Half the tables were empty, but still was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Morgan at the front was extremely short and rude. I can help but wonder how much revenue they are missing out on by having half their restaurant empty, and 50 people sitting outside, waiting 30 minutes in the heat. I count at least 100 drinks per hour. Don’t go there unless you like to look at empty tables and wonder how come you sitting outside the restaurant.

Not satisfied at all. Over priced. Their shrimps are nothing special. Drink and one meal over 35 $ with tip.

The Good Didn’t have to wait long. Center ally located in Navy Pier with plenty of activities to do before or after dinner. Dessert was tasty. They offered us a sampler of all three desserts — strawberry shortcake, chocolate chip cookie sundae, and mama’s bread pudding. The shortcake was probably our least favorite. I enjoyed the bread pudding and cookie sundae was what you would expect a cookie sundae to taste like. Overall straightforward desserts with no twists or unique flavor profile. The Bad Ordered the Accidental fish and shrimp. Presentation was a little weak considering the franchise is not as openly available everywhere. The shrimp was dry, mahi mahi was also average in taste. But still overall satisfactory. The Ugly The Shrimp Shack Mac n Cheese was dry. Nothing hurts more than going in for a bite hoping for a bit-filled ooze of cheese and getting a dry pasty taste in your mouth instead. With as many dining options available in Chicago, it’s hard to want to go back to a mediocre dining spot in hopes of a better experience when there are endless options in every direction.

It is a little expensive and can be crowded but that’s downtown for you! Whenever I go to Navy Pier this is one of the restaurants that I check out. I normally sit outside and take in the downtown scene.

As usual the food did not disappoint… the entrée net catch is the best! Small location and very crowded, but the waitress was very good. The only disappointment for me was that it did not have a water view… Being on the pier I expected it too like most other bubba locations.

First off I would like to say I lived in Chicago all my life and always wanted to try This place out. Since forest gump is one of my faviort I finally made time to try it out. I herd they quiz you about the movie during dinner it seamed pretty fun. Well when we arrived it took 15 minutes for our drinks. I honestly felt the terrible service was A joke like the movie theme everything just kept getting worse. They had given our food to Other people then it had gotten sent back everything’s was just backwords after all the terrible service and the horrible low quality over priced food they did not even do the quiz. :(it really sucked because I honestly went just for that. Bottem line horrible horible! Service. Terrible food would not feed to my dog!

food was bland, drinks were great, service was ok,. Person working gift shop was NOT friendly and actually rather rude. They should really consider putting someone besides Ms. CICI at that counter if they expect to sell more

Always love Bubba Gumps, it’s my wife’s favorite. This one is the only one I’ve been to that has no view at all. The food was great as always, good steak good garlic bread and my wife’s favorite the net catch! Brush up on your Bubba Gumps trivia before you go! If it had a view I would give it 5 stars

They have so many great shrimp dishes. It is a chain so always consistent food and service. Out waited was super lively and nice. The Peel and eat shrimp started is awesome! Plus the locations is great… nice after hanging out at Navy Pier.

We enjoyed being able to dine outside and the waitstaff was pretty friendly. However, I have a horrible allergy to avocado and have to be 100% Gluten free due to a medical diagnosis. I’m always saddened to see restaurants that are NOTGF friendly but what made it worse was the fact my shrimp and lobster salad was served with avocado! I mentioned it twice to my waiter and even went so far as to explain that I would have significant problems if the salad came with them! I sat another 20 minutes while my fiancé ate his meal. Lastly, I would have loved to consider a dessert but ALL dessert options had Gluten! I was really surprised that my meal wasn’t discounted. Wow!

I used to work for landrys and I was totally shocked for the service I got yesterday I prob will never come back to this location being that I worked in the food industry for 5 years I was blown off by how horrible the service was the waitress named paris was very rude and not very knowledgeable of what she was doing anyways the food was so so for the price i was charged for a salad I never got and the female manager didn’t seem to care that it was a bad experiance and also charged for the wrong drinks we wanted but whatever I def won’t recommend anyone I know to come here it was overall an un welcoming dining experiance and if your gonna spend good money you deserve good service bottle line!

This review is a tough one for me. It was Mother’s Day so I understand its hectic and a lot going on. The food was fantastic, I highly suggest the spinach dip and the macaroni with shrimp. The wait staff constantly kept messing up our order and even the bill! It was not the best first experience I had but I would come back again on a regular day just to see if service will improve.

