It’s a Chipotle, so let’s not get carried away with the reviews here… it’s not as if it’s a hipster restaurant in Bucktown. Food tastes like, well, Chipotle. Service is mediocre like, well, Chipotle. Pricing is like, well, Chipotle. It’s a Chipotle.

This chipotle has polite young customer service at the line. The line cooks are fun and kind and honestly when it comes to fast food, that’s what I’m looking for because you know the quality of food is going to be pretty consistent. Also, their serving size is on the larger side.

Hi, I decide to give chipotle another try months after the bacteria hype settled down. Bad idea. First the staff were playing and screwing around while customers were waiting to place their order, second the lettuce bowl was empty and one yelled for an employee from the back to get another back of lettuce, she opened it and dumped the fresh bag over the bowl with old lettuce pieces in it. Cross contamination. Done, won’t go back there again. I’m fighting cancer and I can’t compromise my food choices, even when it’s prepared in front of me. Too bad I always like chipotle. Hire better help.

So this is by far my favorite chipotle. I live near here and I frequent this chipotle at least 3 times a month. The staff is so friendly and nice and they are just so awesome. They really have great staff here and i haven’t experienced the level of neighborhood restaurant-ness in a fast food place ever. I was surprised to see their low ranking on Unilocal actually. I really think that people only write about the bad stuff and don’t take the time to write about how awesome it is that the cashiers make small talk and they roll a mean burrito over here.

We love Chipotle in all it’s Americanized goodness. I’m not sure what makes it Mexican. None of this matters, they taste good. We were still loyal even with all the drama they’ve been going through… As others have said, when this location opened we rejoiced. It is yet another stop on our grocery days… We get hungry between stores… It’s become a tradition to eat here, plus it’s right next to Pet Smart so we can pick up kitty supplies when needed. Anyway, when this place first opened it was one star worthy. Customer service was horrendous. Employees here simply gave no fucks. They had none left to give. Unfortunately this equated to them never having enough food. They were always out of chicken, or barbacoa, or corn. They looked like they were two seconds from quitting and taking everyone with them. There would be a line out the door because they were so slow, and we could hear them getting yelled at by customers for being«out of fajita veggies every time I come here!» We thought they were sure to go under, all because of the employees they hired for this location. Thankfully, all that appears to have changed. I don’t see any of the old faces anymore, and they have been well stocked and efficient, even pleasant, during our last couple visits. We are loyal to Chipotle, the burrito bowls are bomb, and the guac is excellent. I am so glad this location is on the upside.

Like many fellow Unilocalers I am very disappointed to have to write a poor review of Chipotle. My previous visits here weren’t up to average standard(no manager on site, personal music playing in cook area, messy work stations) but after a visit tonight after the national training I finally decided to post. You would think that after the official national training we have heard about the team would use better sanitation and be more on top of it to turn around customer loyalty. But today was just as messy as before and my burrito was overly salty and missing the lettuce I asked for. They were also out of chips and sour cream at 7:30 and many people seemed upset with it. This location better get it together or who knows if I’ll ever go back. Driving to the way better and consistent Rogers Park Sheridan location doesn’t seem realistic.

I was so damn excited to hear that a Chipotle was opening within walking distance of my house that I bragged to all my friends. Unfortunately bragging doesn’t get you anywhere bc this turned out to be the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. 1. Like many have mentioned, this is the most awkward layout ever. The seating and line was poorly planned out, it seriously makes no sense. If 5 people walk in, it’s like the entire place is packed. Also makes it uncomfortable to eat. 2. The employees seem to be having a great time with each other(which I can appreciate) but so much so that they don’t keep up with cleaning the dining area. I have observed this during various visits which I now call attempts to see if this location has gotten better. 3. The food is not good. It isn’t up to par with the Chipotle that I often crave. During my second visit, I stopped eating my bowl half way through and threw it out(which I know is very bad) and makes me even more upset to waste my hard earned $. I take eating out very seriously, no joke. I consider Chipotle to usually be a reliable, healthy and good quality option for my $. Unfortunately, this location has disappointed me. After 5 attempts within a good 6 month period, I have decided to avoid this stop on my way home. Sigh

I ordered online and got a burrito bowl. To my disappointment they put little to no rice and lettuce. They added beans when I specifically stated no beans. I have ordered online here before and have not had a great experience. They do not care about their online orders. Hope that they pay more attention in the future.

You would think(I thought, at least) Chipotle would make sure every store is on top of their game after the recent E. Coli scare forcing some Chipotle stores to shut down. I thought wrong. Having a fierce loyalty to Chipotle, I decided that I still wanted my steak burrito bowl, despite the recent events. Risky, I know, but my craving overpowered any hesitation. I regret this decision. I have never had such an unfortunate experience at any store of this beloved brand. Today was different. This store was so disorganized and all over the place, I was actually embarrassed for the staff. The first thing that bothered me is that they attended to an online order that had JUST come in before they attended to me and the next person in line. Then, they literally were out of about 6 – 7 items on the line. The girls one the line were shouting every few seconds for these items to be replenished. No rice, no steak, no fajita veggies, no brown rice, no chicken, and some other things I don’t recall. I had to wait about 7 – 8 minutes for white rice while everyone that wanted brown skipped ahead. I got the last of the steak, which then created more of a mess as more guests wanted steak. I would assume the girls would request items once they started to get low and not wait until it’s just gone. There was no manager to speak to and only one person that got an apology. In fact, a guy walked out mid-order and said, «Cancel it. You guys are so rude.» Good luck to this specific location, that has indeed lost at least 2 customers today. It’s unfortunate because the food itself was pretty good.

