Burger was good and fries were addicting. Nothing really stood out on flavor but it was great anyways

An excellent value. A 1⁄3 lb bacon cheeseburger with a huge side of handcut fries for less than five bucks. I don’t think you can buy a Big Mac and fries for five bucks these days. This is not a perfect hamburger(preformed frozen meat, shredded iceberg lettuce) but it’s pretty darn good for $ 4.95.

Good burgers. Good fries. No communication. Slide the window open, take order, slide window closed. Shove the food out the window. They use frozen 3 – 1 burgers, I’m pretty sure they are the one’s you can buy at International Meats on Grand Ave.

There are burgers and there are burgers. This is the second kind. When you need a quick burger fix. You have grown up and the golden arches hurt your stomach in ways only McShitty’s can do once you’ve been weened off them. The other kind of burger are the $ 12 kind that are awesome but make you hate yourself for spending $ 12 on a burger. Honestly this place is really a 3 star joint and I really wish them luck, I am hoping they can get more consistent with the fries. They have been a bit limp which is surprising because on both occasions they were cooked to order. Burger Boys experiment with some different preparations your fries are failing you! Burgers are decent good flavor, nothing mind blowing. Christian rock radio station playing while I dined al fresco, this is a deal breaker. The next time I walk up and that shit is playing I will leave. What I really like is sitting at the picnic table and staring at Jalisco across the street, home to one of my worst Mexican food experiences in Chicago. There it sits all boarded up like it should be. This space has a large parking lot, perhaps they will be better served if they open a drive thru, just sayin.

I went here on Friday for lunch, and I really thought it was great. I loved the french fries and burgers — yum so fresh and great! I had the Monster of the Midway, and the Merkt’s was melty and delicious, the bacon was smokey, and overall it was a delicious burger. AND, they had the BESTPICKLES on a burger I have ever had. Honestly. Ever. I am so thrilled to have a go-to for a quick burger in West Town — we all needed this!

If «Burger» is part of your business name, then it behooves you to offer a pretty damn good burger. Sadly, the one at CBB wasn’t anything to write home about. First off, this place is in a really odd location and I can’t imagine they get a lot of foot traffic. I was there about 6:30 on a Friday evening, so perhaps the lunch crowd is their main bread and butter. We each ordered the«Classic Loop Burger,» which comes topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Didn’t want to get too fancy with the toppings on our first visit. All burgers are $ 4.95, and are 1⁄3 lb. To that, we ordered cheddar fries to share. Our food was ready in mere minutes. While some may appreciate such fast service, it actually turns me off because it just tells me the food was probably pre-made and likely sitting around. And it was. Oh how it was. Pre-formed, thin, limp, flavorless gray patties that reminded me of cafeteria food. Even the fresh toppings and decent bun couldn’t save these burgers. To be fair, I have no problem with pre-formed and frozen burgers as long as they’re cooked fresh and to order, and there’s absolutely no way these atrocities were. Again, maybe we’d have better luck at lunch time, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. The cheese fries were the saving grace. They were fresh-cut, piping hot and came topped with gobs of Merkt’s cheddar. I’m just glad I ordered these as it tipped the review to three stars instead of two. The guy who waited on us was extremely nice. I’m not sure if he was the owner or not, but he is also why this merits a better review. I wish CBB the best of luck, I really do, because they have potential. I just hope they get their act together and provide a better burger. *cash only

I hope this place succeeds. We take a long drive down Chicago Avenue and this appears to be the new«last stop for food» on the way home. Food gets 3 stars and the building’s outward appearance receives nearly 5 stars. Why 5 stars on appearance? One cannot compare this burger stop with other fine establishments elsewhere in the City of Chicago. No, a place on Chicago Avenue should be compared to other places on Chicago Avenue. The outward appearance of this takeout joint is clean and sleek; the color scheme is also appealing. They could have painted this place to match the shuttered disaster across the streets of Chicago Avenue or Grand Avenue. The storefronts on Chicago Avenue from east of Ashland(1600 West) through Austin Avenue(6000 West — city limits) look like hell(see Alcalas, Viva Plaza, Laramie State Bank– just to name a few of the more notable eyesores). The signs, billboards, structures and appearance of everything on that 5-mile stretch of Chicago Avenue is distasteful, disgraceful, humiliatingly low brow and hideous. If Chicago Burger Boys chose to look like your standard Chicago Avenue business, they might have a 2-story tall illuminated box sign complete with flashing lights and a broken scrolling message center that advertises the cheapest menu item repeatedly and incompletely. Thankfully they did not go that route as the Alderman would likely approve their sign and appearance package. Food: they need to offer up a spoon with the milk shake, it is too thick to slurp through the straw. I love the fact that all burgers are the same price($ 4.95), its genius. My only complaint about the West Town Burger was that the burger was likely prepackaged and tossed on the grill. The fries are greasy, but hey, Chicago is known for its gut-bombs. This place tries to be really fast when they serve and I hope they succeed!

as i drove up i really wanted to like this place. it’s a burger stand seemingly in the middle of nowhere. i ordered a double monster of the midway with a chocolate shake – fries are included. it was about $ 10, which at the time seemed more than reasonable. the guy that took and gave me my order couldn’t have said more than two words to me, neither of which were«thanks.» i sat and ate at one of the large outdoor tables in the parking lot and realized why it was so cheap. i was hoping for great, freshly ground and made to order burgers. my double burger consisted of two pre-formed, possibly frozen patties. the only taste was of the cheddar and some char on the edges of the burger. no beefy flavors. really small grind size, was gray throughout and dripping with grease. the bready brioche bottom wasn’t up to the challenge. i didn’t taste the bacon at all either. the fries are what could be described as boardwalk-style for east coasters, but were undercooked and greasy. the shake was way too thick, like someone just scooped ice cream in a cup. if you are looking for a great burger or even a good burger, this is not the place. this is just really cheap, average fast food with less friendly service than you’d get at a mcdonalds. if you live nearby, i would say support this place because there’s just not that much around it, but don’t go out of your way for this.

I am a fan. I went on monday and loved it so much that I was back last night. The Burgers are that good. The fries as well. On Wednesday night I hit it at 8:30 and Frank, one of the owners came out and brought more fries and refills on the drinks. I am from the far northwest side and am travelling down to Burger Boys because it is that good. The evening hours and the prices make this a great place.

I thought the Midway burger was good. Owner/staff is super cool and laid back. Prices are fantastic for what you get. Definitely will be back. Great addition to the neighborhood!

We’ve had a couple of «gourmet» burger joints appear lately around the neighborhood, and they’re nice, if a bit pricey and overwhelming in their offerings. Chicago Burger Boys steps down from that, with a menu of more conventional and reasonably priced burgers. As new as they are, there’s an authenticity here. They also complement the Chicago-Grand triangle, including Joe’s Boston Italian Beef and Taco El Jalisciense, giving us three great options. I tried the Monster of the Midway, which was awesome, and the fries were perfection.

These are great burgers and so cheap! The Owners came and sat outside with us and they are really friendly. This place has Wiener’s Circle potential. Merkt’s on anything is good. The fries need to be cooked to order(fresh cut!) and there is plenty of parking in back. Great place and happy to have in the neighborhood! They also serve frozen custard which is yummy!

Very cool staff, «owner dude» seemed a bit… but hey, this is a review of the food… Burgers were decent for sure, but not as amazing as the what you might imagine from the menu description. It took 1 minute for my two burgers to get to me, I was happy about the speed, but then they seemed not so fresh off the grill, could be wrong on that. I“ll for sure go back, and amend my rating if need be.
