Love to stop in at this spot for a beer and there amazing Portabella Sauté! Absolutely the best thing on a cold day outside! Great place to tuck away and there’s always a space for you!

Ok… it’s a dump. It’s small and crowded and the kitchen is filthy and open to the bar. A great place to come for a drink. Reasonably priced. Decent service. The menu looked varied but I don’t think I’d eat here. Lots of better. cleaner options in the area but I’d certainly drink with the fun crowd.

Over priced beer and food, extremely crowded, inconsistent service. They tried to charge us more. Why would you come here?

Went here after the Jay Z and Beyoncé concert. At 2am I ordered shrimp and salmon. Very tasty and portion sized surprised me. It has a bar feel bc of the tight space and crowd, but the menu sets this place apart. And honestly anyone with a late night kitchen wins!!!

First off, I am a fan. This has been a comfort place for me for 14 years. If Chicago was to have a «Cheers» pub, it would b Dublin’s, and with great food. Tonight it was just small plates. Grilled calamari, steak nachos, and some of the best oysters Rockefeller around. That with the coldest served Guinness served anywhere. Yes it is crowded, packed often. Yes it can be incredibly noisy, almost unbearably. So if a noisy welcoming Irish restaurant/bar is not your thing, don’t go and complain. But do go if you want to be well fed and watered, and be surrounded by happy people.

I feel bad completely giving a negative review so I will go with 3 stars instead of two, I would give my server 1 star if not 0. The food is delicious and the majority of the staff is great, bartenders, managers. However, last night I dined in the restaurant with my mom and aunt and uncle who were visiting. Our server was the rudest person, my uncle asked about the spicy chicken sandwich, basic questions(what kind of sauce is on it, is there blue cheese, what does it come with) each answer the server gave was rude. Don’t know what kind of sauce, don’t know if blue cheese, comes with a bun. umm ok The booth we were in was very small, my uncles knees were basically hitting the other side of the booth, we asked if we could move to the large corner booth, we were told no that booth is only for 7 people or more, but one time he fit 15 but they were all super skinny. However half way through out meal 4 people came in and sat in the booth, one of the four being a kid. My boyfriend loves Dublin’s and probably has me get take out once a week for him, I will continue to get takeout for him, but I don’t know if I can dine in again, It was such a bummer on the service.

One wouldn’t expect getting a phenomenal burger at an Irish pub, but honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Great casual bar in a trendy area. Would definitely go back next time in Chicago.

Fun neighborhood-style pub with great food! My friend and I shared grilled scallops on saffron rice which was fabulous! I had the special — sautéed chicken with brie in Madeira sauce served with rice and steamed vegetables. The brie melted perfectly on top of the chicken and the vegetables were steamed just right!

I want to like this place because I’ve heard such good things, but I just don’t think I do. I’ve gone twice because I just really want to like it, but both times were just OKAY. I got a Paloma one of the times, and it barely had an tequila in it, it seemed. It DID, but it wasn’t enough for what the drink is. It was mainly juice and such. Meh. The bartender the first time I went was a younger man, and he was very nice. The second time, I was a little intoxicated… so I don’t really remember what the bartender looked like. But I remember having to wait a LONG time because he was chatting with a coworker… why? It’s a cute, small place. I’ve heard the food is good. Maybe I’ll give it ONE more chance… maybe third time will be a charm. But as of right now, I’m just not a fan.

Food is great– a lot of options to choose from. Salads are so fresh and HUGE! Love that the patio is dog friendly and the owner LOVES dogs. I have lunch on this patio alot with my pup and she always comes out to say hi to him and thank us for our business. Wait staff is fast and really friendly. Great local place to hang out!

I used to live around the corner from Dublin’s and I really enjoyed stopping in here on a regular basis. I highly recommend sitting on the outdoor patio in the summer as it is in a great location with entertaining people watching. Dublin’s is where you go when you are in the rush st area and want a normal bar and grill; the surrounding area is otherwise pretty upscale restaurants. I have had the half pound burger many times and it is delicious each time; it is also a great value at only $ 9. The fries that come with it are also great. Also recommended is the grilled chicken sandwich. I even like the décor of this place; it can be quite festive during the holidays. Go here if you want good food for good prices.