This chipolte is still the absolute worst. today none of the employees could figure out how to make rice, so there was no rice. No announcement of this to the 20 people in line, so after standing in line for 30 minutes you were informed they could not make rice.

Often a very long line and the seating is inferior to most Chipotles. However, the service is friendly and the food is good.

Tried out this spot and I must say that it’s pretty cool and the service is very good. I picked up lunch there and I was in and out pretty quickly. I’ve never had lunch to stay so I couldn’t say but so far I think they’re all good in my book. So have lunch there and let me know what you think.

This location def lives up to its stars, which. if ya’ll havent noticed…(LOL) My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood, and did a quick Chipotle stop, How can you go wrong, right? Wrong! So, as soon as we walk into the door, there was like 8 people in the line which already makes it seem like it’s out the door b/c space is not utilized properly here as far as seating goes. So after about 10⁄15 minutes of waiting in a Chipotle line,(thats already too long) it’s time for us to order, So, i noticed that literally every employee here is about 15 – 18 years of age, OK, I don’t care? Just give me my burrito bowl b*otch.(don’t harbor on that comment, not that serious) So, there was this one girl in particular, and I wanna say her name was like«Jasmine, Jazlyn, Jocelyn» IDK!(we’ll just call her rude a$$) She obviously was having a horrible day to begin with, who am i to care? Just want my burrito bowl… b*iotch. Ok, I’ll finish. So I of course tell her that i want my sour cream, on the side for personal Chipotle reasons, She ends up giving me a huge attitude why?(b/c im cute, happens often LOL) then decided to skip my order and attend to more important things, like the customer that’s 5OTHER customers away from me that wants to know about the different salsa’s that Chipotle makes(GIRL, Google it!) Not to mention there are about 6 + employees on the Chipotle line trying to whip out food. Like, has ANYONE ever seen 6 + people on the Chipotle line before? Me either. We get to the cashier, and I ask for some honey vinaigrette b/c you are not a true Chipotlian if you don’t use it, And miss RUDE A$$ decides that she’s going to ignore the cashier that asked her for it b/c she didn’t like me, and she didn’t want to give me my honey vinaigrette, not only that but she purposely held onto it, so that I could wait longer. This is why juveniles should be monitored, by adults. This place is brand new, and will def not last long if they keep bringing employee’s like that in. There was obviously more to this effect, like the co workers dancing around in the back to bop music, like, oh sure! we’ll be your audience no prob. –__– da fuhhhh All around, this Chipotle sucks. I’ll never come back, and that Jasmine girl needs to get it together, this is the real world honey, don’t nobody play about their Chipotle.

I REALLY do not like giving low scores to businesses because I know it can hurt them. However, the employees were really grumpy and threw my burrito bowl together. The spicy sauces(I get all of them) were all over the sides which I did not pay attention to at the time but when I left(it was to go) and took it out of the bag in my car it was all over the seat. I guess I should have just gone back in and make them re do it but it seemed like the employees already had a horrible day. I will ho back and order again so I can(hopefully) give them a better review.

What a train wreck… No management. No supervision. To ensure quality and efficiency. Running out of food. Overstaffed but slow. Mistakes. Been here twice. Food is just okay. not worth the aggravation. Is this a mom n pop operation opening their first restaurant or a BILLIONDOLLAR food service company with resources in place to operate better? Hard to tell…

Terrible terrible terrible! So F®®®®®®® slow here no matter when you come. They consistently run out of things here! Does the manager use daily analytics to view the sales/inventory??? I’m so pissed that I always have to wait long here or find out they are out of chicken, rice or guacamole! Yes this happened TWICE! I’m used to going to Chipotle’s downtown where there are long lines but the lines go fast!

I never thought I’d give a Chipotle a 2 star review — but alas, here we go. I heard this place was a mess — and it’s been open long enough to have worked out the kinks by now, you’d think. I, like many was excited to hear that Uptown and Edgewater were getting our very own Chipotle — no running to Lakeview or north of Loyola. Well.. . we we’re happy until we got to patronize this place and find what a cluster-fudge of a mess it is. The line was out the door and the staff, well they didn’t seem to have any sense of urgency whatsoever. A bunch of young adults — with no pep in their step — and not a manager in sight. The line was lets say, completely overwhelmed while appearing to be overstaffed. The girl asking you what you’re having was friendly, but probably not the right person to be greeting your guests in a new store — and she has a heavy hand on the steak(yay) but so much so, that they the cashier thought I got double meat — which I didn’t… so Chipotle, I’m pretty sure profits are walking out the door due to poor employee training. Anyway — two people doing toppings and working over top each other and a cashier that seems overwhelmed. They were out of fajita vegetables and were running low on everything. I’ve never opened a restaurant before — but, one thing I know is that you open a new store with a lot of good oversight, good training and great motivated people. That’s not rocket science. Given the other reviews on here — they haven’t gotten the hint yet that they’re missing the mark– and by a lot. the good — well, my burrito bowl was delicious.

I know you opened recently, but really? I went last night(4⁄13 at 6 pm) with my wife and it was disorganized. No white rice, guacamole, bowls or mild salsa, but they did get more mild salsa. My wife wanted a bowl and I wanted a salad, but we both got burrito’s instead. One of the workers came over and said they only had one basket. We took our food outside and I noticed 6 baskets by the trash area. I gave them to a worker and asked for liners so we ended up with baskets. The most surprising thing about this was that there appeared to be no one managing this location while we were there. There were about 10 employees in the prep/cooking area but it didn’t seem like anything was getting done. There were another 4 or 5 employees at one of the high tables talking; it seemed about work but couldn’t tell. I hope management is able to improve service soon, very disappointing. I recently moved to this area and this location was not run anything like the locations in the Loop.
