They gave me a $ 5.00 counterfeit bill. When I let the cashier know. She had to call her manager, who was not in. I had to come back in with the bill and receipt 2 days later to meet the manager. Instead of just taking their $ 5.00 loss. The obviously inexperienced«manager» claims the cashier’s cash in her drawer came straight from Chase Bank across the street. Which if you know anything about Banking. BS. The«manager» gave me her manager’s name and number. He obviously was another«winner». A lot of trouble for $ 5.00 I know. No return call from their fraud department. I just drive the extra mile to Austin and Addison. The staff is in dire need of customer service training. It was the principle not the lousy $ 5.00.

Best dunkin donuts I’ve been to. They are all super nice in here. The girl knows my order when I walk in. I guess I come here too much. Lol they are very friendly.

This place just flat out sucks. It’s the closest to my house — so, like an Alzheimer’s patient I sporadically return. Slow service Consistently burned or stale coffee Food items that are just awful. America runs on dunkin… But not this one !!

No complaints here. I’ve been here a few times and I’m in and out quick. It was clean and the lady at the front was a sweetheart. She made conversation with my kids and was really patient when they wanted to order and pay themselves. Everything was fresh!

Really don’t understand all the negativity about this place– I’ve been a regular here since they opened and haven’t had a problem yet. Typically the service is above average, better than your typical DD. Only knock on this place is that they seem to have a new person working the late shifts every week. –gotta say i miss the smokin hot puerto rican chick that worked here.

The place is way under staffed. Every time I walk in there to get coffee in the afternoon there is only one person working. I waited in line once for 10 minutes because a customer ordered on of those box o joes or whatever they call it. The guy was filling it with pots and waiting for the next pot to fill. He never once acknowledged any customers behind the guy. The guy who was odering even turned around to apologize to everyone. This place has very slow service.

I think my last review jinxed this place and it’s now just your run of the mill shitty Dunkin Donuts. The morning staff who I came to know when I started coming here(Eddie and Paola) are gone. Hopefully they were just moved to a later shift or promoted to a different location. Firing them would’ve been a huge mistake because they were pretty valuable. There are a few staff members they have now who are alright. The current shift leader is a decent guy and there’s a very nice and cheerful girl who I see there every once in a while, but the new staff is nothing like the one back in January. I don’t know what’s going on with the coffee anymore. The coffee used to be hot and fresh most of the time. Now several days out of the week I’ll get a burnt and/or flavorless cup of coffee that may be lukewarm by the time I get to work. At 6am there typically isn’t much of a crowd, but the new staff definitely can’t handle a line like the old one did. It used to be that if the line was out the door, you would have your order in your hand in less than five minutes. Now if there’s one person in line in front of you and he orders a toasted sandwich and iced coffee, you might as well have brought a tent. They’re just not as organized as they were. The other thing about the staff that really needs to be adjusted is how they don’t act as much like a work staff as they do high school students unsupervised in a classroom. Not that I care what they’re discussing while at work, but I’ve overheard them talking about getting into fights, complaining and swearing about having to work weekends as well as their erotic encounters. The only legitimate complaint I have about their behavior is the few times I’ve paid for my $ 1.97 coffee with two singles and the cashier asked me if I wanted the three cents change. I’m puzzled why he’d have to ask, but I let him keep the three cents simply in the interest of getting out of there sooner and moving on with my day. This just solidifies the old proverb of «if it aint’ broke, don’t fix it.»

Contrary to Bella’s review, I’ve never had any issues here except for when they first opened and everyone was a rookie(which I think is pretty normal anywhere). Of course, if you show up at 12:30pm for breakfast, they might be out of some bagels. I believe bagels are primarily made for morning breakfast and not throughout the day. Donuts are hit or miss which has happened at every Dunkin I’ve been to. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. As for service, I’ve had no problems. I’ve visited at all hours of the day. Most of them remember my order and start preparing it before I even get to the register. They’re friendly and polite. In my opinion, they’ve completely redeemed themselves since that first week of opening.

Pros: Portage Park FINALLY has a Dunkin’ Donuts in the ‘hood! YAY! Cons: The employees. Everyone but the managers here needs a lot more training and people skills/manners. Every time I go in there I have to repeat my order for the person taking my order at the register. And then a third time for the person pouring my coffee. How hard is a medium hazelnut? It drives me crazy. The oddest and funniest thing I’ve ever seen was walking in during off-hours on a Sunday afternoon and finding the only two employees working sitting on the floor behind the counter in an explosion of powdered sugar. Just sitting there shooting the shit in a complete mess. They looked annoyed they had to get up and take my coffee order. Can we say stoners? On weekends, there’s only half the donuts there normally are — there are literally pull-down partitions that cover up the shelves that are normally stocked with sugary goodness Monday-Friday. It’s bizarre! Welcome to Portage Park, Dunks. I’m hoping ya’ll improve as the employees get into the groove of things. 2 stars.
