It was good. Nice staff. Group of men there with too much cologne on, but that’s not the bars fault. Owned by same guys as cork and Kerry’s on western in Beverly.

Wonderful food, my burger was perfect, the staff very nice, and my order came out within 10 minutes. Will definitely tell my family and friends. I will be back

Clean south side joint. Standard bar, near Sox park with surprisingly cheap drink prices. Recommended before a base ball game. Hm. That’s all I got. GO here!

HORRIBLE! WORSTEXPERIENCE! If there was an option to give zero stars I would. For all that are reading these reviews please note pattern of the horrible service, and discrimination that is happening. Despite it being 2015 there are horrible POS people who get off on treating people badly. The owner eye balled us since the moment we walked it. No one wanted to serve us, and the waitress took a while to decide. Some of the regulars at the bar hackled us and then assaulted my boyfriend. After this horrible experience we got kicked out. Despite doing NOTHING wrong. The manager stated he was«the law», since he didn’t want to kick out his«friends». He proceeded to tell me he was married to a Mexican to make me feel better for being kicked out. The police where called on us. Other people from the bar came out and harassed us, saying racial slurs. Police didn’t do anything to help us, obviously knowing the owner of the bar. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Steer away from a place that discriminates against anyone who isn’t privileged to be like the owner.

Literally the worst bar in the history of bars. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I cannot believe that in this day in age there are people that call themselves decent human beings while being blatant, bigoted assholes. The owner of Cork and Kerry and his cronies seated at the bar are these people. I went there about a year ago and had mediocre food and service. But recently, my friend had one of the most humiliating and terrifying experiences of her life, simply because she is a Mexican-American that decided to eat there during a baseball game. The cops were even called on her and her boyfriend for doing absolutely NOTHINGWRONG!!! And I can see from many of the other reviews below that she is not alone in this experience. Whatever race you are, and especially if you are white, do not support this disgusting excuse for an establishment. If you do, you are supporting a racist place that does not deserve good people’s business. And you are validating behavior that is unacceptable from anyone, particularly the owner of a business. We can do better than this, Chicago…

Worst bar ever!!! We were the only Mexicans there, and everybody was eyeballing us. Didn’t care about that, service was decent. Another guy in the bar in the bar started yelling and wanted to fight me and my girlfriend and approached us and said Irish only and wanted to fight me. This was the owners friend because right after they sat him down and they told us «to get the fuck out» The management was a privileged kid who said the owners were his parents! This bar bar is a complete joke if you’re anything but whit Irish(p.s. This was during Cubs vs sox, the guy at the bar was a Cubs fan.) I hope no one ever goes to this bar again!!! Even the cops on stand by told us this was a normal thing, that we should go somewhere else. This is 2015 people!!! These types of places should not exist!!! Lawsuit coming soon… A COMPLETEJOKE!!! DONOTENTER!!! RACISTESTABLISHMENT!!!

$ 6 dollars for a summer Shandy in a 12oz. plastic cup. Those are close to ball park prices

I’ve been here a few times for the drinks — always a nice spot to toss a few back. The other day I came in and was feeling hungry, so I ordered the Latino. I don’t think I’ve wished I ordered three or four additional burgers more than I did after taking my first bite. I definitely look forward to returning.

This place is the perfect stop before a Sox game. Or just a nice friendly pub to eat at. The burgers are amazing. And the tater tots were perfectly cooked. I asked for a medium burger and it came out nice and juicy perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and reasonably priced for the area.

Terrible, rude service. I’ve never been so belittled and disrespected. Do not patronize this place!

Dear Cork and Kerry(and Jake C., the Ill-informed Drum Major of Foolishness), As a member of this 7÷25÷15 party, I think you’re funny… for thinking that terrible operational planning on the part of the proprietors of this establishment(having one server for a packed restaurant is a) not the customers’ fault or problem b) displays a lack of operational skill that goes hand in hand with bad service). being charged for terrible service where 8 of 10 placed orders were incorrect. took over an hour to receive the total our order(and we’re talking burgers and fries here).realizing that the transaction is going downhill and in the middle of our exorbitantly long wait, proceeds to ask us for a credit card to hold for the bill(at a TABLE where we were all sitting for the duration). an improperly applied service charge policy that was not displayed. and the bill was paid with the exception of a fee that is directly associated with a satisfactory level of service. Oh, and the food was mediocre, at best. Gratuity, and especially not 21% gratuity, is not required for bad service. It is actually, by definition, a reward for satisfactory to exemplary service. As a customer service professional, I would be appalled to learn of customers of mine having such an experience. It’s funny that you’re ignorant to the fact that disparate treatment due to race and stereotypical preconceived notions is something that actually happens in real life. It’s not your fault. maybe. Please take a look at my picture so if you ever happen to pass by me on the street, then you know what I look like, you can wave at me, and know that I’m not hiding behind an internet persona. and let’s be frank, you wouldn’t have the paid it, either. sit down.

I’ve never felt so unwanted in a restaurant. After receiving slow service and no assurance that this was an irregular occurrence OR that they were sorry for the long wait time, we were then chastised for being«difficult.» They chose to penalize us by subjecting us to an unfair billing policy. Nowhere on the menu do they stipulate the gratuity charge. They also TAXED the gratuity! I also want to stress that they did NOT ask anyone in my party for their ID. No one in that group was underage BUT, aren’t you supposed to ask for ID for anyone that looks younger than 30?! To sum it up, please NEVER bring your business to this restaurant. There are so many better places to spend your hard earned money. Don’t spend it at a place who won’t respect you and will find ways to get over on you.

