Blue Crates

After moving to back to Chicago, I had some items that didn’t fit well in my new apartment, so I started looking for storage options. I first looked at Public Storage, but the cost was high for the little storage I needed and the nearest location, with a small unit available, was 30 minutes away (not during rush hour).
I did some more research, as I’d heard about «on demand» storage, and that’s when my search brought me to
. The cost for each bin is cheaper than a cocktail, and it helps me stay totally organized with their digital catalog and free swaps (my OCD is really shining, y’all). Plus, I don’t have to drive to a stabby warehouse, hopefully remembering my gate code and the key to my lock, searching for my things in a dark, creepy storage unit, while all the spiders in Chicago glance down upon me (arachnophobia at it’s finest).
The total cost for 4 bins/​month is significantly cheaper than storage, and I didn’t have to buy boxes, tape, a giant lock, or insurance… everything is included in the price. They come to you, after easily scheduling a time online, and the customer service has been really helpful every time I’ve contacted them.
I’ve only swapped once so far, and all of my stuff came back in perfect condition. I’ll probably do another switch after the frigid winter ends, so I can get my bulky Northface, duck boots, and thermals out of the apartment and neatly organize my spring and summer clothing.
Honestly you guys, this is the way to go if you need storage. I just makes so much sense. No hauling, no driving, no dimly-​lit storage units, and you have easy access to your stuff (and an awesome digital catalog) when you need it.
