Get ready to be transported back in time to a bar where the beer is cold, the juke box can be loud, and the shots are a plenty. This is a bar for the simple man. This bar doesn’t try to B.S. you with anything trendy. Some people call it a dive bar or an old man bar. Its just a solid, no-nonsense neighborhood tavern, and that’s fantastic. Suck down a few beers, a shot or two, and sit back and watch the stellar athletics of the Web Balls Deep dart squad. Bide your time for the arrival of Claudio, the tamale guy. There are imposters out there, but Claudio brings the heat every night. The Web just does it right…

Its a dive bar. Cheap drinks, great people and very unassuming. Go here if you want to get drunk cheaply and have a good time.

great dive bar, friendly staff and patrons. it’s like having a drink at your neighor’s with great conversation of what’s going on in the neighborhood. Beer is $ 2 cheaper than places steps away.

A dive bar with darts. My favorite part about this place is that the bar is in the center of the room, and wraps around, which makes it so patrons face one another, and helps bring everyone together. The regulars here get their caricatures on the wall, most of which are funny and cute. The only downside is that the dart setup is terrible. Right next to the door, with messed-up old boards. If you’re looking for a serious dart bar in the area, better head to Lucky’s on Milwaukee.

Nice neighborhood bar. Two darts! But only one is usable atm, the other one is warped beyond belief! We strolled in on trivia night! So I got to shoot some darts and then shoot out inappropriate answers to trivia for free drinks! The staff was friendly and accommodating and the locals opened their arms up to us! I Other then that, nothing fancy, it had the internet juke box too. Four stars cause the $ 2 miller drafts weren’t exactly cold… but the bottles were.

And for the record, I did not call you a cougar Saturday night bartender! I know I will get shit for this at some point. Tiny bar which serves the neighborhood. Meet a lot of interesting locals in here. a couple dart boards, decent specials even on the weekends. A big square bar with seats. The Internet jukebox could be cheaper or offer free plays when the bar is at its lamest. That’s my two cents. Sometimes you can meet the most random of people. A couple of cougars on an early eve’s prowl. Old disgruntled men angry about the lack of art in city dwellings or a couple of kind, drunkards moving from neighborhood bar to bar.

Italian Beef Crawl Stop #6: Burke’s Web Pub When escaping the Hipsterville of Wicker Park head on up to Burke’s Webb pub, the only bar in the area with Windy City Darter trophies. Located on two side streets, this dart bar features two dart boards, daily $ 2 beers, and a no frills atmosphere. The walls are lined with trophies and the bar sponsors some great teams. As for me, I spent my time practicing right-handed darts and firing away at the dartboard. I think I won $ 4 off someone who wanted to challenge.

Cheap and dive-y. always has $ 2 Miller Light drafts. Seems to have a few days of cork board dart leagues. I have only been there on week days, so really cant tell you what its like on the weekend. If you are looking to get away and to not be found, this is the place for you. Bartenders are always nice

A small neighborhood bar with some poker machines. The bartender was friendly and this place must allow free Internet or something. The beer is cheap and this is one of the few places in Bucktown and wicker Park that actually resemble what a true bar should. They have darts which is pretty cool but need to expand to bring in a pool table. The place is too small.

Burke’s is a nice change of pace from the typical hipster crowd that you’ll find in Bucktown. A local’s bar, you find some interesting peeps hanging out here, especially on a weekday night. After downing a couple of $ 2 Miller Lites, I was starving. Shockingly, they actually server food here. They have a small pizza oven and offer frozen pizzas for $ 5. I order one and damn, I don’t know if it was my hunger or whether these things are the best thing since sliced bread, but it was really good.

Interesting neighborhood bar with cheap drinks and darts. The bartender was super friendly, so that helped the quiet vibe in the place. Their Zodiac(the movie) coasters really won us over and were definitely a conversation starter. On the negative side, instead of having the Godfather 2 on all TVs at the same time it would’ve been nice to have one of the basketball games on TV. Also would’ve been nice to have some music on as well, instead of listening to Godfather, but hey, to each their own…

The Web Pub is fantastic place when you’ve got a group of people to hang out with and you want to avoid the crowds. It’s a small location and there aren’t usually many other people there, but the beer is affordable, and you can always play darts or wii for free.

Dart Boards, Friendly Staff and cheap drinks… Good times here, I can imagine later in the evening this place fills up with some interesting people. A square bar, real darts to play with, and a great Juke Box. Classic Neighbourhood bar. Certainly will stop in again, wish we could have spent a little more time here.

I love this place… its a walking distance from my house(about a block) and its a place to get away from all the idiots on north avenue/damen and milwaukee. its super chill, no pretentious nor artsy wanna be dorks and the drinks wont make you broke! You can have conversation, play darts and chill. its defiantly not a meat market, so if you’re looking to get laid, you’ll need to walk to Estelles.

It’s a dart-dive! Two very nice bristle dart boards occupy what seems like half the space in this little neighborhood watering hole, and if you’re not going to Burke’s to play(free) darts, you either live in a two-block radius of the place or you’re lost. Drinks don’t cost much, but they only take cash and as of a few days ago their ATM was broken. The highball glasses are tiny, but I felt I was still getting a good deal on a $ 4 J&B on the rocks. The dive rule does apply(the more people you know the better the place is) though if you’re in the area and itching for a round of cricket it’s a good place to kick off your evening either way.

I love the Web Pub when I am able to go in and enjoy a few after a long day at the nearby«office». However, on a few occaisions, I have walked by the Web in my «office» wear on my way to the nearby parish to give alms for the poor or whatever the hell I was doing and I’ve had patrons throw cigarettes into my open convertible and one time obstruct my way and feel me up. Okay, they should get the fifth star for the feeling up, but I was on my way somewhere important and I had sensitive documents with me(read cash money) and I didn’t appreciate the thuggery. The staff here rocks, so much so that my previous staff could go there and bitch up a storm and I could care less because the bartenders are nice to everyone but especially nice to me! Love you, just let me pass by unencumbered!

TWO bars were built on a lonely street, And sorry I could not drink at both And be one drinker, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was newer and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,
And both that evening equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two bars diverged on a lonely street and I– I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Frost would have gone to Web Pub… you should too

Burke’s Web Pub sounds like some super trendy place that features Wi-Fi and soy-flavored beer, but in reality it’s just the opposite. I don’t know if anything has changed here since the 1970s: not the décor, not the prices($ 1.00 for a High Life!) and certainly not the regulars at the bar, who must have cots set up in a back room somewhere. They do have darts in addition to the cheap beer which is a compelling selling point, but honestly it’s a little depressing even by dive bar standards.

There are a lot of retired Streets and Sanitation workers who frequent this place during the day. Generally, they’re just great salt of the earth people with some excellent stories to tell. There’s a fella that frequents the Web– I don’t know his name, but he’s always fast asleep and sitting straight up. When the barkeep jostles him awake, he orders another beer regardless of the status of the beer sitting in front of him. The older guys here can tell you some great stories about Bucktown in its younger years. Sample of conversation– Barkeep points to his buddy sitting at the bar. Barkeep: «I went on vacation with that guy over there. We went to the Dominican Republic. Can you believe that all of this guy’s pictures had me in ‘em? I mean, I know I’m good looking, but come on!» Buddy:(yelling) I like to photograph whales! Zing.

Strange spider web motif, prices were cheap, and you can play darts, but the majority of the crowd was older regulars. kind of boring over all