The popcorn shrimp was decent but overpriced. The alcoholic beverages were good but overpriced. The serve was decent. Overall, the experience was good. Not sure if I will go to this chain again though

Good was great. Our server Haven was exceptional along with the outside manager Maegan. The customer service and food was better than we expected due to the ratings.

We LOVELOVE Bubba Gump Shrimp a whole lot, but a few weeks ago was just not as pleasant as other visits. You see we ordered two of the Louisiana Shrimp, and to our disgust ALL the shrimp was NOT! I repeat was NOT devising D! ! We told the manager and all that he could say was, oh I’m sorry about that. Did not offer anything a new plate, nothing just a simple I’m sorry. I would of love to have heard at least that he would talk to the kitchen prep guy or something. Ugggg that was gross! The people next to us had the same problem but did not hear exactly how the manager handled that one. The Caesar salad was delicious crisp and flavorful. What shocks me is that being a Landry’s member, I would of heard back from them because I submitted a complaint about that and till now have not heard back from them. Well I can tell you that being walking distance from Navy Pier location, we have not gone back and have not even craved their food. Other than that, the restaurant is always pack and it always takes 30−45minutes for a table. If you know you are going though, you can call ahead and make reservations and if there is no wait, they will put you down on the list and that reduces the wait time by a lot. It’s a very popular place and it’s always busy.

To greasy nasty shrimp could not eat. For the artichoke dip small portion size for large chip size portion. Drinks to much ice.

I have been coming here for a few years now and before my last visit a few weeks ago, I always had a great experience. However, my last visit was very disappointing. Our waiter was very nice but didn’t know the menu well and was super stretched because of how many tables he had. We had to wait a really long time to get his attention, even with the whole sign thing. The food was okay but not the best either. It was a decent meal but not worth the price or dealing with tourists.

We had a family lunch at Bubba Gump’s on a Sunday and had a very tasty meal. Décor: It’s a Bubba Gump’s, so you know what you’re getting into. If you’ve never been then you can expect a «divey/bayou themed place that is 100% related to the movie Forrest Gump.(If you’ve never seen Forrest Gump then you need to be slapped). Bathroom: clean and nicely looked after Staff: The host and wait staff were all top-notch. Our waitress was friendly, responsive, and punctual(when we needed her). Additionally, when you«flip the sign» to stop then anyone that is around asks what you need — very cool. Food: We had a big group so we had a decent selection of food(so much that I cannot remember all of it). The things that stick out in my mind are: the Jambalaya(which was just ok… I’ve certainly had MUCH better in the past) and the New Orleans Shrimp(I was told it was AMAZING and the plate was almost literally licked clean haha). Value: It’s at Navy Pier so it’s going to command a higher price, but it isn’t outrageous. Of course, I’d like the see the prices a bit lower but overall it’s decent. I’m a big fan of Gump’s and always enjoy a visit.

I’ve always enjoyed the food at Bubba Gump’s.Was there again today and had the New Orleans shrimp and a cup of gumbo. I would definitely say its a bit overpriced for what you get. No surprises there considering the location. As far as the food goes, I’ve always enjoyed it. Its always on point. Its just a nice place to have lunch or dinner. Cant beat the scenery outside. Lakefront is just my favorite place to be in all of Chicagoland so Im sure I’ll be dining at Bubba Gump’s again!!!

Darn! I wish I could give half stars! The lady at the podium was kinda rude. She was gonna put my family at the bottom of the list. My family got lost and finally made it in. We were seated finally. Our server Bob was awesome! We played«Forrest Gump» trivia and I did pretty well. I guess you could say we got along like peas and carrots. We ordered the net catch and the hubby and I split it. It’s a huge portion shrimp, corn, red potatoes, carrots and celery for about) $ 20. The beers are insanely priced at around $ 11.00. The popcorn shrimp had delicious breading. Prices are a bit high here but it’s a fun place to go.

I loved it here! I’m a bubba gump shrimp fan and yesterday I sampled 5 different kinds of shrimp for lunch. For the appetizer we had Cajun shrimp(and my in laws also had onion rings… I’m not a fan but they loved them). Hubby & I split the sampler which had coconut, cocktail, fried and tempura shrimp with French fries. Yummy! The waitstaff was AMAZING. Everyone was so sweet. I loved each and every person we ran into.
