Bombon Cafe

This has been the worst experience I’ve had with this Bakery which will result in me not shopping there any longer.
Heres why, i was a long time customer of this location and recently relocated i emailed «Laura» several times to ask about my cake not once did she reply i go into the shop and turns out shes is not returning emails to clients she doesnt make big bucks ($$$&) out of because she sooo focused on the marketing and making her shops name bigger!!! Hense the reason she’s raised her prices sooo much! Pfffttt! Please this is pretty sad for her to focus on an area and forget where she came from!
I rather go spend my money else where!!!

After reading all the reviews and finding out they make Guava cake I was excited to order from them. My boyfriends birthday was today and this is his favorite cake so about a week ago I ordered from here. When I called I asked if they made guava cake, the girl said yes. I then described the specific kind we were looking for (because apparently you can make it multiple ways) and she said that’s how they make it. Fast forward to today and the cake is NOTHING like I was told it would be. But trying to give them the benefit of the doubt we take of home anyways, the cake is dry and there’s so many seeds in the cake that it’s disgusting. I’m completely disappointed and feel bad for my boyfriend because that’s the one thing he was really looking forward to

Laura and team are amazing! We have been avid cake fans of Bombon for many years and had to use Bombon for our wedding cake in 2015. We had a specific vision in our head on what we wanted created and Laura brought it to life! We passed out 4 flavors of cake to our guests which included guava and cheese, pears and berries in wine, rompope and stawberries, and strawberries and champagne. All amazing! Thank you Bombon!

This review is for services Bombon provided for my daughter’s quinceanera. We received professional service from the beginning. The cake tasting was essential in finding the perfect cake for my daughter’s quince. My daughter wanted bling and flowers on her cake. Bombon delivered and her cake was beautiful and more than what she had dreamed of. Everyone at the party raved about how beautiful the cake was and how great and fresh it tasted. Bombon cake gallery also provided a sweets table for our party. The sweets were delicious and the best that I have tasted. I really appreciate all of the detail and the professionalism placed into the birthday cake and sweets table. Thank you Bombon and special thanks to Laura.

Bombon came with our venue package at the Warwick Allerton Hotel, but I am SO happy that it did! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful cake (4 tiers, included with our catering package). We had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding cake that they had ever had and we were so blown away during our tasting session.
Truly a fantastic place. We can’t wait for our 1 year anniversary cake!

I’ve had their cakes before when they had a store at Ogilvy Metra Station & based on that wanted to get a cake as a birthday present, turns out it was a horrible decision.
I did ask them if the (Mango) tres leches cake was made today & I got a yes on that.
But after eating a slice of $ 36 cake (yes! small size), everyone figured it was not fresh but might have been made atleast 5 days ago as it was dry at its best given it was ‘Tres Leches’ cake which was supposed to be soft & melting in mouth, disappointed & not returning/​referring any of my colleagues to them.
Worst Tres Leches cake ever!

We had our wedding cake made by Bombon last year and recently had our anniversary cakes delivered by them to celebrate our one year anniversary — my guests were raving about how delicious the cake was at our wedding and I was reminded of how wonderful they are when we tasted them again this past weekend. The cake is so light and moist with wonderful flavor — I highly recommend Bombon for delicious and beautiful cakes!

As we were looking for bakeries for our wedding cake, we had many family and friend recommend Bombon Café. We met with the owner Laura, she listened to our needs and desires for our special day. Laura and her team went above and beyond, they exceeded our expectations. We did an initial cake tasting and found several unique flavor a that we loved. We then scheduled a second tasting so that we could narrow down our decision, believe me it was tough. My husband and I opted to go with 3 different flavor a for our wedding cake so we went with their Guava, Cheesecake and Nutella Banana with hazelnuts. All 3 of the cakes were a big hit at our wedding.
I would definitely recommend Bombon bakery to anyone looking for something special and unique. You definitely get what you’re paying for. We love Bombon Café!

Came to Bombon to get some brunch and what do you know?! It’s closed!!! The sign on the door states that they are open on Sundays from 8 – 4 and open for brunch. Guess I won’t be having brunch there anytime soon! You may want to update your hours if you aren’t going to follow them.

In love with this place and Chef Laura! I stop talking about the Tres Leche, delishious! I have finally found my go to bakery for all occasions– cakes and treats. Actually ordered a cake for a Super Bowl party today and I can’t wait to share it with all my friends. If i could give them 10 starts, I would! A must try! They have a few locations to choose from too.

