Poor services. Rude owner(the lady) and her son. Alterations cost A FORTUNE and they refuse to give you an estimate when you drop off clothing to be altered. Not worth the convenient location.

Took a jacket in for an adjustment. When I picked it up the issue I had with the jacket remained, and now whatever they did made the collar lumpy and the jacket hang weird. I wanted my money back for the alteration and all they said I could do was bring it back in for the same person who botched this job to do it over again. No thanks. I won’t use them again. The jacket goes to a relatively expensive suit I needed for a business trip the following day.

I had a great experience, the staff was super friendly and they are open until 7 every weekday which is perfect for me as I usually don’t get home until after 630 which is when Barry Regent closes. Their prices are good and they were very fast with my clothes. This was my first visit, but they are now my go to dry cleaner in the neighborhood.

I went to this place for alterations because it was convenient, but now that I think about it, I could’ve gone to so many other places around the same area. I dropped my dress off on Tuesday hoping I could get it back on Friday(just needed my dress to be shortened). The lady there promised that I will get it on back on Thursday afternoon, so I was happy to drop it off. On Thursday, I called at noon since I didn’t receive a call from them. The same lady picked up the call and said it won’t be ready until Friday night. I was surprised to hear that since I made it VERY clear that I need it by Friday and she promised me I can get it by Thursday. She instead blamed it on me and saying that because I said I would need it by Friday, she put«Friday» in the system…(I still don’t understand what’s so hard to understand about«by Friday») I managed to negotiate a pick-up at Friday noon, but I received no call from the cleaner on Friday, I had to call to see if it was ready. Fine, I will just pick it up, but little did I know she would ask for $ 40! for a 5 inches simple alterations on my dress! I AMNEVERCOMINGBACKTOTHISPLACEAGAIN.

We’ve gone here because we live around the corner. I’ve put up with some iffy work because of how convenient it is, but I’m done. I brought in a brand new Club Monaco White Sweater that had a small spot on it. When my husband picked up our cleaning, they didn’t say anything about it. I opened up the cleaning bag — my sweater was in the middle of about 10 items — I was stunned to find the stain looking much worse than when I dropped it off. They said nothing about this when my husband picked it up, so I walked back around the corner with the sweater in hand. She had nothing to say about it and wouldn’t refund me for a now ruined garment. This place is mediocre at best — fine for work clothes that need to be cleaned, but don’t bring anything you care about here.

Awful. They lost a button to a jacket I had dry cleaned. They offered to replace the button, however the buttons were very unique so they needed to replace all of them. The options they were giving me were tacky and were not good substitutes for the original buttons. I opted to keep the jacket as is — and not take their options. They also shrinked my jacket to top it all off. Would not trust these people with my clothes again!

I had a horrible experience here! 1. I dropped off some shirts for dry cleaning– when I picked them up they still had under-arm odors! 2. I dropped off a coat for repairs — I specifically stated I didn’t want them to open the lining to fix it — just make a little seam where I specified — the lady agreed. When I went to pick it up they HAD opened the whole lining! And charged me $ 50 to do so! When I asked why they did this the lady said«Well, that’s what they did»!! She was rude! 3. Above mentioned coat was dropped off on a Saturday and she said they’d need a week to do the repairs. The following Sat I came back and the coat wasn’t ready. I had to come back the following *WED* before it was ready! Work was not completed in the time quoted. 4. Coat also had a button that needed repairs — the work was done such that now there is a wrinkle/pleat sewed into the front of my coat and it looks AWFUL! They did poor quality repairs. 5. The 2 shirts I dropped off for dry cleaning weren’t ready for 4 days. This is too long — most places I’ve been to can have it for you the next day. No wonder they give out so many 30% off coupons to new customers– with such poor quality work and poor customer service I imagine they had a tough time keeping any customers at all.

Easy location since I live down the street. The staff is very friendly and is good at returning dry cleaning or pressing the next day if I’m in a pinch. I’ve had alterations done on a suit jacket and cocktail dress and was very satisfied with the results. I haven’t had any bad experiences, but the prices are on the high side. It’s nice that you can pay with credit cards though.

I’m short. Actually, if I were 1 inch shorter, I would classify as «disabled» by some standards. What does this have to do with Briar Cleaners? Well, I have to have pretty much everything I own shortened, which means I go here a lot. Briar Cleaners, you have handled all of my cleaning and tailoring needs beautifully, and all of you who work here are friendly and helpful. Thank goodness for Daniela, who can cheer me up on a bad day by teaching me new Spanish vocab, and thank goodness also for your endless supply of peppermint candies!

This weekend I fell in love. Twice. First with a new pair of Rock & Republic jeans that fit like a glove and in a close second place is Briar Cleaners. The jeans you ask? Well it was truly love at first sight as I grabbed them off the shelf and raced to the fitting room. From the moment I tried them on I was hooked. They accentuate all that is round and good and hide that which is plump and evil. I didn’t even bat an eye lash when I looked down at the price tag. I didn’t care. They were mine now and I was theirs. Woops. One small problem; I’m not 6’4. My new denim love had to be tailored. And so it was that I needed to find some place close to home that was reasonably priced and open at a time convenient for me. AHHA! Briar Cleaners. I walk by there all the time and there are always plenty of people going in and out. I check Unilocal reviews. NONE?! I hesitated. I didn’t want my new love damaged or ruined in any way. But with my schedule I would be hard pressed to find a place open later in the evening and so close to my home so I just went for it. The woman that works there is very friendly. I didn’t feel rushed, she seemed very particular when she was hemming, and she even asked me twice if I was sure I didn’t need them sooner. As long as I had them for the weekend I was fine. Three days later when I picked them up I fell in love all over again. Perfection. Of course I went quarter inch original hem. Anything else would not have done any justice to my new love. I’m not sure if it’s possible but the new hem looked somehow even better than before. The work was impeccable; she even matched the unusual light blue color of the original thread. Excellent work Briar Cleaners!
