0 zero stars, unprofessional and dirty place. I don’t know how their still open. I was to scare to eat inside there.

THIS PLACE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISREPECTFUL!
I had placed an order for delivery and they told me the total and said it would be an hour. And hour and a half has past and have not got a called for my order or anything saying how long will they be there. I called the pizzeria and I asked the. Immediately I got attitude and was told I was being on hold. Once they finally answered I asked what was the status on my order because it had been more than the estimated time and I do not live that far away. The man on the phone put me on hold and said «he was gonna check» it took him 10 minutes maybe longer to check. Once he got back on the phone he asked about an order that wasn’t mine (I had told him before what was my order) and he said okay let me go check again, (with more attitude). 5 more minutes passed by and a woman answers the phone. She asked what was order and to what address, I repeated again, not once did I give her attitude to them. She said she could place the order «now» and that she would give me a little discount. I was telling her how unprofessional it was and before I finished my sentence she said «oh okay, what ever!» And hung up the phone. That’s whole phone conversation was so unprofessional and disrespectful!

Rude person that took my order. Told me it would be here in an hour. It took 2! The food was cold and not how I had ordered it. Congress needs to close it used to be good. Save your time. Go somewhere else.

I haven’t ordered from here in a long time and I will not order again. I also decided to ignore the bad reviews today thinking I would enjoy the pizza like I had in the past. I was dissatisfied with my pizza, decided to call about it. The phone «manager» was rude and so was the restaurant manager, Kelly. She offered no solution to the problem and gave me nothing but excuses. I DO NOT recommend this place. I will continue my patronage at Vito and Angelo pizzeria.

Wish I could rate 0 stars. Just called to order an 18″ pizza with 5 toppings. My total was $ 41.40. The person on the phone said each topping was $ 5.00. SERIOUSLY?! I could get the same size pizza at Marcello’s Father & Son for MUCH less and it’s much better service and taste. To top it off, I cancelled my order and the woman hung up. NEVER ordering from here again!

Ive been a loyal customer to Congress since 1985 but now recently since they went under new management. tje pizza is horrible specially the cheese is so cheap with so much grease… its a shame how congress went down hill … I guess mama’s lunas takes over now…

Absolutely awful customer service. The manager, Kelly, does not care about her customers and is completely disrespectful. Having worked in restaurants before, I know and understand how hectic it can be but there is no excuse to be this rude. She does not have the patience or kindness to be a manager. I am completely in awe at how awful this place was. If I knew how to contact the owner, I would immediately.

Their pizza has gotten expensive and their chicken tetrazzini does not taste the same. The tetrazzini used to be delicious. It was one of the reasons why I used to order from them. Ehhh… not impressed. We have been ordering from them for many, many years.

My family and I love congress. We’ve loved it since the Milwaukee location 25 + years ago. It’s sad to see where it is now though. The Diversey location was also great, but as of late they’ve completely lost it. They’ve delivered me plenty of cold pizzas. Pizzas in which all the toppings seemed to have gone all to one side as it was delivered. Wrong toppings on pizzas etc. I’ve come to the conclusion that the pizza I grew up loving is no more. This had been the family go to stop for so many years. I would always claim it as the best pizza, partially because we really liked it and partially I’m sure was the nostalgia. Regardless, I’ve stopped ordering from there altogether. I give 2 stars for what it once was. In its prime I would have given it a 5. Ah well, now to look for a new go to pizza spot.

Wish i could give no stars. The customer service here is the worst and it seems like they deliver when they want too. Never spending another dollar here again.

I ordered with a congress pizza menu that they gave me from the last order I ordered from last time the menu clearly it says nothing on prices are subjected to change. They wanted to charge me $ 32.00 for a pizza that isn’t the same size as bacci’s .
This business has lost my 600 dollar monthly service. Not only where they rude but ghetto like a call service with horrible service your better of shopping at a local market with butchers then these woman there. Horrible service.

THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I put my order in at 3:30pm. I was told it would be about one hour, hour and a half. At 5:15pm I called saying my delivery had been almost 2 hours and I wanted an ETA. The woman on the phone put me on hold, came back to confirm my order with a different address. I corrected her and she told me the driver had already left with my order. 20 minutes later I get a call saying my order is ready for pick up. I explain to her that I did not put in an order for pick up, that it was a delivery. She said there was no address and that I had put it in for pickup. I was upset and told her I did not want the order, that I wanted my money back. All she said was okay and hung up. I called back to speak with a manager and this was when the place turned into a shit show. They sounded like chickens with their heads up their asses. I said that I had put in a order over two hours ago, had called to see when it would be delivered, had been told it was on its way, and then had been called to say it was a pick up. This woman told me she was the owner and I had put in the order with her and that I had said it was a pick up. I had to argue with this women telling her I had said it was a delivery and that I had given my address. She proceed to tell me there is no address and that the girl who took the order had not been given one. Basically, she lied to me about taking my order, told me I was lying about what happened when I placed my order (she told me I didn’t give an address or say it was a delivery when she had lied about being the one to take my order), and when I told her she should be trying to fix an issue when a customer is upset said all she could do was fire the girl that took my order. WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND TELL THE CUSTOMER SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET FIRED BECAUSE OF THEIR COMPLAINT?! You never put that guilt on a customer. After arguing with this crazy women all she said she could do for me was put the order in now and give me half off. This being after she realized she was look at a ticket of an order that was placed hours ago. God, know where my order ticket was; probably in the garbage with their customer service. I have never had to yell at someone on the phone like I did with this woman. At this point they are delivering me a pizza and I am not even hungry anymore from how angry I am. I have never had anyone give me so much sass and attitude when it was a mistake they made. I work in customer service and at this point all I want to do is walk in there and show them how its done because I am embarrassed for them.