The birthday cake we ordered for our son’s party was better than I expected. It looked and tasted amazing. We ordered the chocolate tres leches signature cake with the requested design about 4 days prior to the party. It turned out wonderful. Thank you Bombon for such a tasty birthday cake!

As we were searching for a great wedding cake, we were referred to Bombon by a family member. We met with Laura the owner, and from the first meeting knew we wanted to get a wedding cake from Bombon. All of our guests enjoyed the cake as well as the cupcakes. We appreciate Bombon going above and beyond for us even after the wedding.
We loved the service and consider ourselves new customers :)

We agonized over the dessert option for our wedding (held 10÷04÷14) and after considering a gelato truck, a pie table and even a cupcake tower, we decided on a cake table. I really wanted cakes that were beautiful, unique, light and delicious. BomBon was all of this and more!
First let me say that Guillermo was very helpful in helping me to determine how many cakes I would need to feed the number of guests we expected. I initially planned to buy four 9-​inch cakes at Bombon and two cakes at a more traditional bakery. A couple of days later I decided to get all of my cakes from Bombon and added two more to my order. I ordered only a week in advance and they were able to fulfill my order easily and were able to have my cakes ready and waiting for me to pick up.
I ordered the following cakes: Rosita Fresita, Chapicuara, Celeya, Bombazo, Acapulco, Convecto. All three tres leches cakes were the perfectly moist, not lacking any of the milk mixture, but not overly saturated. All of the cakes were gorgeous and all of them were delicious. I got particularly passionate reviews for the bombazo, celeya and chapicuara.
People were so excited to try the cakes that the line for the cake table formed so FAST! I couldn’t believe it! And most people tried multiple cakes so there was not a single slice left at the end of the night. My mom was so disappointed at the lack of leftovers that she asked us to take her to the bakery the following Monday and we were compelled to purchase another cake to bring to a dinner party the following week. With family birthdays around the corner, I am sure that we will be ordering more cakes soon! So glad that we used Bombon for our cake table!

DO go there if you want to be treated as a second class citizen! I paid for my order and because I was in a hurry to go to the bathroom, I told the cashier that no receipt was needed. I finished eating my food and headed for the exit when I was confronted by another employee (apparently the first on had already left) alleging that my check was still open on their system. I don’t really care about the fact that this guy was being a complete jerk by giving me the worst attitude as if I got caught stealing from these jokes and he did not even apologize for his behavior upon finding the signed cc receipt; what bothers me is that no establishment should have a right to treat their patrons in that manner no matter how good (or bad) their food is…

I was having a sugar craving and cookies was the only cure.
Bombon café was the perfect discrepancy for my medicine. The cookies wear soft, cheap and delicious. They only problem was the bag emptied mysteriously quickly.

I bought my friend’s birthday cake here and he loved it. I got him the tia martita and it was perfectly moist and decadent. Take note, my boyfriend is a very picky priss when it comes to food. So, for him to enjoy this must mean it’s really good :)
Definitely going to come back here again.

Breakfast, salad, tortas (sandwiches) and drinks offered all day. It’s difficult to decide when everything on the menu is delicious. I settled with Maya and Mexican Café. Yum!
The mini-​cakes (aka Tres Leches) are hiding due to summer heat. Inquire first.
The only foldover guava in town.
A star less as service can be spotty, and kitchen is notoriously slow.

So I went Thursday and my overall experience was okay.
the service was a bit blah for me.
I had: a Pilion sandwich– good and the flavors melded very well; a pastry that had strawberries and cream cheese-​pretty tasty; a mocha-​okay but the chocolate used was quite good; the cheesecake would have been much better without the layer of preserves on top (or whatever it was) .

My daughter had the steak sandwich-​we both were quite unenthused about it
The real standouts were the salad (I forget the name but it had goat cheese, sunflower seeds, beets, and some more good stuff) and the chips and salsa. I’d go back just for those they were so fresh and tasty

Had 45 mins to waste before class and I was super hungry so i started walking and found Bombon Café!!!
Its a tad bit PRICEY! but definately worth it. I had the piolin torta a jugo de naranja and a tamal rojo con salsa.
I could see why alot of mexican people would dislike this restaurant but in my opinion the food is more like mexican gourmet– ish type of food ??? … anyway I was too fulll to try the desserts but they looked deliciousss!
