I had a great experience, everyone was quite friendly. Dr. Behles explained everything he was doing and why. He did tell me about treatments that would be good to have but not 100% necessary. Which is why I think other reviews have complained about «up-​selling», but I personally felt no pressure and appreciated knowing my options.

Avoid this dentist. He seems to place his own financial well being ahead of his patients’ needs.
Dr. Behles told my husband he needed cleaning below the gum line, which would require cutting the gums, peeling them back, cleaning to the bone and then stitching back the gums. This would not only have been expensive, but also very painful. My husband sought a second opinion and decided not to do it. In fact, that follow up dentist commented on all the risk my husband had endured with the absurd amount of xrays that had been taken. This appointment with Dr. Behles was in 1995. Twenty years later, yes that’s right, twenty … no issues with his teeth. My husband rarely has even had a cavity since then, and he has not lost a single tooth.
As for me, Dr. Behles convinced me to replace an amalgam filing with composite for cosmetic reasons. I had no issues with how the amalgam looked. When he did this, he put a shot in my nerve which was so painful I burst out crying – I have never cried before or after this procedure or with any other dentist. Would not recommend – there are many better choices in Chicagoland!

Dr. Behles and his staff are great. My family has been going to Dr. Behles for a few years now and have never had a negative experience. If someone is looking for a quality dentist and an overall courteous and professional staff, I highly recommend this group.

I have been seeing Dr. Chan, Dr. Behles partner, for just over a year and she is fabulous! She is young and passionate about her profession. She is detail-​oriented and takes the time to make sure your overall oral health is headed in the right direction. I am a dentist-​phobe but I can honestly say that she makes it as positive experience as possible. She makes sure you are educated about what you should be doing and explains everything she is going to do thoroughly so you are completely informed. My previous dentist replaced all my fillings but did not make sure that my bite lined up appropriately and since then I’ve had lot’s of problems. Dr. Chan has really taken the time and effort to get my bite back to where it should be. I am tremendously grateful to her. I whole-​heartly recommend her if you are in need of a dentist. The office is completely new and state-​of-​the-​art and the staff is kind and helpful. GiGi, the receptionist, is so nice! Courtney, the dental hygienist, is a bit over-​zealous but very thorough which is really the point.

My family has been going to Dr. Behles for years. We love him. I’m sorry for these people’s bad experiences. However, I always feel very comfortable and well taken care of when I’m at his office.

I was disapointed with my experience with Dr. Behles. I went in because of a broken a tooth. Although he fit me in right away (a bad sign?) he never treated the broken tooth. Instead he recommended a series of treatments– as I had not been to a dentist in several years. This included a $ 1000 «scaling treatment». His filling procedures were were extremely painful and uncomfortable. I never completed the treatments because I was not comfortable with constant pressure for more money. He even forced me to take out a special «Care Credit» credit card because they refused to finance any of my treatment. When I was forced to cancel an appointment due to work obligations his office threatened to charge me for the appointment even though I had never cancelled before and they had already gotten $ 1000s of dollars from me. Meanwhile the broken tooth he never treated continued to give me trouble and I have had several painful infections as a result. I have not been to his office in awhile and I continue to get cards and phone calls begging me to come back. I am still looking for another dentist to complete my treatment.

I totally felt the same way. They were more interested in «upselling» me to come in twice for a cleaning and having «small cavities» filled– total cost would have been about $ 3000 (they have a financing plan, how nice). I went to another dentist who said the cavities were non existent. A co-​worker went to Dr. Behles and was talked into a root canal and crown for $ 4000. Not something he could afford and it wasn’t anything that bothered him. I had the distinct feeling they were just trying to generate more $$ through extra visits and upselling services.

I finally left his practice after going to him for a few years. The office had negative energy. The receptionist was a total B — -. He could not keep any assistants and they kept turning over. I felt very uncomfortable with how he treated them in my presence. I started off redoing some old fillings. Each one turned into a root canal and crown. I spent over $ 20,000 last year. A cleaning turned into a dental infection, then I had more root canals and a redo. My bite was horribly off which caused me a lot of jaw pain. I had to actually do physical therapy to correct it. I also had to replace a crown since he did a poor job which threw off my bite and put all of the pressure on one side. Thanks to a new dentist I am toally fine and pain free. the jaw pain has gone away. I would avoid Dr. Behles. There are too many other good options.