If I could Rate this place 0 star I would I placed a order in it took over a hour in a half when I call to check on my order the phone lady was rude with a bad attiude which she does need to be working in customer service… pizza finally arrive cold. I will never order from the place again… My loss they gain my wise…

stay away! i repeat stay away! just wasted $ 26 on some expired ass nasty pizza! this place is never gonna bounce back to what it use to be, never! me and my gf can finish any pizza except this one. it was too gross! well never ever go back to this dump ever again!

The food used to be good here. Ever since the change of management it’s gone down hill. The service isn’t great at all. These kids dnt even look u in the face when they take ur order n they use a hand held calculator n over charged me 2x. The workers are in professional n walk around with tattoos on there face n hickies all over their necks. I even over heard them arguing in the back (as I waited) about the wage. These guys pay their workers $ 5 an hour! As if they had illegal aliens workin there. Very sad. Dnt believe me? Go urself n see.

Pretty decent pizza. A little pricey though. I remember years ago I tried the lunch buffet and i do not recommend it at all so I’m not sure if they’ve changed it for the better. But their pizza is scrumptious!!!

We ordered a medium pizza. Half pepperoni and half sausage… Pizza was cold and soggy. Not good. It looked great but I guess it was the weather… Idk but I might try again when is nicer out. But the delivery guy gave me a free Pepsi, that was nice of him. 4 stars for delivery but pizza was just ok;(

WOW, literally after I called for them to fix the order they messed up the first time, and they take 40 more min and give me the same messed up order. That cook is not too bright because the ticket keeps having the correct order but that’s not what’s they keep giving me
I would love to give them a 5 star review, the food is amazing, from their sausage pizza to the lasagna and calamari, there isn’t much bad I can say about the food quality or portions.
My big issue is that the delivery service is so hit or miss. I live less than a mile away so timing is usually good but the accuracy of your order is not. I’m not even joking when I say that 60% of the time I order, something is incorrect. Granted I order for a household so it’s usually a few items but it can’t give a great review when about half the time someone has to wait to eat because their food was prepared completely incorrect or something is missing in the order.
If you can dine in you’ll love the food but if you get it delivered it’s a game of chance!

Dont get the stars wrong but the pizza is delicious. ordered a Stadium size pizza for my whole family the lady seemed annoyed ever since the beginning when i called for my order. I decided to changed to two large pizzas so i called back and told me it was too late. I let it be, perhaps my pizza was getting prepared already.
She also told me that it was going to be 40min to one hour.
i received my pizza almost two hours later, when i came down to pick it up it was some bummy gangbanger with his pants touching the ground and not shaved. really dirty. he told me he needed to see my CC so i went back upstairs to get it. when i came down my pizza was on the floor and he was on his phone. like seriously the cement is cold.
when my family digged in, i was getting complained that why would i pay so 50 dollars for a pizza that was cold. i called back and they hanged up. wouldn’t answer my call anymore.

Went here on a sudden whim with some friends when we were hungry on Halloween night, and were all trying to agree on somewhere to dine in at that was still open late. I really enjoyed the thin crust pizza here. Might be near the top (in fact, it’d be in my top 2 or 3) when it comes to the quality of the sausage I’ve seen other pizza places in Chicago serve on their pizza, and the bacon (which was actually supposed to be broccoli, but the kitchen misinterpreted just this topping we requested on ours by mistake) was also excellent. Probably since I’m a ‘meatatarian’, I easily enjoyed our accidental pizza the most.
Whoever voted that this place doesn’t have a full bar is incorrect, there is one here. Dining room and bar overall are a little on the small side, but the tables aren’t super cramped near each other, and the tables and floor were very clean, so no complaints there. I think this is the only place that may still have the obscure arcade game Code One Dispatch anymore (played a quick round before leaving). Parking is mostly either on Diversey (free), or on the diagonal spaces on Mason Ave. along the side of the building. Be careful if you’re driving here and coming to dine in, there’s a red light camera at Diversey and Austin.
If only I lived closer to the Milwaukee Ave. location…
