I don’t usually write reviews, but I was very disappointed in this location.
I visited the store with a group of women wanting to sign up for memberships. Upon arrival the saleslady told us that only half of our group could look around at a time, the other half had to stand at the front of the store. I was in a group of about 8 ladies, all of different ethnicity. The saleslady kept saying that this was «corporate policy», but it was clear she assumed someone would steal something. If it was such a stick rule, as she seemed to make it out to be, one would think there would be signs around the store or at the door? Not at all. The associates pretty much dropped everything they were doing and watched us like hawks. I’m also in retail, so I understand the measures you have to take to prevent loss, but to be so obvious about it is just sickening.
After leaving the store we decided to take our business to a different location. When we arrived at the other location we were welcomed nicely and we were all allowed to walk the store freely. Hmm… what about the «corporate policy?»
I know I will never shop at this location, and if it hadn’t been for the second store being so nice, I wouldn’t consider shopping at any store. But clearly its not the company, just some stores.
Be careful how you treat people.

This place is awesome but hard to find. The actual location is right next to the chase bank, at 2251 N Milwaukee Ave. The selection is totally worth the drive.

Being a licensed cosmetologist, it can get expensive when you have to buy supplies. It seems that by default (I was visiting Dunkin Donuts next door for my morning cup of Joe) and noticed that this awesome place was next door. I decided to come back when I was available and when they were open again. Glad I did. I ended up purchasing a Hamilton Electric chair since it is one of the most comfortable ones around. Yes, it does have a price tag that is really not as bad as other places, but when you want quality for your salon (home) it really helps to bargain shop for great products.
Again, this isn’t your regular «Sally’s Beauty Supply» so the products here seem to be top of the line, so if you want great products, then of course you need to stop by. The hours vary but the customer service is impeccable. I am a fan of course and will be returning when I get paid for yet some more products.
Oh yes, and ask for a mailed to you catalog for their items. It isn’t like being there in person, but at least you can get a catalog so that an idea of what you are looking for is found.
