I always bike around here as it’s a quiet area and is where I started my educational career, at Nathan Hale Elementary. Although it’s a very maintained area, a lot of kids try to conquer the frickin’ place. I was once demanded from some kids to not go near them… Thing is, they were right by the flipping park district building entrance! Since I was in need of leaving back home, I accepted their vulgar request and left. It’s a good place, just don’t bump in the teens’ business. The area is large, with a park, a tennis court, some fields for baseball and such, and more! As a matter of fact, Hale Park’s Playground is being renovated, or(hopefully not) being torn down, as it is bordered down and most of the playsets are gone, other than dirt, and the structures themselves. All in all, good place, just don’t bump into anyone’s day, and you’ll have fun in this quiet, environmental place.

Well, I’d like to start off that this is a clean park, except when it’s summer. Very nice environment and friendly staff. Okay, so most of the kids are friendly, unless if there are some teens. The staff do NOTHING if they misbehave! The kids in the summer camp they do are very rude and disrespectful. They say swear words, they fool around, and they be bullies. I’m not saying it to all of the boys, but some are nice. Guess what? Staff and counselors barely hear anything, and do nothing! The school’s exterior is nice and clean. The staff that work at the school are very friendly! Well, some of the older kids are rude and so disrespectful, but the staff stop them. Just like at other places, they swear and fight. The staff do the right thing. Also, the school’s new addition is much better than those modulars. Hale Park programs are not very good. The gym programs is the topic I will start with! Gymnastics is good, but for stuff like soccer and seasonal sports, it’s like you in a prison with hungry kids in it. The new coach is the best at the job! Then the two bad ones come in. One coach never watches and just sits there! Poor older kid that has to be the«coach». Then one coach acts like he is deaf. I call his name too many times, ANDNEVERLISTENS! Also, he never pays attention during the class. Another thing is he wastes too much time in class to fool around with the kids! All in all, it is okay, average. There are some positive things, but there are a lot of stuff they need to work on.

Busy on the weekends. Check for open gym! The gym has a lot of activities going on. That is good though, keeping the kids participating in sports is a good thing. Ample parking in the immediate area, the grounds are kept in fair conditions and the staff is good.

My son’s and my favorite park on the Southwest side of Chicago. Great location, safe neighborhood, plenty of parking. There are lots of amenities for all ages, including a field house, clubs, sports, and other activities. Also there is a very nice, clean pool and a kiddie water pad and a nice sized play area with slides, swings, etc.