I will never go back to this establishment and neither should you! Never have I felt so disrespected by bar/restaurant employees. Not only was the service horribly slow but the staff was rude. 45 minutes after placing our order, I asked how much longer the food would take and was told«I honestly have no clue». She went back and checked and then came back and said«yeah, we have no way to guess». When we continued to ask questions, the waitress simply walked away without answering. When the orders came out nearly an hour after we ordered, most were wrong and one was completely forgotten about, even after asking several times. Given the rude behavior by the waitstaff, we determined as a group that only a small tip would be given. After we had eaten our food, we were told that due to our party size, the tip would automatically included but no where on the menu or written in the bar was there a mention of a mandatory gratuity charge, which is legally required. When we tried to talk to the manager, we were given no sympathy for the horrible service and told that we had to pay. Upon receiving the bill, we noticed that the gratuity was MANUALLY added to the bill(above the subtotal line) therefore making at apparent that this is not a normal charge. I have gone here as a group before and even recommended it to others but never again will I go and I will make sure that anyone I know never goes here either.

It is unfortunate that the manager was belligerent enough to tell my friends and me that we should write a review based on our experience instead of actually trying to have a conversation. But nevertheless, this is the venue to which we were resigned. We went here after the wipeout run looking for some food and some cold beer, but were met with despicable service after waiting over 45 minutes to an hour for our food(there were 9 of us and we all ordered burgers… I think of anyone of us have been to a cookout you would realize that is an extraordinary amount of time to wait for burgers). After expressing our frustration a few times, we finally received or food, the majority of which was wrong. Then only a few minutes after receiving it, the manager returned to our table and demanded that we provide a credit card to hold our order and essentially assumed that we would leave without paying. When was the last time you were seated at a restaurant and then asked to pay for your food after you took the first bite? I won’t go into the details, but every rational conversation we tried to have after that about the service we received was met with angry remarks and unnecessary condescension. We did not want to leave gratuity,(and there was nothing on the menu or signage stating that it was mandatory for large parties) but did so after the manager hailed down the cops. We had no choice since we were powerless. I live in Chicago, but am not from here so this experience has taught me what many have warned me about. It’s a city of segregated neighborhoods and if you go into a neighborhood business outside of your normal jurisdiction, you will likely be met with hate and disrespect depending on the color of your skin. We were not welcome there and so will obviously never go back, but this is not the way it should be. We were a group of young, black, educated men and women who only wanted what everyone else in the restaurant received. But honestly… we never stood a chance. I have to say the tater tots were amazing, so maybe if we go back all the staff can where blindfolds so they don’t know what we look like.

WORSTEXPERIENCEINYEARS. My friends and I came here for a well deserved lunch and drinks after running a race at US Cellular Field. It wasn’t even a packed house, but tables were filled. Service started out good. pitchers of beer were flowing and the food orders were in. Then things took a turn for the worse… 1. Food took close to an hour to come out with no update on when we’d get it. We only ordered burgers and tater totts and a couple of chicken wraps. When asked for an update, the response was«well you guys placed a big order…» No apologies, no time estimate, no customer service. I’ve gotten faster service at an outdoor family barbecue. 2. More than 3 orders were messed up. 3. 1 order was forgotten altogether. When we told her about the missing order, she never brought it out. It was only after asking again about the order did our waitress(long hair, fit, dirty blond with glasses) bring it out. And was after 8 of my friends had finished their meals. And the burger came out in less than 5 minutes. Do they make burgers one at a time? 4. Midway through the meal the manager came out an asked for a credit card because we had a large party. Correct me if I’m wrong, but are you supposed to open a tab for lunch? And we weren’t seated at the bar. 5. The manager,(bald and heavy set) added a gratuity to large party and TAXEDTHEGRATUITY. YESTHATSRIGHTHEADDEDTHEGRATUITYABOVETHESUBTOTALANDCALCULATEDTAXONTHEGRATUITY. The manager(bald and heavy set) was nasty with our party. When we complained, he explicitly told us to write a comment on Unilocal if we have a complaint… So I did. I won’t be back and you should consider other options if you come here.

Great food!!! Quality pub food and you don’t have to go far to get the quality and texture of fine food:) Satisfactory in my books and I’m picky and for me to write a review should say how Happy I am to find good pub food close to home. Great place and service as well! With a touch of chocolate chip cookies for dessert on the house should I say more…

The closest bars to the IIT campus is Cork and Kerry’s and Turtles. They are literally next to each other. Out of the two, Cork and Kerry’s has the friendlier bartenders. Jackie is so cool. She knows l like fruity drinks and she’ll make sure she has pineapple and orange juices on hand. Before, she wouldn’t have any, so now she is prepared when she knows I’m heading there. The one thing is that this place never has the liqueurs that you need. They have like generic or cheaper brands and the drinks do my taste the same. They’ll go run down to their cellar and come up empty handed. Cork and Kerry’s need to up their alcohol stock.

Worst nachos ever. So we ordered the BBQ Chicken nachos. We got a basket of dry chicken over salty Costo chips. I’m, talking no salas, no cheese, no sauce, no flavor. How do you call something without cheese nachos? They have no specials on game days and I have no incentive to return. I paid 6 bucks for a Crispin’ which is 7.25 for 16oz at the beer fo the world tent inside the Cell. This bar has no personality, no competeive pricing, and no reason to visit. Skip!