This is my first time in Chi-Town. This is my second time in this dive. Enough said. lol. Update: I had to decrease my rating because Todd, one of the bartenders is a drunken jerk. Drank all effin day and when we returned for more drinks, he was an ass. I won’t return.

We were here just for a quick stop while making our way through the city back up to the burbs. We had one drink(vodka soda) and the boys had a beer. We didn’t get any food, and I didn’t get to see the menu so can’t comment on that! Good service, nice beer and spirits selection, great part of town for a visitor.

My first time at Dublin was some drunken St. Patty’s Day a couple years ago. As I don’t recall that experience, I figured I would visit again… sober this time. Upon arriving, the staff quickly seated us and took our drink orders. This is the sort of place you go for a simple mixed drink or a beer. Our waiter was patient and attentive. As you can’t really screw up a gin and tonic, let me get to the food. I had the veggie sandwich with waffle fries. The waffle fries were what you would expect. The sandwich, on the other hand, was a little underwhelming. Although the ingredients sounded amazing; peppers, avocado, mozzarella, and a few other things on ciabatta, the sandwich lacked in taste. When I go back, I would rather stick with their fish and chips or something you would typically order at most bars. At any rate, I’m sure I’ll be back by one way or another.

Usually this is my late night place to go when I’m looking for a good salad. I have gone to Dublin’s a number of times but every time I get the same things. On a good night they may not be packed but recently they were so packed that you had to wait for people to leave to get a seat. The manager is such a nice guy got my party seated really fast and even moved us to a better seat because he saw how cramped we were sitting in the original area. Their Caesar salad with blacked salmon on top is to die for. It is seasoned very well and great combination with the Caesar salad. However recently I tried the chicken salad and it was terribly dry and we had to put water on it because it was so dried out. Other guest that I was with said the burger was really good. But overall this is a great place for a late night meal to end a night of clubbing.

Stopped there on a walk about on my first night during St Patrick’s day weekend(fri). I realize its probably busier then normal but wasn’t packed. A girl sitting at the bar saw me waiting forever for a drink she said she worked there and would get me a bartenders attention and did. He was real nice to her and when he found it was me he was called over for I asked for two Guinness and a Miller Lite He came back with the Guinness and not the Miller Lite. He was fencing and said I never ordered a Miller lite. Bought me the Miller light and I paid and reluctantly tipped 5 bucks. I asked if the bar had t-shirts for sale as i know some people with a Bar named Dublin and he says«ummm i’ll have to check» He never came back. When he did swing by and i asked him again he acted surprised(could tell he forgot) and said«mum no» In the meantime I was making friends around me so I ordered 4 Jameson shots. He then set them down and goes«Ummm… thirty, no lets go thirty five dollars» The girl that said she works there asked why stating he was ripping us of. He said it was St Patricks day and prices went up. I gave him $ 40.00 and told him to keep the change. He grabbed the money and never said thank you and left. We finished our beers and did the same, but left the bar. I don’t care if 8.75 is the going rate for Jamo there but every other bar was $ 6.00 or so but the fact he was rude and changed prices in the middle of the transaction(and the other employee saying he ripped me off) makes me feel like I did get ripped off. Food looked pretty good but I will never try it as I will never be back there. I have worked in the industry for 26 years in usually give befit of the doubt but this was so disturbing it is the 1st non 5 star rating I have given on Unilocal

Came here with my girls from out of town and thought the food was great but we all ended up getting sick the next day. This was the only place we ate at. Hate to give a bad review but that’s that what happened!

This is a place to end your night out in Chicago with a drink if you’re staying somewhere close, though the service can seem overwhelmed which can appear to be rude, and sometimes they are just plane rude: They have a selection of 20+ beers as well as a menu of so very random things(French fries to Bree). This most recent visit was less than satisfactory: the moment we walked in, the host told us to listen better ad be prepared to be asked to leave if it got busy since we were only grabbing drinks and not food. Mind you it was 12:15 in the morning and half the place was empty. He kept nagging us about not eating, being in the way and was extremely rude to all four of us. The waitress seemed to be overly nice to us when she got there to make up for the rudeness, but the damage was done. Not my favorite.
