighbor Division Ale House, hell, even Fatpour. Rightly so — you kind of have to in order to stay in the bar business these days. This is certainly not one of those joints. I don’t know if all the bartenders were cumulatively having off nights, but the service(or lack thereof) my friends and I received was atrocious! We came here after the Mayweather fight a few weekends ago, because it seemed to be the only joint that had a good vibe but wasn’t too crowded. I could not have been more wrong! We started at the back bar — the bartender seemed to blatantly avoid taking our beer order, serving every other party that walked up to that bar, even after we had arrived. So we said fuck it, we’ll head to the more crowded main bar… This too, went to no avail, as the bartender there was too busy chatting with her barback/co-worker to take care of the three pending orders at the bar. Perhaps our outfits for the evening weren’t «hip» enough? In essence, my two buddies and I spent a waste of a half hour in this mediocre establishment without being served drinks, despite it not being all that crowded at all. With all the other amazing options in this neighborhood, I highly doubt I’ll be returning.

I love easy bar because its just that, an easy place to have a good time. Spot is usually packed or with a nice crowd on an off night but drinks always deliver. Strong and pretty cheap for the area. The strongest manhattan I have ever had. This place does not have food but they do let you bring in food from the street so no worries there.

Hosted my sister’s engagement party here. It was SO easy to book, perfectly priced, so spacious and the staff were extremely accommodating. All drinks were low/reasonably priced for the city.

Love the vibe here. The $ 2/$ 3 draft Tuesday is the best deal on Division St.

We hosted an engagement party in the back room at Easy Bar on Saturday 2÷28÷15 for about 45 people. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, helping us set up snacks and facilitating a champagne toast at the beginning of the night. The wristband/open bar package they were able to provide made everything easy for our guests, and everyone had a great time! We will definitely be coming back, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a low-key, friendly place to host a big group!

FAVORITE bar in the city. Dark, cool even in the summer, 2 tvs(playing movies) great music, lots of space in the back. ambience is awesome. Creative beer selection. I think $ 3 drafts on Tuesdays, be careful it gets out of hand quickly. Great date spot. Service is ok, and priced just right.

Where the livin’ is easy… Great little place. It’s a dive bar, so don’t expect caviar. But the staff is incredibly friendly, the crowd is generally laid-back, and they have really good specials during the week. If you ever need to rent a party room(I’ve done this here twice), they actually don’t charge for the room, and let you bring in outside food, which is unheard of. All you have to do is have your guests purchase a wristband(which was $ 20 bucks for 3 hours of unlimited beer and wine) or pay for that yourself, which would still be cheaper than renting a party room in most other bars in the city. Great customer service by the manager for events as well, they let me hang decorations and everything. As far as the rest of the bar, they have a good selection of craft beer and cocktails, and a menu of «bar food» which is tastier than you’d expect from a small place like this, and also really affordable. There are burger specials during the week as well. They have the standard accoutrement of any other dive bar — pool table, dart board, jukebox, dark back room, retro ’50’s style bartender. Check it out!

Ordered the Marley, which was one of the signature cocktails on the menu. The bartender had to read the menu in order to figure out how to make it, which was an immediate red flag. Sure enough, when it came out, it was bathed in so much lemon juice that it was hard to tell other ingredients were present besides citric acid. The bartender was too busy doing important tasks like texting and changing the music to notice that the only two people sitting at the bar needed another drink for over 15 minutes. So we decided to cut our losses and move on. I liked the ambience, and it was really disappointing to see what was potentially a cool place ruined by apathetic service. Maybe it was just an off day, but we won’t be back to give it a second chance.

Love this little dive!!! This place is very much along the lines of Liar’s Club and Delilah’s. Super dark and loud and FUN! This is in our neighborhood so we pop in and out quite frequently at all different times. Sometimes the place is so packed you can’t move and other times it is nice and chill and you can sit at the bar without being bumped. The staff is always super friendly and the people are typically chill. We were there one night when a pub crawl event of sorts came in… those people were a little d-baggy, but for the most part, it’s a very chill crowd. Would highly suggest this place anyone living or hanging out in the neighborhood.

This place is a great option to hang out and get a good deal on beer during the week. They have a pretty good list and a lot of space considering it is such a narrow room. Complete with a pool table in front and couches in back, it has options of everyone.

This is a great watering hole in the Wicker Park Neighborhood. It attracts a different crowd than some of the other area establishments(read: less douchey) and is just super chill. It doesn’t seem to get overly packed even on weekends. The music is great, beers are cheap, and you can actually carry on a conversation with your drinking buddies. I did find that the last time I came here there was a smell that hit you that when you walk in that I likened to a porta-john, but alas it didn’t deter me and I didn’t notice it throughout the evening. Obviously this isn’t the classiest joint on the block but that’s exactly why I like it.

I chose Easy Bar as the location to celebrate my 23rd birthday because I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday at some place super casual, but I didn’t want to lose my hearing going to a club. Upon arrival, there were 3 white girls haphazardly dancing between the bar and the table. …Aww yeah, it’s going to be that kind of night! I don’t know what exactly I drank because people were buying birthday drinks for me. Four Horsemen, shots of Jack and some beer. I like the atmosphere and the furry wall! It’s a chill spot and I can definitely see a correlation between Easy Bar and Estelle’s. I’ve always liked Estelle’s because there’s no pressure to fit into a crowd. Same here at Easy Bar. If you’re looking for an Estelle’s kind of vibe, but actually want space to dance or play pool, head here.

I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get laid going here given it’s title, but there isn’t a damn thing that’s complicated about Easy Bar. It’s an incredibly chill spot with cheap beers, a pool table, and laid back bartenders. Typically quite during the week, it attracts a lower key clientele so if you want to catch up with a buddy you haven’t seen in awhile or do a first date drink it’s a great option. Not really much else to it, but if you want to drink without having to think the name says it all.
