Dunkin’ Donuts / Baskin-Robbins

they always burn the food items that get toasted in the oven. and their prices have shot up very high.

It’s clean. It’s a block from my house and they have never gotten my order wrong. :-) The staff seems friendly enough the half dozen or so times I have gone in here.
They don’t have the egg white flat breads but I am not sure if they have a market to sell them to anyway.
They keep the coffee and donuts fresh which at the end of the day is what DD is all about. :-)

I definitely thought I had already reviewed my local DD’s, and here’s how the Review of the Day in my head went down…
«Okay, so I like my Dunkin’ Donuts about half of the time. The times I do are when the store isn’t full of people taking their „sweet“ time choosing two dozen donuts for their church or work, the ample morning staff is firing on all cylinders and not standing around, they’ve turned on and know how to work the bagel toaster, and make my coffee with cream and sugar the perfect color; without giving me Type 2 Diabetes in the process!»
But what happens the majority of the time is the reverse, and usually all at once. I’ve long since stopped asking for light cream and sugar and just let the Gods of Coffee Sweetness choose my Fate for the day!
Now, here’s the real reason I thought I had already reviewed my local DD’s. I know, everyone says «I thought I had reviewed…» and doesn’t really mean it for this reason. Last week on a weekday, running late for work, but wanting to treat myself to a bagel and having that warm warm coffee on a cold day on a crowded EL, I couldn’t have asked for a better visit.
There was one guy ahead of me who knew his order! I was quickly helped by an almost-​smiling employee (you can’t ask for much more at this location). She quickly toasted my bagel while another almost-​smiling (well, she at least wasn’t sneering that morning) employee took my coffee order, and remembered me! I’m «Medium Coffee, cream and sugar guy!» The Elixir of the Gods she brought me was as sweet as a lover’s kiss and the color of a Coppertone tan in summertime! Thank you Coffee God, Arabicus! My bagel toastee put napkins in the bag (thinking ahead, eh?), wished me to have a good day and actually smiled!
It was at this moment that I seriously figured someone had read my previous negative Review in My Head, and done a 180! I hope this service becomes a trend here! And it can’t hurt to prod it along with a little positive thinking on my walk to my trusty Dunkin’ Donuts!
